The mare sat under the shade of a tree that was probably as old as the gods of this world, the shade keeping the glare of the sun away from her eyes. It wasn't a hot day, in fact she found herself fighting off a shiver was she used to this climate or was this new? All she knew was that she was cold without the warmth of her beloved mate, they made one another complete and was the only thing she was certain of since opening her eyes in this strange and new world.
Liqui's memories where still mostly a haze. She had a grasp on some emotions that where connected to things she considered should be but where not. It was very confusing, she still had the deep feeling of hurt... something was missing and it was most frustrating that though tears threatened every time she couldn't recall why! The last encounter she'd had without her mate had left her just as unsure as ever, the other mare discovered they had been from the same place, the same world yet it hadn't cleared the fog in her mind. All in all it left her more confused, why did the other mare remember so much with their conversations yet she was doomed to suffer in this mysterious unknown?
It was bad enough she was at a nervous disposition as was with their entire situation, the uncertainty of everything including knowing herself just made it worse. These times, where Xnah would leave her made her the most nervous, at least she could cling onto their love for some semblance of sanity. Without her she was just left with these thoughts and it was driving her into a depression, was it so much to ask just to remember? Remember the life before here... why she felt this way... what was missing?

Morrigan could only truly remember her goal, to hunt down the b*****d that turned her into this! everything else since that was rather hazy, she had dreamed, which was unusual about her daughters, she had three, and some white form who looked like skin and bones? her instinct told her it was her son. Whatever it was it was distant and avoidable.
Though for some reason she could feel her daughters they had come into the world or were trying... that much she could tell. But she had yet to see them, actually lay eyes on them, she no longer could truly recall what they looked like.
It didn't matter, her main goal was all that mattered to her with Nefertari she would see it complete, her previous home would be wiped off the face of existence and that cancer purged from the world, if it was indeed this world where he resided. She flicked her little bone stump of a tail, how she wished to have hair again, it had been so traumatic when it had fallen out. Something she would make that b*****d feel tenfold.
Morrigan had wandered from Nefertari, to gather her own thoughts, until a gentle stirring caught her attention, now who was it that dare come near the undead queen? however when she approached the form seemed somewhat familiar... something... what was it? The question was enough to prevent her from killing her on the spot.
"You who Are you." the mare demanded with a wicked demeanor.

Though skittish she hadn't heard the approach of the other mare... if you could call her that. Lost in the dismal thoughts of usual of her trying to figure out who or what she was and where Xnah and herself had come from. It was as such when the voice aimed at her in such a demanding manner reached her ears she coiled into herself. A suppressed mental scream rang through her head as her entire form began to shake, oh Xnah where are you? Xnah was her protection her everything she'd know what to do, Liqui felt and overall was just pathetic on her own... though there was a lingering feeling to joy.. maybe it hadn't always been this way.
In her mind she it was pitch black darkness, what had this encounter triggered already, why was she so afraid? She knew it was more than her present situation she felt... like... like she was a let down, why on earth did she feel that way?
"I don't know!" The words managed to escape from her mouth, a shout of her own the frustration and confusion given her enough courage to speak for the moment.

"Not Good enough," Morrigan hissed, Crimson eyes pierced through the other mare's flesh those markings where had she seen them? Every time she tried to think the memory slipped away, the gap in her memory was annoying what's worse there was something she wanted to remember at that instance... but what in hells name was it?
Hells name? There was a name... ugh this lost memory was so annoying, but it wasn't the name she wanted to remember, it was the small form beside her. When did that get there?
Morrigan wanted to claw her, but she didn't have claws, for gods sake, or wings. She just had these stupid hooves she had to have them sharpened so they would cut and draw blood. it was such a pain. She glared at the mare darkly, maybe if you're hurt you'll remember she began to approach closer. Something about this whole ordeal was familiar... it wasn't just
"There was more of you... but not you.. you smell familiar, and you look.. I know you..."
This entire thing was annoying.

"I don't know..." She trailed off into a sob as she seemed to accept she was either going to be fine or die.. and there wasn't much she could do about it. Did she have fight in her once? Poking and prodding at her memory she got no answers as usual, not even a crack to give her a hint. Physically she even seemed to relax a little, considering how scared to death she was right now she did take note at that little oddity.
"All I know is I wasn't a horse!" She shouted out, her brain splintering and giving her a strange and unexpected adrenaline burst, maybe she wasn't quite as pathetic as she thought. "I was a lion... I think..." This time her tone was quieter, she and Xnah had guessed that, and the meeting with the winged mare had neigh on confirmed it. It explained their distaste for grass, and the glorious taste that blood filled their palette with, she still didn't quite understand how as a horse they were going to work that.

Slowly the image dawned on her little creatures beside her cubs little twisted children... "You had cubs four of them I remember you now pitiful, trapped with no way out." she beamed down on Liqui pleased with herself for the recollection "he beat the fight right out of you." she laughed, though she didn't remember who 'he' was she enjoyed watching him work she thought though which was unusual especially for her being so untrusting of males as she was.
Morrigan still couldn't remember herself or what she had been like other than what her instincts told her. The other thing that caused her distress that little brown blob what was it, if she was too a lion? then why didn't that little blob take shape as a lion? was it something else? At least she'd remembered something not that it helped her any.
"I wonder, If I hurt you would things relevant to myself come back to me?" she asked aloud with a wicked grin as her skeletal form approached closer.
"Now don't move pretty little mare."
----
Somewhere another star had fallen not a day before waking a chocolate brown mare from a deep slumber in the dream space. She'd had trouble walking from the start on her new legs much like a filly in an adult's body but as time had passed that day she'd grown accustomed to it again and had begun searching.
There was something she had to tell someone important, someone she'd never met or seen yet. She had planned to see her... and see her soon.
She couldn't quite recall, she was still rather hazy about the whole thing the impact had shaken her mind up. She remembered her parents and her siblings, she knew too she had a large extended family but she'd never gotten a chance to meet them all. Her halo glowed as she heard a shout the voice was familiar it sounded similar to her mothers. A Relative maybe? here? She was the only one here, they would have been together otherwise wouldn't they?
No matter some one needed her help, and she would help them no matter what. She made her way there as quickly as she could. and without thinking charged into the middle of the situation, that mare was going to get beatten by the other one!
What would her father say in a situation like this? "Hold Villain!" she yelled taking up a stance between the skeletal mare and the brown one a brown very similar to her own dark coat "Advance no further!" Ok that was a little cheesy, she was still very new to this whole thing of saving people at least she thought she was, she couldn't recall much from her time before.

C....Cubs....?
The words sent her head straight to spinning as the other mares gaze felt like lazors burning through her skin. Liqui was a horse now but before she was a lion... she had cubs? If so... why couldn't she remember them and why when she heard this did her heart feel pinned and her sense of disappointment increase tenfold. As the others words carried on she almost missed them... almost and she wished she had trapped... she felt trapped now... like she couldn't breath, had she died before? Maybe this was her death... her afterlife? Was she to be beaten... and if this other was right was it again? Had she been beaten before? Darkness enveloped her being and mind from every side as she felt she deserved it, she held no value in her life... how could she when she didn't know what her life even was?
The last words she heard was hurt... and then she appeared to give up, something felt familiar as she curled up and sobbed. There was no way she even could fight, mentally something prevented her from even trying, her thoughts... depression. It meant she was completely unaware of the other approaching.. seeing the scene and their intervention instead she just remained a pathetic ball of confusion and self loathing. Did she even want to remember... if she had four cubs... why couldn't she even recall their faces?

That sentence had hurt the mare, but it didn't help Morrigan remember anything of her own, causing her greater frustration. Adding to that frustration was this new mare! This brown thing that approached her calling her a villain, true though as it was, the way she had said it almost made Morrigan want to gag. Such Cheese.
The new mare forced herself in between Morrigan and Liqui, Morrigan growled "How dare you, you! Child! Out of my way!"
But it dawned on her how similar they looked, or at least one looked to one of the 'cubs' she had seen, tell tale demon horns on her head. "Oooh Isn't this interesting." She laughed one of those twisted forsaken children had had children of their own. how amusing and it had now come to save it's grandparent in a rather amusing twist. Morrigan backed off a little she hated another mare in her face.. and this was too entertaining to ruin immediately.
Morrigan would rather enjoy the other mare's pain, she'd curled up into a ball of self loathing.
Andastre recoiled a little being shouted at by the white skeletal mare, she got the feeling she was really dangerous, of course she'd get that feeling when she was standing right in front of Morrigan, did she get in over her head?
Probably, But she backed off still a little that was good right? "you enjoy other's pain I take it." Andastre spoke with disgust at the other mare only to receive a mocking grin back.
Andastre glanced back at liqui who was still silent but sobbing. With her gaze remaining on the white mare, Andastre knelt down beside her and softly comforted her. She felt like family but Andastre was certain she'd never seen the mare before, she couldn't help it. She felt some sort of Connection... And Andastre looked exactly like Tsuyoshi her mother, only with her father's eyes and halo.
Perhaps this was the first person for her to save?

Words just sounded like muffled sound Liqui had completely recoiled in on herself, accepting death that was surely soon to follow. It wasn't until she sense physical contact that she started to come away from her thoughts, she still felt impending doom but what was that smell? Familiar... Xnah? No... it wasn't Xnah where was her Xnah? Had this other mare found her first was Liqui just her second stop to finish the job of the pair alone in this new world? Or had Xnah finally realised what a waste of space and lost cause she was and... left.
Sucking up her tears she couldn't stop the tears falling but she bit her lip beginning no sound to escape, it hurt so much just to think Xnah was gone... but she couldn't think of any other reason why she wasn't here. Would her death even effect her mate? She was so sure they shared the same love she'd been there for her she realized but not what that something had been. Liqui was just a burden it would be easier for all if this confusing mare just finished her off, no one would miss her.
These thoughts spun and where completely believed by the female, it wasn't an unusual feeling, she knew this wasn't new to feel this way but not why.

Andastre gave the mare another nuzzle it seemed to work better than just soft words. Andastre continued comforting the mare gently speaking and telling her it would be alright. In between that however Andastre glowered at Morrigan. "Why don't you leave." she almost hissed at the skeletal mare. her attention returned to Liqui.
"I want to say I know you, but I'm certain I haven't." she whispered softly. "Have we met before? somewhere?" she hoped the mare would know a bit if even a little. But her soft words and face didn't stay long as she stood and faced the skeletal mare before her stubbornly.
"And miss this lovely display?" the mare laughed, but some recollection was finally coming to her. That child, was the daughter of the red demon? No that couldn't be right, she had a bright angelic halo. Perhaps the child of the child? Why could she remember more about this mare than she could herself?
It frustrated Morrigan to no end. What was the little critter she dragged with her? A child? That couldn't be no certainly it couldn't. Could it? she had no children here. She'd not had children when she was alive either... She puzzled for a time, still delighting in the twisted up face of the weak mare below.
But, the younger began to amuse her as her bitterness of being interrupted melted away. Morrigan wasn't an opponent to be taken lightly yet this child faced her fearlessly, not realizing what she was, that she couldn't die again. How funny, such courage should be rewarded only this time maybe. She mused as though she was plotting their demise.
Fear struck Andastre as the black mare began some sort of plot. She did her best to hide it. Andastre shouldn't have said that? But she had to pretend she was stronger for the mare she protected. "You're terrible you know that!" Andastre growled, feeling only pity for this wicked mare who couldn't seem to feel anything.
Morrigan laughed, she actually laughed for the first time in eons. It became a bit clearer her memory. A brown deer white pure white antlers shot past them. That deer felt familiar too, why would such a pathetic creature feel familiar? It wasn't the creature itself but what it represented she quickly realized. Then something else came to her as her attention refocused on Andastre. She remembered at least a part she began to remember her meeting of the red devil. "Devil's grandchild," she spoke addressing Andastre "Since you haven't realized yet cursed child that is your grandmother." she spoke coldly deciding it was time to return. This time her memories would come back certainly after this. at least a chunk of them.
"I am not cursed!" the mare shouted as Morrigan left Stomping her hoof. "You better leave." she whispered under her breath before looking at Liqui unsure as to what she should do now. What did she say? Grandmother? Mother had mentioned something about that but she wasn't sure what had happened her memory was still a bit fuzzy despite what morrigan had said.

The next nuzzle roused the mare from her thoughts just enough to consider the gesture, the physical contact made her want to wince but.. it didn't hurt. Liqui expected it to hurt, that was odd as she considered how Xnah's contact never phased her, was it because she didn't know these strangers? Did she really expect everyone she met to hurt her, she considered how sad that was and ponder what in her missing memory of the past could be so awful to cause such a reaction. Now she wasn't sinking in her own thoughts she caught the familiar scent again and curiously uncoiled enough to look at her comforter, she couldn't place her but then... she couldn't place much. Her eyes looked over her length till she came to the horns and then she felt frozen.
Something about those horns hit a cord she felt fear... disappointment in... herself? Like she'd let someone or someone's down. Those horns held such mixed feelings but now she was more alert and she could tell this horned female was.. protecting her. Why would she do that, did she know Liqui? She seemed to be just as confused as her unable to place who this other could be to her but she was being kind and brave... and in her chest Liqui could feel pride.
During the exchange Liqui poked and prodded her memory, begging it to give her a clue until the word grandmother was mentioned by the other. Everything spun as flashes of memory of four cubs.. yes they were cubs appeared, wings and horns... claws that racked at her flesh and such pain. All her breath rushed out of her at the intensity of the recollection, she had children.. but this one.. was this one of those tiny cubs? No, it couldn't be.. could it...
"I...I'm a grandmother?" Her voice was but a whisper, a pathetic wisp of sound. "I... I remember cubs, but now I'm a horse? How can this be.." And with that as if on cue to prove she wasn't completely a horse her stomach began to grumble, reminding her that normal equine food wasn't for-filling her hunger.
