Camaria had done her job as per request. It had been difficult keeping the mares in site without being seen, they were alert at all times so it had taken much longer than she had initially expected to gather the information that she could. Turned out there were more than just the two mares to deal with, it was a group of them and they were traveling together headed north, but that wasn't a major concern to Camaria, Achilles could get the mare alone to do his job. She had to admit that the idea of him being sent to kill the mare still bothered her. She wanted to know who would request such a terrible thing and what the mare had done in order to be dealt such a fate?
There was little more she could learn from the group. She had watched them for several days now seeing their patterns, observing the group dynamic and anything else that would be important to pass on to Achilles. Now was the time for her to deliver the information he had gathered and allow him to do his job - even if part of her wanted to try and talk him out of it. She took a wide berth when traveling back to where Achilles was trailing the group at a distance, she did not want to be associated with the attack when it came. Spotting him as she set down Camaria folded her wings and walked towards the stallion. Perhaps taking a short break after the job was in order, for she wasn't sure that she would be up to spying on another if Achilles role was successful. "You have your work cut out for you this time Achilles." Was all she said. Camaria wanted to see if he was indeed still planning to go through with this before divulging what she knew.

Achilles had begun to wonder if Camaria had decided to bail on his request. Annoying - but given the discomfort she had displayed when he revealed his target it wouldn't be completely unexpected. Achilles did not entirely understand why everyone always got so worked up over a female target...what made females safe from the backlash of thier own actions over males? Chances are if he was sent after someone they had done something to deserve it..male or female. Society was so very backwards sometimes.
In any case it was starting to look as though he was going to have to take care of the recon part of this job himself. With that in mind he was considering picking up the pace so that he could start to close the distance between him and the mares he was following. But no sooner had he begun to plan this then Camaria arrived in a rush of wings. Perhaps her professionalism had won out after all. "That is not ill news fair Camaria." He told her in a smooth voice. "It has been a while since any of my targets have presented a challenge."

Camaria couldn't help but let out a small snort. She knew he wouldn't be scared off by a challenge and in fact would likely find it all the more appealing if his target was so compared to that that just fell over at the sight of him. Had it been a male target she would feel less anxious about this whole thing. Of she knew females could have evil intentions and had her share of run ins with them in the past, hell her recent job for Ironforge had put her in the thick of danger and two of the mares there had been bent on killing the group of knights, but this seemed different. These mares didn't seem evil, they just seemed...self-sufficient. They looked like they could certainly handle themselves but did that mean the pale mare deserved to die. She really wished she knew the reason why Achilles had been sent after her.
With a breath Camaria reminded herself she still had a job to do. "I'm sure you have seen some of what I have. It is more than just two two mares now, there were five of them, three winds, one who looked like she had kelpie blood and...." This was where she trailed off for a moment and realized it was the big reason why she almost didn't report back and why she wanted Achilles to just forget about the whole thing. "Damn it Achilles there's a foal traveling with them!" Perhaps it was unprofessional of her to snap like that but this was an innocent foal they were talking about. Forget what the mare did to deserve this what if they foal got hurt in the process. "I can tell you nothing else until you promise me no harm will come to that foal. She is innocent of any thing that mare has done and from what I have seen wouldn't be alive if the mare hadn't found her."

Achille took in the information with a thoughtful expression on his face. He had thought the group might have grown bigger and it was hard to miss a foals print mixed in so not even that news was entirely unexpected. The exact number of the group had eluded him until now however - with the winds coming and going, sometimes flying , sometimes walking it had been hard to get a decent count. Camaria had managed to get that information however - even if she was being mareish about it all.
Having mulled over the situation in silence for several long moment he turned to give the intelligence spy a withering look. "You should know well enough by now that I don't run around mass murdering Soquili. I take out my target - thats it." The mare was acting like he was a serial killer or something. "I'm just like you..I get hired to do a job and I do it." He informed her with an arched brow. Really, the way some people treated him - it was absurd, considering some of the Soquili he had taken out in the past...why society should be thanking him!
"Your getting to attached to your subjects Camaria." He warned her, just a touch more softly. It was something that happened to spies and mercenaries and just about anyone who made it their life to track others. Eventually you ran across a subject with a bit of a sob story or some sort of 'reason' for what they had done and you started to go soft. It was dangerous and it made him wonder just how much longer Camaria would be a reliable spy. Some Soquili recovered from this softness..others did not.

She knew that the moment she had said those words of concern about the foal that they had been wrong. She let out a huge sigh and took a steadying breath. "I know that is what you do. Just as I know what my role is in what I do. I know you would never bring deliberate harm to a foal." She knew this, and it was why of all the regulars she worked with that Camaria trusted Achilles even given his less than preferred professional status. He was a trustworthy client and she had just done something stupid in front of him.
"I'm sorry, my last job was...more than what I was used to and it has gotten me a bit on my nerves. I think after this mission I will be taking a short break to refocus." Giving her head a slight shake Camaria tired to forget about what was bogging her down and to focus on what her job was at the moment. "The foal seems to wander off whenever they stop to rest. I'm sure she is just looking for a chance to play even though she is likely exhausted from the traveling. The brown mare...she may involve herself in the fight, she seems to have a deeper connection to the pale mare than one would think. The others will only become involved if you do not accomplish your mission quickly enough. I doubt the pale mare will call out to help but you have to assume just about everything can and will happen if you want to pull this off quickly and efficiently." With her focus back on her true task Camaria felt a little better but still planned to take that break after she was done.

Achilles was rather glad that Camaria seemed to come to her senses. Or at least the mare stopped being muleish about things and began to give him the information he requested. Mulling over the information a plan began to form in the stallion's mind...one that he was sure Camaria would not approve of but he didn't have to tell her...their agreement did not stipulate such things.
"Interesting...and worth keeping in mind, but certainly nothing that causes me undo worry." He stated after a few moments of silence. Of course Camaria had yet to give him the information he truly sought and so he prompted her slightly. "and their location...any clues as to where they might be headed?" His task would be so much easier if he could move ahead of them and gain some sort of terrain advantage, set up an ambush..anything but endlessly trailing them and waiting. The waiting was always the hardest part of the job for Achilles...he could be patient, but being capable of doing something did not mean he had to enjoy doing it.
However now was not the time for such inner woolgathering and the paint stallion switched his focus back to the informant before him. Now was the the time for planning and preparation. He did not ask after the mare's former job - the one that seemed to have rattled her, partially because he, himself, did not care to know her personal business and partially because he was fairly certain she wouldn't tell him anyways. Such was the nature of their relationship.

Camaria gave her head a nod. "I didn't expect you to worry about such things Achilles, you are smart enough to know what can and may happen in nearly every situation and worry is nothing more than a distraction that will get you killed." She knew that quite well seeing many of the younger up and coming information gatherers allowing themselves to fall prey to the ones they were watching because they were too busy worrying to truly pay attention to what was going on around them. It was a common misconception that her job was easy and that anyone could do it. There were plenty of dangers and it took time for one to perfect their ways and keep one step ahead at all times.
"Their location...is a bit harder to determine. The entire time I followed them I didn't hear a single word spoke between any of them and they all move silently with the exception of the foal." Her gaze turned back to the direction where the group of mares was traveling. "But they haven't stopped for water since I started trailing them. There is a river not too far ahead from where they are now, they will reach it with enough time before nightfall to slack their thirst and find a place to shelter down for the night." She paused for a moment going over her knowledge of the area in her mind to try to determine if there were any other possible spots the mares could stop for a drink but there were none. "It is the only source of water for some distance and with the filly in tow they will need to stop there to drink and rest."

Achille's took the compliment she handed him without much of a reaction. Such compliments were all but obvious, of course he was capable enough to handle this without worry. In any case the information she provided was far more important then the compliment she paid him.
"I see...it sounds like this might me my last chance for quite some time then" He remarked, more to himself then the mare before him. Of course business here was not yet concluded and he turned his gaze back to Camaria. "Will it be the usual payment then? Or did you have something else in mind?" He asked with a neutral expression on his face. He expected her to take one of the usual payments...rare healing herbs, some tidbit of knowledge that she might then trade for something more valuable. Some informants liked the shiny two legger baubles but Camaria had never been one for things such as that.
Of course sometimes the requests went a bit off the normal path, Achilles had traded other services for information, revenge hits, friends rescued, directions to little known area's and once much to his vain pride his services as a stallion. He still had no idea if that service had taken and to be honest he did not care one way or the other. He'd gotten the job he'd been hired to to do done and that was all that had mattered both then and now.

Camaria took a moment before speaking again. This was the last chance she had to turn Achilles away from this. And yet, it wasn't her place to do that, she may not agree with this job of his but it was his choice in the end. She had done her job, she could have turned down the mission right away left it to someone else to do, but she had agreed. Besides he knew everything he needed to know, even if she said it was a bad idea he would be able to go through with it. "Yes, this may be your last opportunity for a while. The next water source is nearly a full days walk away." It was less if they flew but with a few ground Soquili among them so it did restrict the groups movements quite a bit.
"The usual payment will do." She told him with a slight nod. This had been a relatively easy job and so no extra payment was needed. Plus she still had that extra payment from that extended mission she had gone on for Ironforge and having too many payments to keep track of would be a distraction. "I'll collect the payment after you complete your job." Camaria needed to check on her stock of items that consisted of her usual payments for jobs and go over a mental checklist of things she might need to know to see what to request of him. Her gaze turned once more int he direction the mares were. "You had best get going, it will give you time to find a good place to...do your job." She couldn't say set up an ambush point but he had already known she didn't care for this job so he would understand.

Achilles eyes Camaria for a few long moments as she obviously considered her payment and when she finally spoke it was much as he had expected. "Very well then, I will send word once the mission is complete." He stated, a slight nod of agreement to the normal contract. She was still uneasy about what he planned to do..he could tell by the way she hesitated, the way she minced words, something for which Camaria was not typically known for..oh yes she was careful about what she said, all informants were..but this was differant and he couldn't help but tease he about it just a little bit..even thought he knew it would likely make her angry.
"I suspect you should wish me well then." He goaded "Would be a pity for the job to fail and your payment to fall through." He went on in what sounded like a sincerely sorrowful voice. A voice which might be believed if only the emotion also reached his eyes..which remained far to calculating for the voice to be truthful.

Giving her head a nod Camaria looked to Achilles. "I will be near the pine grove we passed a while back for you to finish. I'll meet you there." It would be hard to do so but she trusted Achilles to do the job with speed and skill that would insure the job was done properly. She had been about to leave when he spoke again and...was he trying to joke with her? She was actually taken so aback by this that she stood there staring at him for a few moments before a smile crossed her lips.
She waited a moment and put on her most pleasant face and widened her smile just a bit. "Well, sweetie, I hope you take care on this trip, don't keep me waiting too long." She emphasized it with a wink and then began to walk away, making sure to bump her shoulder with his. Once she got a bit past him she looked back over her shoulder, a smile still on her lips. "But if you back cover with mud and blood and get the clearing dirty again it's over for us." With that she walked off, leaving him to his task.

Achille snorted at the mare's antic, amused by her response and somewhat surprised too - he had expected something more biting, perhaps a glare or two..but this was alright too. Achilles appreciated someone who could take a bit of ribbing in decent humor. "I'll miss you Camaria" He called out to the mare as she left, pausing for a moment so she might think he was finished before he threw out the punchline "But the view of you leaving is well worth the loss." Corny perhaps..but sometimes corny was suitable to the situation.
Still chuckling slightly to himself Achilles turned his mind to the task as hand, spreading his wings and with a powerful stroke taking to the air. He could not fly the entire way - doing so would alert his targets to his presence but he could hug the tree tops for a little while without being detected, gain some time before he would have to descend and set up his ambush. It was going to be an interesting afternoon.
