It took a lot for Ariane to feel anything near guilt towards someone; she felt guilt for not having his back when Bix "died" that one time, but it took a good friend dying for her to feel it. With Deryk, her guilt came from not visiting him more often when he was in a coma; she had never regarded herself as a "good friend", but she regarded Deryk as one of her bros.
Maybe that's why she's at his door with a single chocolate chip muffin she had picked up from the cafeteria. As with most of her guy friends, she did not think about that thing called 'privacy', and decided to try the door.
If it wasn't locked, she was leo-strutting right in.

In that case, it was a good thing Deryk wasn't doing anything particularly illicit when the door opened up. At the time, he was just kind of relaxing on his bed, but he soon sat up when he realized Ariane was coming inside.
"Oh. Uh. Hey Ariane. Er. What's up?" he blinked.

"Here, catch," Ariane didn't give any additional warning before she tossed the muffin - thankfully wrapped in a clear plastic bag, so it wasn't going to send crumbs flying everywhere - towards Deryk, "Just checking in to see if you're still alive, and if I had caught you naked, that would just be the icing on the cake~"
Closing the door behind her, she made her way towards him, "Feeling better?"

The next thing Deryk knew, he had a muffin flying at him. He fumbled with it a bit, but he did manage to catch it.
"Oh cool. Thanks," he said while opening the bag up so he could start eating it. He paused and blushed a bit when it sounded like she almost... wanted to catch him naked in here?
"...Whatyouwantedtoseemenakedreally?" he uttered quickly before shaking his head.
"Y-yeah. Healed up for most part. Just a big scar left behind."

"Why? You offering to do me a free show?" Ariane replied with a wide grin, wriggling her eyebrows at her friend; she was never going to directly answer that question, unless she felt like it. it was just more fun that way, especially since Deryk was really easy to tease.
"At least the scar that was left behind was not on your behind," She laughed, flopping down on the side of his bed, "That would be a shame."

"N-No! Notlikethatatall!" Deryk said while waving his hands before him frantically. Letting out a sigh, he shook his head. "Nope. Definitely not on my bottom. Just all over my front," he said. The hunter lifted up his shirt a bit. The bottom of the scar could be seen running across his stomach. The angle that it was at suggested it ran up towards his collar bone on the opposite side. He quickly dropped his shirt back down. "So uh. Anything new with you? Assuming you didn't almost die too."

"You sure?" She asked, trying to keep a straight face as she wriggled her eyebrows in a suggestive manner, "Who knows? Maybe I've seen you in the nude before~" More eyebrow wriggling followed.
"That's a looooooong scar," She whistled, "Remember what I told you when we went on that one external mission with Jude a long time ago, and you ended up pretty scratched up? Scars are sexy. Besides, most hunters have a scar or two somewhere on their body."
It came with the job.
"I almost died," She deadpanned, "Died of boredom. I guess I was getting a little lazy. Or demotivated. Whatever it was, I hadn't been very active."

Deryk eyed Ariane. No, he was certain she hadn't seen him naked before. Sadly, most likely the only ones who have were other guys. Sigh. Forever alone. He had just recovered from the stings of Valentines Day too.
"Yeah. Well. Definitely racking up scars and bodily damage."
There was the one on his back, the one on his lip, this new one, and of course his missing finger.
"Maybe you should try sparring with Rep. That should help with boredom," he suggested sarcastically.

"Oh... Touché," Ariane winced, although it was all clearly pretend, "I've heard enough things about Rep - and read enough of his messages to others over the island's Twitter - to know that he's probably a walking contradiction, thinks the world of himself, and that attempting to strike up a conversation with him would only be a waste of my time and energy... And probably take a few years off my already short expected lifespan. Unless he passed 'How to be human 101' while I wasn't looking, I'm not gonna bother."
He doesn't care about her existence, she doesn't care about his.
"How did you end up in a spar with him anyway?" She asked, "He doesn't seem like the type of company that you would keep." Then again, she didn't expect someone like Deryk to tolerate her constant butt molestation either.

Rep certainly had quite the reputation to say in the last. Deryk soon heaved a sigh, looking over towards where his phone was resting on his night stand. "Got a text from him issuing a challenge for a spar. Wanted training I guess. Me? Figured I could use more combat experience too. Just... didn't expect to nearly be killed in the process, no."

"Ah, so he initiated it," Ariane muttered as she eyed her friend, "Did he apologize to you?"

Deryk had to think about that one.
"If he did, wasn't awake for it. Hadn't seen him since then really," he replied.

"It was an accident," She stated in a matter-of-fact manner, one eyebrow raised, "It's common courtesy and logic to apologize for accidents... Because if it wasn't an accident, it would mean that he deliberately went too far."

"..Like I said. Hadn't seen him since I woke. He could have apologized to me while I was all coma'd and stuff. Just wasn't aware. You know?" Deryk shrugged.

"Maybe," Ariane answered, pausing for a bit before her attention went to the partially forgotten muffin, "Don't drop crumbs all over your bed, or the ants are gonna come."
... Are there even ants on the island?
