so blood, I've heard blood is hard for some people so I will do my best here to teach it with pictures without Livestream because livestream hates my guts and would be the best option for this but we'll see how this works for you all first. I'll try to make it as simple and easy as possible.

So here I started with an Akuma foot, Its a raised foot so its up off the ground, Usually most feet are on the ground in a pose so you would make the blood according to your pose and gravity so I'm going to show you with a more difficult pose first because you may have something like a tail or a weapon or an ear or something that is not on the ground you may want blood on but you won't know how. So we are going to start with this.

So as you can see my Akuma isn't the one harmed himself, but this technique WILL work if your pet is the one with a chunk missing out of him instead, you just follow the same thing. Now where ever your lines are, whether it be an edit or just the pet itself, follow the lines in a dark red color for the blood, or if you have another shade of blood you will want to use that color. It doesn't have to be perfect. its blood. Be messy with it.

For Angel's Wistas, you will note pets will have different colors of blood on them this is because Wista have Silver blood, Human and Demon have reds in their blood, Grugach have Blue blood, Daemon have Black blood, and Fallen have a sort of White/silvery blood as well like the Wista. Hybrids tend to have one of Iridescence or a mixture like that of Lilian (aka Angel) so always pay attention tot he type of blood on your pet in Wistas. It may show what alignment they are already.

Next you want the blood to gather around according to gravity on your pet. Here Its going to be going toward the bottom of my pet's feet or around his toes so I want to have this blood wrapping around his toes and going down his feet. If you have it dripping down the pets tail or ear or weapon, you want it to drip downward and gather at a specific point and "clump" there.

Here I did it to the rest of my pets toes, you can see now where I finished putting it all the way down to my pet's foot, this is what you want your blood to do. You want it to gather toward one point by gravity.

Now of course, realistically speaking, this blood irl would not stay on this pet's foot because of gravity, its going to drip off and dry and obviously its going somewhere while he's walking. Since he's raised his leg, his foot was previously on the ground, I'm going to to make a puddle of blood on the "ground" where his foot previously had been because the blood would have dripped off his foot and landed there. If your pet's foot is already on the ground, you need to make blood pooling on the floor. If you are making this something that is an ear that is above part of the pet, you need to put where it is dripping on the pet below it so there should be a new place on the pet where you are going to have to make more blood flow down it toward gravity then.

Example would be if the pet's tail goes directly over its back and there is blood on it, the blood will drip on its back, you need to have a "puddle" of sorts being made on the back of the pet where the blood has dripped on it and will then go down the back and toward the floor down its leg and what not.

For things high above the floor like a tail or weapon, you do the same thing that I'm doing here, you will need to place this puddle underneath where the blood is or if its in motion, where it had been.

Next from my foot to my puddle, I'm going to make a "string" of blood. This is because I imagine blood and mud to be "sticky" as it is drying.. idk why... it works for me though. So this technique does work for things like mud as well or paint or glue or anything really of liquid but WATER. Water is a different thing. Different tutorial I'm afraid.

But doesn't this look AWESOME already just that one string there. its so gross looking yet awesome. Now mind you that the string needs to thin out towards the middle because the longer it is like that of bubblegum you pull away from your mouth, the more likely it is going to break. So if your object is far from your puddle, your string may not reach your puddle, it may just drip downward instead. This object is close, so they are "connected" together.

Make more drips and strings until you are satisfied with the results at this angle.

Now because gravity is trying to pull your blood straight downward you want to have U shapes of blood below your object and straight drips below it if you puddle is not directly below your object like mine isn't here. I have to create a new puddle see.. A smaller puddle, a new puddle is starting to form where he will place his foot.

This could be your last step if you wished or not. Sometimes the pet looks good with just this added and sometimes it needs a bit more. After you've completed the previous step, you want to add a few splatters around your pet that are dripping downward (they will not be directly downward either, they will always be sort of.... s shaped almost or squiggles maybe is a better way to put it...) The splatters will start with large dots where they first formed, then go downward until they thin out and then become a little larger again when they form a "droplet" of liquid where they are going down. You also want to create just static dots around that represent droplets that are not moving anywhere like on the floor or that are dripping from the foot or weapon or whatever toward the floor.

If you want to be industrious like I usually am, you will want to add shading to this a bit, its not too hard. Its just taking a lighter red and then adding a bit of where you think it should light up where light hits it.

Then take another even lighter red and make highlights over that in the same way, just smaller strokes and you'll get shaded blood.
