Parks were always an interesting place on a nice day. People from all walks of life came out to mingle, walk their dogs, get coffee, and just people watch. Just a hodge-podge of everything.
Delilah was part of that as she walked through down one of the paths most people used as just a cut through. Her face said she had business to do but her pace said she wasn't in a rush. Frankly she just didn't care when she got there but her attention was on the flowers coming up across the path.
A strange red one caught her attention enough for Delilah to stop and kneel down. As she reached for it, her eyes and face seemed to flash a smile. If someone pointed it out, she wouldn't believe it but there she was, stopping and smelling the roses with a child-like sparkle in her eye.

Castille too had decided to take advantage of the beautiful day by going out on a photo trip. While she had spent many years wandering Destiny City and taking pictures of its streets, she never grew bored with it. The park in particular always had something interesting going on.
The blonde was looking through her lens while sitting on a bench, finding her targets from the tiny view finder instead of her natural vision. It didn't matter who, what or where it was; if she thought it was interesting, she would take a picture. Babies, birds and dogs were in her gaze.
She saw someone looking at the flowers, and smiled behind the camera. Here was something a little different. She focused and clicked a couple of times, changing her angle and focusing on different parts of the scene. The flower, the girl, the smile she produced. All looked very peaceful.

For a moment Delilah had blocked out the world from her mind as she gazed down at the bloom. The red had her so spellbound that she almost forgot she was in public. Almost.
The smile on her face slowly began to harden at the edges as she felt a chill up her back. Like someone or something was watching her. Blinking several times as she came out of the trance, Delilah quickly looked around.
When she glanced to the side, her eyes found a person not only watching her by taking photos!
"Hey!" Delilah snapped out and quickly shot up to her feet. Standing, she nearly ran over towards the blonde. "Hey! What do you think you are doing? Stop that!" Her hand reached out for the lens to take it away.

The sudden breaking of the spell caused Castille to jump, dropping her camera from her eyes in surprise.
Oh no.
The girl had realized that she was taking pictures, and whats more, she wasn't happy about it. The photographer suddenly looked nervous, and she could feel her face flush with anticipation. This was the part where she would have to stammer her apologies and hope that they would press charges. If there were any to be pressed. She had never actually looked into that.
However, when the girl approached her and attempted to take the camera, Castille pulled it instinctively towards her chest, saying "Hey! You can't take this!" She attempted to cover most of it with her hands, rising to her feet.
"I'm sorry, I was just doing project!"

Like a cat stalking a mouse, Delilah moved up towards the girl reaching hard for that camera. She wouldn't take it permanently but she would delete the shots. It was plain as day that Delilah had caught her off guard. What did the woman expect?
"And you can't take my picture without permission!" Delilah snapped back as she made another attempt at the camera. Finding it rather difficult, she settled on an easier target: the mouse.
"If you are doing a project they should have told you to ask permission before snapping away! I have a right to privacy as much as you have a right to take photos of the trees!" The raven-haired girl was feisty as she leaned one way and made a dive towards the camera strap. "Give me that!"

She wanted to slap the girl's hand away. There was no way she was going to let a stranger take her prized possession! Castille had never dealt with someone who reacted this way. Most of the time, people just didn't care as long as she wasn't invading their space.
"If it helps I was focusing more on the flowers." she said, twisting in her spot to keep the grasping girl's hands away from the camera. Perhaps if she yelled, someone would think that she was being robbed and get the crazy girl off her.
"And I couldn't help it, you looked so peaceful!"

"Peaceful? Peaceful looking at a flower?" Delilah called out as she drew back and looked at the girl in the eyes.
"How could I look peaceful staring off into space?" She asked finally as her eyes showed disbelief. The entire state of mind Delilah had just been in seemed like a far of memory to the hard working teen. Still, if this woman could prove it to her, she would be rather interested.

After her explanation, Castille felt a little better, and could finally look up at the girl. "I didn't mean to make you upset. I'm a photographer by trade, and I wasn't going to sell your picture or anything.."
She rose from her seated position, wiping her hand off on her jeans. "How about we start over. I'm Castille."

Delilah watched the woman cautiously, her eyes going from face to camera and back again. It was not that she 't trust the girl to not post her image all over the web but it wasn't that she trusted her to do it either. All in all, she just didn't want those photos to exist. For all she knew, it could just a close-up shot of her nose!
Yet the move the girl talked, the more Delilah felt her anger dropping. By trade?
"Then what do you do with them if not sell them?" She asked not sounding all that inclined to be friendly.
Yet when the offer to start over came two things went through her head. The first was to accept and maybe get some decent answers. The second was to be the witch.
Turning her cold red eyes onto Castille, Delilah took a deep breath and nodded. While rather short in tone, she did give in. "Delilah." Letting a second pause to collect herself, she tried again. "So just for yourself then?"

"Well sometimes I enter them in competitions." she explained, dropping her hand awkwardly. "But mostly it is just for practice. I keep my absolute favorites, but I just like to have my camera in hand. You never know when an award-winning shot will present itself."
"I am really sorry I upset you." she continued, adjusting the camera so that it hung near her hip instead of her navel. "But like I said, the moment was so serene...." She trailed off, rubbing her arm as if cold.
"So what were you actually thinking about?"

Delilah's head leaned to the side as she listened. In a way she was feeling mixed emotions now towards the photographer. Slowly those sharp red eyes started to look at Castille from head to toe and back up again.
"How many competitions have you won?" Her voice was honestly curious as she nodded towards the camera. The idea of being in an award winning shot struck the vanity within Delilah. Though she would hide it from others, she couldn't help but wonder if maybe she reacted too quickly.
But Castille''s question made her blink. What was she thinking about? Why is that important? Still, she had shared something with her so Delilah felt she should as well, if just a little.
"If you must know, I was day dreaming." She shrugged as if it was no big deal. Why should it be? "Though what did you think I was since you were looking on?"

Castille shook her head modestly. "I've only won three or four times, and gotten second in a couple more. Nothing too important." She downplayed her wins, though the medals and award winning photos were all hanging up in her room just above her bed.
"I've never entered a photo of a person before though. Always landscapes or close ups. People generally are hard to take pictures of." Not to mention that people can react like she did
AH, a question for her! She tapped her chin thoughtfully. What did she think Delilah was thinking?
"Well, I thought that perhaps you were thinking of someone important. Someone that the flower reminded you of. Not necessarily a guy or anything, but like, a family member?" She too shrugged at her answer. It wasn't very qood, but at least it was honest.

"Do you not have models?" Delilah honestly asked when she spoke of the human aspect. "You said you did it by trade so do people not line up for you?" It was an question she didn't have an answer for. So used to the idea of a fashion show but doing landscape images almost came as a surprise.
But she couldn't hold back the near scoff when Castille mentioned her thinking of a person. Sure she loved her family but not many people were that important to her. "You have a very creative mind then. A romantic mind at that. I bet it helps you capture some beautiful things people with practical minds miss."
In a way Delilah was paying her a compliment but she still couldn't really say what she was thinking about could she? Signing, Delilah decided why not.
Reaching into her bag, the teen pulled out a black note book and flipped it open to a random page. 'I was thinking about a design for a new dress. I came to look for inspiration and well, maybe that flower was it." Shrugging, she flipped the pages passing tops, dresses, designs taken from a rabbit she saw several weeks ago. "Though these never leave my pages. In here are items that I don't plan on making into reality."
