Having flown away from the school for a bit, Poke had located the sea not to far away from halloween town, and without a second thought she angled her wings downwards and dove into the inky abyss. With a giant splash she entered, her wings dissapearing to allow for better locomotion underwater.

Halloween's oceans were always vast and deep, providing a inexhaustible number of places to explore and discover. Though it wasn't the most safest of areas, and if one wasn't careful they would be in a world of hurt. These issues were of no concern to the dragon ghoul however, but she always keep this knowledge in the back of her head. As long as she didn't go too deep, she would be fine.

So far, she hadn't located anything of interest. These waters were foreign to her, so she had no idea if she would dive down right to the dark zone, or if she would hit a bit of coral. Hell she might find a sea serpent. In that case..she'd probably have to swim for her life.

By now Poke could make out a expansive coral system that suddenly came to a steep drop, and she herself was debating on weather to venture further down or to just hang out here. On one side the coral could hide some interesting things, but the deeper parts was where should could search for sunken treasure. Ahh, treasure chests. Just the thought of finding one made her tingle all over.

Her thoughts where interrupted when she caught sight of something swimming towards her in the distance. She could tell it was a mermaid by her long luxurious tail ending at the waist. She didn't really know any mermaids or mermen, considering that whenever she got close they would scream 'HOLY JACK SHE'S GOING TO EAT ME' then swim for their lives. Not that merepeople were part of her diet anyway (she was not a fan of exploding kthxbai). This one though seemed ot know she was there, and wasn't bolting for it.

Slowly, she swam towards Amiphi, calling out once she was a little closer. "Hello! Do you live around here?" Perhaps she knew ere some sunken ships were?

"An Amityville student huh? Fancy that" Poke returned the smile with of a grin of her own, one hand clasping her side so she could hold up and show the skull pin that marked her as a student herself. "I don't believe I've seen you around campus before. But then I haven't been there that long. Pokerus is my name, whats yours?"

Using her tail to keep her in place, she floated there as Amphi approached. Her compliments had the dragon ghoul feeling rather embarrassed, one hand scratching the side of her head. "You think so? Thanks." It wasn't everyday a mermaid complimented you on your looks. "Er, you're rather pretty yourself." Which was a understatement, since mermaids were known for their beautiful looks. Though Poke appeared rather nervous at being asked if she ate mermaids or not.

"I've never considered mermaids to be something I should eat." She responded. "You don't need to worry about that, I'm not that type of dragon." Though she was well aware that others were. It always made her feel uneasy, to be compared to others of her own species who were more ruthless and violent. It wasn't something she wanted to be, but nevertheless she did feel the pressure at times...

A third year? Poke appeared wistful as the term was used. "I can't wait until I get to third year. I'm currently in my second, but once I get to third..." Ah, the strength she would possess then! She'd be a force to be reckoned with, and would finally be able to
hold her own against the strongest in the school. Maybe she'd be able to take on Red then? Or Medea, or even Caelius?

It was clear Amphi was quite taken with her, or at least her general appearance. It was such a nice feeling to have someone just come up to her and like her right off the bat. She was liking this ghoul a lot. "Course we can be friends!" She laughed, intrigued at her comments about dragons. So there were other dragons on campus? Although she was pretty sure she'd seen a few more turn up herself, although she hadn't met them yet.

"I was thinking of doing the same thing myself. Though I've always been cautioned about going into the deep abysses, as they do have some nasty characters down there..." She rubbed her chin in thought. "Plus it can be a b***h to navigate." Her gaze feel to the darkness below them. "I have traveled to a few before. Sometimes I've been lucky, though other times I've been chased out." She looked back at Amphi curiously. "How deep have you explored before?"

The dragon ghoul's ears twitched with interest, intrigued at the new piece of information she heard. "Ahh, so third years get a mentor? That sounds sweet, what kind of mentors are there?" Was it the teachers, or could be other halloweeners? The next question had Poke pause for a moment, before shrugging. "Not sure yet. I have plenty of time to figure that out." Chances are it involved finding territory of her own, treasure, and fighting. Or all three.

"A cosmic dragon? Now I've heard it all." She then replied. She had heard of some weird subtypes, but that one? it was pretty high on her list. Jericho was also one she had heard about before from others, his name kept cropping up here and there. She then laughed at Amphi and her obvious love for water creatures. "Glad to know I have a fan among merpeople."

As the mermaid floated lower and lower, Poke followed suit, her eyes scanning the darkness for signs of treasure, or perhaps something more malicious. A smirk appeared at the mention of 'pretty fish.' "Yeah...theres plenty of glowing fish down there..." And plenty of ones with giant teeth and lifeless eyes, Those were always fun to see. Some of them tasted good too.
