Mission Briefing: Your orders are as follows:
You have been selected to hunt down and find the One-tailed beast that had destroyed the village and headed North. Our intelligence has indicated that it has suddenly and abruptly disappeared not too far away from a village. You have been selected to find out as much information as you can in order to hunt down the Chakra monster.
We know nothing about the village or its people, though we have not had any sort of past conflict from them, and we would like to keep it that way, if things get hostile you are to get out of there, thought we do want information concerning the tailed beast, it is not worth our young ninja.
Mission Objective: Information Gathering and if possible, capture and obtain.
Mission Rank: Global Event
Mission Attendees: –Uani Aramori -Inari Aramori -Makoto Lung

Inari Aramori Inari walked along kicking his legs out in front of him. His legs were stiff making his stride awkward and off balance. His arms were placed behind his head as he walked down the road on their way toward the village in question. With a loud yawn Inari spun around. "Sooooooooo, let me get this strait. A giant kat blew up our homes in a single night killed a massive portion of our people before vanishing without a trace and they send genin to look? Well i suppose as long as we dont get caught we should be ok." he said with a shrug. Looking between Uani and their newest add-on he pointed at makoto. "So what can you do medicine man?" he asked pointing his index finger at him. "I mean Uani and I can stay hidden for months if we choose and even if we're caught we have... methods to get away. so whats your story?" he asked in a bored tone. Don't take everything so seriously If you ignore the fun in life it slips away and you miss out on your chance to truly live.

Uani was walking behind Inari, her hands interlocked behind her back as she walked along. Things had certainly been interesting lately, she felt like its been endless work since the compound got wrecked. Not that she was complaining, she had plenty of energy when it came to missions (not to mention she had gotten quite a bit of rest after their last one). Then as Inari spun around and spoke, Uani looked up to him with a smile.
"Well yeah we may be genin, but we're from the great Aramori clan! Information gathering is our speciality! And seeing as we're the highest ranked Aramori in the clan...that means they're sending their elite on this mission!"
Uani calling herself elite might have been enough to make half of the Senju clan die laughing, but when it came to certain things one couldn't argue that it was true. In a mission where they were allowed to run away from danger, it was hard for anyone to stop her. Uani looked towards their new teammate as Inari spoke to him, asking what he could do.
"Hopefully you're good at hiding yourself without making a big smokescreen that people can't see through... Something like that causes problems...like teammates kicking other teammates in the head when they think they're hitting an enemy...wouldn't want something like that to happen...again..."

After what would seem like forever, the group of Ninja would eventually come across their first glimpses of ‘civilization’ in the form as they came across a ridge that over looked what they could assume to be their destination. From the distance that they were at, they could see a large wall made of stones and a surprisingly large town nestled within its borders. About the only thing that they would be able to make out properly would be a large spire that thrust its way from the center of the town, and old Clock Tower seemed to stand defiant of what was around it. The architect design was ancient, bearing mute testament to how long it had truly stood there and over looked the village that had been built around it. Surrounding the outer wall were various farms that were likely the source of produce for the town and its occupants, even from their distance, they would be able to see small dots tending to the fields and the harvest that was on their property.
Getting closer, however, a picture of poverty and atrophy were prevalent in all that was around them. The farms looked more dead than alive, their bones could be seen through their paper thin skin and as the group of ninja passed them by, they turned their heads and watched with cheerless faces with some level of disconnected curiosity, and perhaps, even some level of animosity for them. With glares the women would pull their children into the house as the three passed them by with unwelcoming glares, as though they would take off with their children and devour them alive. Passing by the farm steads they would easily be able to see that the crops were blighted, it was a little wonder that these people seemed so sickly as the vegetables themselves almost looked decaying even if they were freshly pulled from the ground. A pair of old men who were probably gossiping earlier stopped their conversation to watch as the three passed. One of them men shifted his corn pipe in his mouth before chewing on the end of it. There would be no pleasantries from these people, even if they were greeted cheerfully. After the group was a fairly ‘safe’ distance away from these people, they slowly started to pull themselves back to their blighted crops in hopes of feeding themselves on more day, though they still kept a leery eye on the group till they were totally out of sight.
The next thing that the group would come upon would be a sign that seemed to be of more benefit to the crows than it did to any travelers. The sign itself was so weather worn that it was impossible to read, the paint that was once on it was faded, though there was something that was starting to become scratched into the wood, though before the message was even halfway through the message stopped and four claw marks raked downwards. With that little grim image out of the way, the group would approach the open gates of the town.
The town itself was very strange, in that the streets were made of cobblestone instead of the usual dirt of the village that they were used to. Now that the group was in the town, they would be able to see that the clock tower in the middle of town was broken, but it would still be a great point of reference if they chose to look around the town and interact with the people in their quest to find what they were looking for. If they cared to venture around town they would quickly discover that this place was a rather seedy and unpleasant place over all. The buildings were run down but still operational, the food stalls were very much an open market style, where the smells of the blighted food and rancid fish were being both displayed and sold to those who were shopping. In the Northwest portion of the town, one of the more notable places was a Brothel, surround it was a multitude of rather seedy taverns and bars that didn’t look like it cared how old you were, as long as you had the money to pay for your drinks or women. In the South east corner of the city there was a fairly sizable graveyard that sat in the muddy earth, tombstones were lopsided and crooked, most of the plant life that grew here was either moss or some sort of fungus or mold. The trees looked as though they had long sense died. The Eastern part of the town seemed to make up the majority of the housing district, though there were a few places that were used as squatting houses for those who couldn’t afford rent.
If the group were looking for some sort of police here, they would likely have a problem on their hands, the Police stations were easy enough to find, though they were largely vacant. Multiple posters of missing people and criminals crammed the bulletin boards. Rewards were offered and even bounties could be issued and collected here, but it was painfully obvious that the police force here were just not manned enough to keep up with things judging by the sure thickness of the papers that were covering the bulletin board. Groups of people were gambling in the alley ways of streets, while skeletal children played with stones and garbage in the streets. Everyone looked at everyone else with some level paranoia behind their eyes. People were not over all friendly with each other, in fact, these people hardly even spared a glance at each other as they walked by. Those that did interact with each other had an unpleasant look in their eyes, as though they were itching for a chance to knife the other. Well, the One tailed chakra monster seemed to have certainly found a rather interesting place to hide…
((Alright my friends, when you're ready to interact with this village for your mission, go right ahead, you are free to interact with anyone you choose, I will be roleplaying everything that is going on in this setting, so go and have fun, look around and discover. If your character is physically looking for clues, post your word count. Good Hunting!))

Inari Aramori As the town came into Sight inari couldn't help but whistle. It was HUGE! And it had a huge spire in the middle. "his place seems fun, I wanna get on top of that big thingy and look around!" he laughed. He couldn't wait until they got closer. As they grew closer however Inari seemed to lose his energy. He didn't like the look they were getting. Especially as the came to the sign. Thats when he became really uneasy. Finally they passed the gates and Inari's joyous expression was gone. He placed his hand on Uani's shoulder to get her attention. "I don't like this, stay close Uani-sama" he said quietly. It was obvious he was uneasy about the place they were in. Now that they were closer the spire was revealed to be a clock tower. "That seems like a good place to hide in my opinion. Or at the very least its a good vantage point. Maybe we should start there. Ask a few questions on the way." he said pointing to the clock tower.Still his eyes never stopped, they quickly darted about the alleys and streets. As Inari told her to stay close Uani followed his order. This place certainly didn't seem very hospitable. Why couldn't they ever go to some nice places? Like a nice hot spring or something where people were having fun and enjoying themselves... All these places full of gloomy people just seemed to sap your energy...
"Alright, I'll stay close... And I think the tower looks like a good place to look. We can search there and then get a view of the place from the top. I don't think asking questions will be too good...the people don't look too friendly..."
Uani stayed on her guard. She didn't know where danger would come from, but she just felt like danger would come from somewhere. She was gonna focus on doing better this mission. She couldn't cause a screw up here, if they were on the tail of something that caused so much destruction, then their lives were really in some serious danger.

Unai would feel the discomfort of eyes following her as she walked around the streets and towards the tower. It was an uncomfortable feeling… it would make her feel slimy and really unclean, as though she was in the presence of someone vile and black spirited. In the alley ways near the corners of the streets near the clock tower, there was a gathering of people who were squatted down near a makeshift table. Dice rattled in tin cups and a mixture of course cursing and laughter came from the group. The group themselves looked shady at best, and outright trouble no matter which way you looked at it. When the small group of genin passed by them, the noise died down and they turned their attention to the outsides, one of the men that was sitting at the head looked to be middle age, he had a long, beak like nose that hooked downwards. A patch covered his left eye and behind him and too his left, there was a girl who looked about ten or eleven, her long black hair covered most of her face, her face itself was pointed downwards and her hands were folded in front of her lap. The eye that was visible was downcast… it was apparent that his girl was browbeaten all of her life, why she hung around that old man was unknown. The old man himself was looking Unai up and down slowly before licking his lips, the rest of the people that were surrounding the table were pretty covered up with their clothes, though they seemed more interested in the group in general rather than just Uani. They didn’t move, though they certainly keep a wary eye on the new arrivals in town.
When the group got to the clock tower, they would find that the door was locked and boarded up tightly, likely because of the state of disrepair of the building itself.

Uani frowned as she followed Inari closely. The surroundings in this town just made her feel like she needed a bath just having been there too long. Whatever happened to clean towns with huge flower fields and happy smiling people walking the streets? She would have really enjoyed a place like that, this place was giving her the creeps. It just felt like someone was waiting in the shadows to drag her away... If this wasn't such an important mission she would say they should just go back home now...
As They continued walking, they saw some men in the alley that seemed to take notice of their group. Uani first saw the creepy old man that was looking at them...no...he was looking at...her? As the man looked her up and down, licking his lips as he did, Uani started to feel sick to her stomach.
"Inari...w-we should get to that clock tower...quickly... I really don't like it here..."
Uani then paused for a second when she saw the girl that was with the group of creepy men. Just seeing the look in the girl's eye...Uani already feared what could happen to herself in the presence of these guys, and she was a trained kunoichi. That girl seemed like she had been under the thumb of the old man for quite some time... She couldn't help looking back as she passed. She felt bad for the girl...it wasn't relevant to their mission, but...she couldn't help wanting to help her.
When they made it to the boarded up door of the clock tower, Uani turned her attention to the door. Certainly a door boarded up as it would would keep anyone from getting in, but she wasn't just anyone. There were still cracks in the wall that light could get through, and if light could go through it she could go through it. Only problem was, if she just shifted to the other side of the door...she'd have no idea what was over there and Inari and Makoto wouldn't be able to help her. She had learned her lesson about blind shifting by now...it never ever ended well.
"I can get through and try to find or make another way in for you guys...but if something snatches me up from inside...its game over for me... I say we just break the door down! But...you saw that girl before, right? With that creepy old guy that was looking at me way, way too hard? I'm scared just thinking about...well...we should help her, I think... I mean we have to! We can't let her stay in the creepy hands of some creepy old guy!"

Inari Aramori As they continued on through the town Inari was ong gaurd. He saw the man looking at Uani, his hand straying absently to his kunai pouch just to be safe. When he heard Uani studder he nearly stopped in his tracks. He had never seen Uani so stressed out. He also had never heard of something she didn't like. As they came to the the door to find it boarded up Inari looked it over. He hear Uani say she would rather not shift threw it and he nodded. "I think I can agree. With the... unique atmosphere of this city, I think I would rather you don't leave my sight let alone go someplace i can't easily reach." he said. As she mentioned the girl Inari shook his head. "I don't think we can help her right now. We aren't chasing a cat you know, this is a tailed beast we're after. We gotta conserve our strength." he explained. Walking over to the side of the clock tower he covered his hands in chakra. "I can handle our way in." he said. kneeling down he began digging into the dirt. It was moments before he had a hole big enough for them to pass through. "Okay got us an entrance!" he said with a grin. The inside of the broken clock tower was in ruin to say the least, a huge gear had smashed the majority of the stairs that would have lead up to the main mechanism of the gear works. The place smelled foul and judging by the bat guano and the amount of owl pellets that were littering the rotting planks that this place had been a haven for wildlife for years. High pitched screeches of bats started to echo in the tower as the digging stirred them from their slumber. There was a faint light coming from the top of the clock tower ceiling, most likely from the holes in the roof that age had stripped away, which allowed enough vision into this place that would show that this place was dangerous to be, sanitary issues aside the place was falling apart. Being ninja they could probably find a way to get up to the roof, though they would have to be very care of how they would get up… and how they would get down for that matter. A few rats scurried around the floor and seemed to head towards a corner to the Northeast.

Uani frowned as Inari said they couldn't help that girl right now. It was true that they were following a tailed beast and that was important, but it wasn't like they were going to fight the thing. They were just supposed to locate it or find out information on it, meaning more than likely if it was combat they'd be more than likely running away than standing and fighting.
"I don't think it would take too much energy to help her at all. And its not like we're here to fight the tailed beast or whatever... It won't interfere with our mission, I'm sure! Sooo...I'm going to go help her! Aaand... since its your job to support and protect your clan head, Inari, it looks like you're helping me!"
Uani gave a bit of a sly smirk, there certainly were benefits to being the head of the Aramori clan. Inari was easily the better shinobi of the two of them by Senju standards, more than likely he would be the one in charge. But by Aramori standards she would always be the one on top! Inari was obligated to go along with whatever she said...not that she would ever abuse her power (except for this time, but hey this was for a really good reason!) Uani turned, looking at the area they had just come from.
"So, I have a bit of a plan. I'm...pretty sure it'll work, and if we're lucky it might help us with our mission too! We are here to search for information, so we could talk to people. Now if that guy's as much of a creeper as I think he is... Well...I'm gonna go speak to him by myself, and you just need to stay hidden nearby."
Sure Uani would be putting herself in danger, but if there was one thing she was good at it was escape. If she was on her guard, which she definitely would be, there was no way they could even touch her. Uani started heading back the way they came, going back in the direction of that alley where they had first seen the men.It was going to be hard to ignore that creepy slimy feeling she got from these people, but she was sure she could do it!

Inari Aramori Inari stood there dumbfounded as uani pulled rank and ran off. There was nothing he could do to stop her. And she was right she was the head of his clan despite her small size. "Pretty sure it will work? Pretty sure? I don't like pretty sure..." he said as she ran off. Still it wasn't like he could catch her and hold her in place. He knew better then to even try. So with a heavy sigh he kept digging making his way under ground. Once underground he followed after Uani. If there was anything he was good at it was staying hidden. He was skilled in earth style after all. "Damnit I'm gonna have to be careful or people are gonna start thinking i'm a mole or something." he growled as he dug away at the soft dirt. Then a thought struck him. As he dug he remembered the rotting plants and the terrible state of the village. He was in a prime position to possibly figure out why. He wasn't a plant geek or anything but he could at least see if there was a drought or something in the soil. After all he had to wait for Uani to move before he could move. Inari would find the ‘earth’ that he was trying to move through very difficult, the earth was more or less a collection of cobblestones piled on top of each other and cemented with a thick mud. Using his tunneling like a mole technique was working… but it was really, really losing a lot of its effectiveness in this type of earth. Uani would be getting further and further ahead of him if he was determined to use this technique. To baffle his attempts even more there was a series of metal tubes that were going under the city –most likely it was for the sewage system, something that was common in cities this size- but there was something that wasn’t as normal, if Inari continued to push through the earth that he would find what appeared to be a shingled roof top that had toppled slightly onto its side. Inari would discover that a lot of his plans with looking after Uani underground wouldn’t work, at least not well. He wouldn’t be able to move as swiftly as he would need in order to save her doing this.
Uani wouldn’t have trouble finding that group with the old man and the young girl that they saw earlier, they were still playing their dice game with the same amount of enthusiasm as they were previous. When she came back though, the young girl was sitting on the creepy old man’s lap. In his right hand he was rolling dice in his beaten cup before slamming it on the table, his gang of shady ne’er-do-well’s were surrounding him, watching the game as it went on. His left hand was running through the girl’s hair. She seemed rather reserved with this action, her visible eye was still downcast and she looked just was numb to the world as she did previous. The gang wouldn’t take notice of Uani until she got within a stone’s throw away from them, and even then the old man was fairly absorbed in his game at the moment. A number of huge thugs would take notice however, and once they noticed her their hands would grace the inside of their heavy, thick cloaks, they’re eyes would lock onto her and they would make sure that she was in their sight at all times.

Inari Aramori Inari found the ground to be much thicker then expected... as in rocks everywhere. Not the easiest to dig through. Worse yet Uani was starting to outrun him. And of course she had no idea. As he hit a roof and piping he stopped and left the dirt shaking it loose from his hair and body. A big red bump on his for head from a pipe he had failed to out menuever. So instead he took off after her on foot moving to the rooftops. His hair was dirty and muddy from his attempts underground so it hopefully would make his hair harder to spot. So instead he kept himself close to the rooftops as he moved, kunai in hand. Catching up he plastered himself to the rooftops overlooking the game and Uani. He could see the thugs reach into their coats and immediately tensed ready for anything. I really don't like this Uani... he thought looking between the thugs. He had to stay across the street, which was too far for him to be comfortable, but still not to far to act. Just grab her and get out of there Uani... he thought. He could see into the alley luckily, so if something happened he would know. He just had to hope he wasn't spotted before then. As Uani made it back to where the creepy men were still playing with their dice, she tried to suppress the creeped-out feeling as much as she could. She knew if she wanted to be able to manipulate these guys, she would need to make herself look easily manipulated herself. The best thing about being as small and cute as she was was that it was easy to make others underestimate her... Also she felt that she could take some risks, not only was she one of the best at escaping dangerous situations, but she also had Inari shadowing her (she didn't know that he was being delayed...)
Uani made her way nervously up to their table. It wasn't hard to make herself seem a little uncomfortable in that situation, since she already was VERY uncomfortable. However she managed to make herself seem more naive than she was, the men wouldn't see that she noticed the eyes on her, she would seem completely oblivious to the danger she could be in.
"Umm... I'm sorry to bother you guys, but... I'm a little lost and I need a little bit of help. I got separated from the friend I was with..."
After just a few seconds, Uani already felt like kicking whoever decided to use her as bait in the face...it took a second more to remember that this was her plan... She deflected her own nervousness with a smile.
"We got separated up at that big boarded up tower! Actually, I was wondering about that. Why is that thing boarded up like that? Is it dangerous?"
Uani seemed like she was simply curious about that, but she was trying to see if they had any info about their mission before she started doing what she could to help the girl. The more like a naive kid she seemed the less they would suspect she was a skilled ninja with backup hidden close by.
