Zia's knight index would be two years old this May, but it's level of completeness was obnoxiously low, especially when Zirconia made entries it was more like a ******** of useless information without any proper spreadsheet fields filled.

It still had her attention, though. Wandering around Destiny City hoping to catch a new one on patrol or an old one with an incomplete profile in the pokedex.

She intentionally tried to stick to typical patrol places. High altitudes or youma heavy streets, and sometimes she ended up there totally on accident. Like tonight where she hadn't actually meant to creep, but she was stranded in the area when her car stalled and she just kind of kicked at the tires and swore at it before deciding to sulk and start walking.

Troy may be a Squire, but he still wasn't that much more focused of a Knight. It was just a half hour into his patrol - which had become more and more scarce in his schedule as he picked up more stripping gigs - and he already was already growing bored. Most of the time he patrolled these days, and in general, was just for making a quick route home. It was always easier to hop over a building than walk around the block.

Luckily for his boredom, he watched as a girl struggle with her car for a bit to the point of her walking away in frustration. He wasn't exactly a mechanic, but he thought he could offer a hand. He hopped off the roof he was perched on, landing down on the street with a grin just a few feet before her.

"Car troubles?"

"Holy s**t." Zia still hadn't gotten used to the energy blindness that came with her stubborn refusal to power up, so the squire dropping in went completely unnoticed until he was right in front of her.

Usually she managed to creep a lot better, but she was out of her usual area of patrol anyway.

She didn't spend too long being wide eyed and jumpy. The way her shoulders shifted hinted at a clear comfort with with the powered denizens of Destiny City. And maybe a little too comfortable with knights in particular since she grabbed her phone from her jeans pocket and snapped a picture of him before even bothering with conversation.

Par for the course, new knight, new information to analyze. A quick up and down of his uniform and looking back to her phone before she suddenly stopped and took a double take.

"I... hi?" Skin baring uniform, and he wasn't bad looking at all. Zia had shameless elevator eyes.

She she ended up making a noise to clear her throat and smirked. "Don't tell me, Chaos stole your shirt."

"Naw, why?" Troy asked. "Has Chaos been stealin' shirts or something? That seems kinda weird. I always reckoned they wanted to take over the world, not clothes..." He paused. Wait. She was making a joke, wasn't she? Damn, he felt dumb. "Er, I mean, why? You like what you see?"

He pushed his vest back a bit to expose even more of his chest, flexing his arms and tightening his torso. He looked good, and he knew it - his body was his moneymaker.

Ever slow on the uptake, another observation came to him.

"Wait, what are you?" he asked. "How you know about them Chaos fellas?"

Zia really wasn't expecting a minor jab of a joke to be taken so seriously and just kind of watched him with a hint of a cringe. "Oh, honey." The pity might not have been much better but it was a knee jerk reaction when he didn't get it. Like he was a big dumb puppy she wanted to take home and coddle.

And then he started showing off. "Oh. Honey..." She bit her lower lip and had a moment being lost in thought about other reasons to take him home.

She peeled her eyes off of him to look back down to her phone to crop the photo she'd snapped without permission and fiddle around while she pondered the answer to his 'what are you' question. "What do you mean? I'm a lot of things. I'm ******** amazing," She teased as she smirked down at her phone screen, glancing up to wink at him before she went back to tap-tap-tap typing something. "Chaos isn't exactly big news when you've been living here for like... ever."

"Okay, what's your name? Squire or page?" She said, trying to get down to business. Her piece of crap car was long forgotten by now.

Troy nearly blushed as he relished in the pretty girl checking him out.

"You're ******** amazing, ya say, huh?" he teased with a laugh. "Alright then, at least ain't arrogant about it or nothing."

"My name's Troy Squire," he said, relieved that he didn't slip out his true name. "I'm a Squire of Ricky Cunningham." Crap. His brain played tricks on him again. "Er, I mean of Chronos...why? I still don't know a thing about who you are. For all I know, you could be an enemy."

"Well I try to contain it," Zia laughed at his teasing.

"Oh, squire, impressive." Or it was to a collector who rarely caught knights at their middle stage, which she kind of was. And then he introduced himself was a squire of Ricky Cunningham and he was back to that dumb puppy. And she was honestly wondering how he managed to actually survive the landscape for so long.

Until she was distracted enough to knit her brow at his princess. "Chronos has knights?" She hadn't run into a knight sworn to a princess that was actually around, much less one she knew. Even though she might've caught on had she stayed at the Surrounding rather than flailing around in some drama and ditching the place. And then the indignity. "Chronos has knights? And Aquarius didn't say anything!" An entire primer on knights and not one mention that the Zodiacs had them. That b***h was going to get an earful when she found her.

"And it's a good thing I'm not your enemy," She said, trying to change the subject. "I mean, I could be anything. And you just told me your name! And I mean, I would never do anything with it-- because you're adorable-- but not everyone's as nice as me." She gave a lazy shrug. "I'm not a senshi, or a knight, or a nega. So don't worry about it," And held out a hand in a long delayed greeting. "I'm Zia."

"Yeah, I gotta stop doing that," he said, referring to giving away his name.

"Zia? That's a weird name," he commented and shook her hand lightly. He hadn't heard the name Zia before, although he had met plenty of people with names that sounded strange to him since moving out of Alabama. "Is that like, French or something?"

"And yeah, Chronos has lots of Knights," he started. He tried to remember the names of the rest, although his memory wasn't the sharpest and it had been a while since all the Zodiacs had gotten together. "There's me and uhm, Celsus, Concordia, Bifrost....erm, a couple of others. They're all nice fellers. You know Aquarius? She's a nice girl." He wasn't sure why she seemed upset to find out there were Chronos Knights, but he didn't think to ask either.

"So your car had some issues I saw," he noted, a half-question. "I can take a look if you want?"

"It's... my mom trying to be unique," Zia responded with a derisive snort and a wave off. Considering the names other kids got stuck with in her mom's social group's apparent one uppmanship of 'creative' naming, she thought some archaic Latin name was getting off easy.

"Aquarius is a b***h," She corrected lightly and laughed. "But I like her anyway." She did, really, enjoy bothering the wound up and paranoid Zodiac, but facts were 'nice girl' was not a description high on her list of things to call Aquarius.

"Is your wonder on the surrounding? How do you function in your court? I mean, you're actually like.. like a court. Do you have past lives? Or ancestors? Or--... or like... What's..." The rapid onslaught of babble suffered a serious clog of thoughts that she was having serious issues articulating.

Until he reminded her about her car and she was distracted away from the ******** of questions. "Oh, yeah, I don't know what it's problem is," She said, gesturing over her shoulder to the old Impala that had been lovingly maintained in spite of a few fender benders. Or had been until recent months. "I dunno, it's a piece of s**t. I was gonna call someone and... walk home." If she found a mirror, that is. But her contempt for the vehicle and her lack of knowledge about it was evident. Because it was totally the car's fault she forgot to change the air filter. Totally.

"Erm," Troy started. His brain nearly exploded with so many questions. What was this? School?

Sliding past most of the questions, he moved onto the car. "I ain't the best with cars, but I can take a look. Yer best bet is to call someone. Ya ain't got a cell phone or nothing?" He thought of Ellie briefly, who had helped him with his own past car issues. And his car had of a ton of issues. "I know a good mechanic if ya need one."

"And uh, yeah, the place Troy? That's my wonder. It's on the Surrounding place," he said, regurgitating information he had once been given but never fully made sense of. He frequently visited his wonder, but never knew much about the rest of it all. "My ancestor is up there. He's an old a*****e. He thinks I'm like, stupid."

Zia was wide eyed with expectations and all she got was an 'erm'. Her fingers gripped around the phone she'd been typing into the whole time and all she could do was make some awkward whimpering noise in her frustration. Not that she was entirely frustrated with him, since she was sure her own inability to speak English contributed to the total lack of answers.

"Oh, mechanics," Zia knew Ellie but was most definitely not thinking of her since her knowledge of Ellie amounted to '********* big blonde one who kept shitty leftovers'. "Yeah I don't know, I guess I was gonna think about it later," She tapped her fingers on the smart phone she had been fiddling with to answer his question, and shrugged a little. "I don't really know anyone that's super good at that stuff."

Wonders on the surrounding made sense, but she just filed it away to harass another Zodiac about later. Ancestor was also good, and was something that got typed into the phone too. "Oh, well... that's mean," She frowned. "I'm sure you're not stupid. And, see, are they all just bitchy? I mean you're only the second I've met that met their ancestor but my brother kind of describes his-- ours-- I dunno, whatever, as this screeching harpy nag monster."

She pursed her lips in a silent moment of thought before concluding, "Maybe being dead just makes them pissy."

"I dunno, I reckon it would," he shrugged. He'd be pretty pissed off if he were dead too - the thought of it freaked him out, especially with doubts about where he'd end up in the afterlives he believes in. He always thought there was heaven or hell, and would have preferred heaven, but meeting the ghost of his ancestor really messed up that whole perspective. Would he be a ghost too? "Your brother's got one them ancestors too? Huh."

He still wasn't sure how the whole ancestor thing worked, or what it really meant to Knights. He was mostly uneducated in that regard.

"Well, if his ancestor is really a monster, you might wanna kill it again cause it might be a 'youma' thinger," he pointed out with such great intelligence.

He took a look at the car for just long enough to realize he had no idea what the s**t he was doing.

"I think you might want to call AA or someone," he said, forgetting a third letter there.

The return to the car subject garnered a slight eyeroll from Zia. It didn't matter to her, it was an inconsequential piece of background noise she would deal with later after a mirrorwalk home and probably dinner. Because dinner was usually her top priority, not a car she probably shouldn't even be driving considering the noted lapsing insurance and registration issues. Even after getting kicked into the real world, Zia still had the spoiled rich kid issue of assuming little laws like that didn't apply to her.

She just heaved a sigh at both his suggestion to call Alcoholics Anonymous for her car troubles and his assumption the ghost was a youma.

"Tsk, oh, honey, no," She totally reached up to pet his hair because that was a thing Zia did whether she knew people or not. Awkward physical contact barriers most humans instinctively knew to obey were lost on the not-cat.

"It's not important. Like I said. What's important is I found you!" She declared, holding up her phone again. "What's your weapon? Can it do magic? And what was your page weapon?"

He wasn't sure what to make of his hair being petted. Was it flirtatious? Belittling? Random? Whatever it was, it was kind of weird. Although he also kind of liked it.

"My weapon? Oh, right, its a big piece of wood," Troy explained. It was unclear whether he was talking about his weapon or his p***s. He used hand gestures to establish size, rather than just summon things out. "It's pretty big and thick. I don't really know about magic. Page weapon was the same, I reckon, just smaller."

He had hardly experiment much with it - he only used his weapon, a branch, to beat up enemies rather than test for any magical capability it might have. He supposed it was possible, it did look like a wand similar to those satan-worshipping teens had in the Harry Potter movies that he never saw.

Zia paused and had to resist choking on repressed laughter she was trying so hard not to let loose. She'd never assume he meant his weapon was legitimately his p***s but it didn't mean her brain didn't go right in the gutter as he explained.

And it wasn't like it was a long way to go because she had just gotten out of the mental gutter in regards to Troy's various physical attributes. "Oh god, stop," She exhaled like that was all she could do to keep a lid on her reaction because as much as she found him hilarious as ********, she wasn't sure he'd appreciate her openly laughing at him.

She cleared her throat, trying to get her brain back on track and not on dicks or anything else because she was on a mission to collect knights and try super hard not to get side tracked.

"I-...Okay. No magic?" That was actually a thing. "Well because, see," She bounced around to show him her phone screen, containing the little mobile app rendered spreadsheet containing several knights listed. Only a few were past page stage, though, but the cells that listed their weapons were highlighted. "I mean I'm not arguing with you, I'm just saying, every knight I've met so far got their magic at squire." If he was an exception to the rule, then that was important to her, especially since he was already a variable being a Chronos knight.
