This thread is for the Metaplot round 1 battle for Anastasia. Only a member of staff or Kinesthetic Muse should post here.

Subtract -5 from attacks that use an element the target is resistant to. Add +5 to attacks the target is weak against.
To battle, first make a post rolling the die stating only the action that you are doing. Once the total has been calculated, go edit the post with an actual short paragraph of action.
Be sure to state what it is you are doing in each post, keep a tally of your current HP at the bottom of your post. If you gain HP be sure to note how much you had before the healing was done, followed by what it is AFTER the healing.

All of the Possessed humans have glowing eyes. It was speculated that the color hinted at which element the Malice controlling the human was most attuned to. Blue for water/ice, red for fire, purple for wind, green for earth/plant. Other colors were present for those with other elements. Avon had taken volunteers to go out and rescue these humans from the grasp of the Malices, together they went down to the town and spread out to fight off any possessed humans.
Your Meta has run into a possessed human. They both face each other, ready for a fight. The human makes the first move, sending out an elemental attack aimed to slow down your Meta.

Anastasia had willingly volunteered to help with the Malice issue as soon as she heard it, figuring it'd be something that could not only help her grow stronger, but figure out weaknesses against the Malices so she could help people who either were born with them or had been possessed.
The ghost had barely seen the human as it attacked, the fire based attack scorching arms as she turned. Grimacing, she looked at the human, not too pleased to be attacked by the very element that harmed her the most. "I can't believe someone would do this to people like you - most humans are kind!" Anastasia muttered under her breath before she rushed forward to attack, keeping her body low as she ran forward and her arms to her side to reduce the amount of visibility to her vitals that the other could strike as she moved. As she got closer to the human she turned just slightly so she would be going to the left of them. Bringing up her right hand, she grabbed their face and used the opposite form of Curaret, Noceo, which dealt damage instead of healing.

She immediately screeched, feeling the pain in her face. She then reached up and grabbed hold of Anastasia's arm with both hands, gripping it tightly as they began to heat up, eventually catching fire. She did not want to get hit like that again, so she was sure to try and make it hard for the Meta to use her hands.

Screaming in pain as the possessed human grabbed her arm and started to burn it, her skin quickly going from it's normal green then to a dark reddish brown and then black closer to the others hand, she panicked and quickly formed a dense cloud of fog in a 20x20 foot radius before wrenching her arm away from the other. Sniffing slightly, the Ghost gently held her hand over the burnt area before taking several steps back to get away, somewhat thankful that there was no wind so the fog was dense.
Action: Defend [Effluvium - Can caus opponent to want to flee if they have a Malice]

A sudden overwhelming need to flee caused her to back off until she was outside of the fog. She coughed, taking a few gasping breaths. She then, in a fit of rage, sent several fireballs soaring into the fog in an attempt to hit Ana.

Anastasia saw the ambient light of the fireballs before she saw them, but she ran out of the way of the center of the mass of fog, though as she ran she ran towards the other, her hands out and expelling more of the dense fog to give her more cover so the other was attacking recklessly. Hopefully it'd eventually give her a moment of reprieve to catch her breath.

She backed up a little, trying to stay out of the fog, but kept up the fire ball throwing.

Anastasia dodged the fireballs and skittered back into the fog before kneeling down and muttering to herself and bringing up a faint shield to block some attacks. "Please work please work.." she whispered to herself as she sat in the small circle.

Since she couldn't see much of anything in the fog, she simply continued to round off balls of fire into where she thought the center was.

The shield was quickly destroyed by a stray fireball that just barely missed her face, but it left a nice sear mark on her cheek. Frowning, Anastasia whispered something under her breath, her skin glowing as she was healed.

Anastasia dodge rolled out of the area she had been kneeling in when she had healed herself, quickly pressing her hands on the ground and forming more fog, hoping that she could keep the fog up to continue to confuse her opponent and possibly blind them if they were inside of it.

She began to cough, and was forced to back up. In frustration, she unleashed a massive fireball into the fog.

Anastasia took the full brunt of the fireball to her back, having turned around to figure out which way she could go to attack, but as the fire seared her back she stumbled forward and groaned yet didn't give up. Cursing under her breath she got onto her feet, shaking off her now burned up shirt, and ran full speed at her opponent before going into a slide and grabbing the Humans ankle to deal damage.
