This forum topic is basically used for us to come and post a ideal rp that we can all join in and have fun. It can be us fighting a army of demons, mages learning how to our own spells, to giant robots fighting in space. If you have an rp idea that you think is good and that we can all like come post it here and lets see how it goes. ^^

I have an idea that focuses on alchemy. Not just like in Fullmetal Alchemist that mostly involved elements, but includes earth, wind, water, fire, dark, light, ice, lightning, and plant. Almost a form of magic in its own right.

Aside from that, the general plot includes fragments of black metal falling from the sky, later declared Stardust. It unleashes black surges of energy where it impacts the world, and causes monsters and animals to mutate, becoming more vicious and violent. These "negative zones" possess great energy, and those that could brave these creatures to collect from the Stardust chunks could harness great materials for weapons and armor. Some fragments scattered from the impacts, and with enough, people could forge simple gear from them.

The Stardust can only be worked using alchemy. Each working makes it stronger, from rank 1-5. Each time it is worked, it becomes much more difficult to work again with alchemy, making it stronger and more resistant to alchemy. Only a group of master alchemists could get it to possibly reach rank 4, and 3 is no picnic to reach either. So reaching rank 5 is thought to be impossible. Startdust is stronger than mythril at rank 2, phoenix ore at rank 3, and even adamantium at rank 4.

No prob. Just something I recently came up with and wanted to try out. Considering the nature of the plot, it allows for greed, justice, and a multitude of other possibilities for each character.

I think we have some, but they're not mine to give away, and we don't drink coffee. We use em for the few guests we get for other drinks.

Sounds cool, but could use a more specific plot about the stardust. Like are the players trying to find where the stardust comes from? Alchemy plus space travel could be an interesting mix. Or clearing the negative zones and only stardust equipment is effective on something? That'd could be a nice adventure base. And there's a possibility of putting a psychological edge on it if the stardust can make nightmares manifest in reality (hey, it's already warping creatures, not that much of a stretch).

Alchemy and space travel would be a nice combination. And maybe stardust mixed with atmospheric entry magnifies the radioactive properties of it, while wearing large amounts of it without building resistance can have an effect on the mind. So players can gradually build resistance to it by using it in moderation, and nightmares can be the first symptom of overexposure. So it has a balancing system, and alchemy forged Stardust can help reduce, or augment the radioactive effect. Leaning toward reducing it for right now, as the raw metal seems to have more negative power.

Hm. I'll be sure to throw out more idea with better allowed time. Until then, I got a good chuckle from the Muggy reference.

I would love to start a Pokemon RP but i am totally not sure how to keep battles not stupid and all "IM TEH BEST," "NO IM TEH BEST" sweatdrop

If anyone knows a system that would work it could be really fun.

because Pokemon is awesome...

Pokemon is awesome! The only time I've had trouble with Pokemon battles in RPs ending up like that is when it's a tournament game. Then again, I tend to not emphasize battles for games I run (primarily because I dislike writing them sweatdrop ). I've done GM dice rolls before, taking into account the type system. There's also rewarding well written fair battles, like letting the player get a rarer Pokemon they want to use or a helpful item later on. More recently, I'm trying to run battles by having the players only write a portion of them so that they don't drag on between players.

It kind of depends on your players too.
