My favorite book of all time right now is Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. My second is Beautiful Creatures (which has a movie out still haven't gotten to see it)
They both are dark romance, I like that genre. Hush, Hush tells about fallen angels. While Beautiful Creatures tells of people who are born with unique powers. I love them both so much, what are your favorite books and why?

yum_tea Two-way tie between The Soulforge by Margaret Weiss and The Art of War by Sun Tzu.
I really like The Soulforge because I'm a big fan of the high fantasy genre in general, and the Dragonlance series of books presents all those awesome fantasy tropes we know and love with just enough unique twists to keep things interesting. Plus, I really, really like Raistlin Majere.
The Art of War is an excellently written treatise on warfare that is interesting as well as informative. The advice Sun Tzu gives was meant for generals to wage war with, but it can be applied to anything from business and politics to gaming.
Yes. I use The Art of War to be a better gamer. Don't judge me.

♥ Bram Stoker's Dracula - definitely! It is a most fantastic book that I think everyone should read at least once. It's written like a diary or journal and in a slightly old language, but it's still great!
The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson is also a good one if you like fantasy. It's a trilogy called Mistborn. And since I've only ready the first book, I don't know how the two others are. It's set in a fantasy world known as "The Final Empire" and the evil that lures there is known as The Lord Ruler - an almighty king that cannot die, or so everyone thinks, since he has been around for over 1000 years!
I have so many books that I really, really love that I could talk about forever!! <3 I love books. :'D <3

As childish as this might sound, the Harry Potter series will always be one of my favorites. I grew up with the books and the movies and fell in love with the characters, the world, the magic. It will always have a special place in my heart, no matter how old I get to be.
Another book I really loved is Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion. The movie is out now, but I haven't seen it yet. I loved the character of R and being able to get inside the head of a zombie and see them in a brand new way. I would definitely recommend reading it if you're into zombies, romance, or adventure - because it's got all of that. ^^

Psykfall ♥ I totally agree with you. <3 yum_tea My mother bought a copy for me several years ago, I think for my birthday. I was kind of surprised, since it's not really the sort of thing she would read herself. It is definitely a much-loved book among many much-loved books on my shelf. <3

For me it shifts based on genre. But as a book I'd recommend that everyone read is A Taste of Rabbit it's just such an interesting read. It's sort of an animal rights book now that I think about it, asks the question if we would continue to eat the animals we eat if they started talking and acting like us, all told through the eyes of a fox and a rabbit.

Mine's Les miserables by Victor Hugo (It's nothing like the musical xp ) Even though its nearly 2000 pages long i always find it so easy to read, and it always makes you think about something new. heart

Of all? Rose Daughter. I adore Beauty and the Beast and the way this one ended was beautiful. It was also beautifully written.
I'm also fond of Pride and Prejudice. I love Jane Austin's writing style and the atmosphere of that time period.
And Black Beauty.

Hmmm honestly speaking. My favorite of all time is Blue Bloods by Melissa De La Cruz. Its an amazing series. I'm completely in love with it and the author. Its a very different vampire book. In my honest.opinion, this series makes Twilight look and sound like crap. I am currently waiting for the announcement for the new vampire series by the same author. In this new series it stars the main characters best friend and her human sister. I am currently in the stage of getting a few quotes from this series done as tattoos smile

The Hush, Hush series is my favorite series off all but my favorite book is The Night Circus. It's beautifully written and every time I read it, I always think of what I could add to the circus.
