It felt like there was a rock or something rolling around in the bottom of his bowl. Some weight in the bottom of the bowl that attempted to slowly tip it this way or that as he walked creating a unitentional game of balance. Bimini tried to ignore it at first, wondering if he wasn't just tired or crazy or something, but in the end he could not ignore it, stopping at the nearest bench to sit as he dipped his fingers into the bowl. His fingers dragged back and forth, digging through the clear liquid as if somehow something could be hiding beneath the shallow water unseen. But there was nothing there. Despite his valiant search the squire ended up with nothing more than soggy fingers and confusion. There was nothing in there... so why was his bowl being so... weird?

With a frown and furrowed brows Bimini dismissed his bowl, waiting a long moment before calling it forth once more from subspace, staring uncertainly at the bowl. It looked exactly the same as it always had. About the size of a large mixing bowl, metallic and decorated with the symbols of his princess Cosmos. A finger reached out and tapped the bowl cautiously, as if afraid the think would zap him or explode. Luckily it did neither, but when he went to lift the bowl once again the sensation returned just as it had before. Like something with was in the bowl! But nothing was in it.

With a growl of frusteration the usually jovial squire turned his bowl upside down, spilling all the water out of it with a swift motion, eyes scouring the ground for whatever had been hiding inside as it hit the ground. Only it didn't. Nor was there a clink or thud of some invisible source, just the soft splash of water against concrete.

A frown so large had never touched the face of Bimini, or his alter ego Corey, almost comical in nature as he stared in mystified frusteration. What the ********? Literally what the ******** ******** gone, his bowl was fairly useless for the rest of the night, and between that and the baffled frusteration Bimini decided he really didn't even want to bother with trying to patrol anymore tonight. Dismissing the bowl again he began the slow and annoyed trudge back towards his house.

Not far away a timid little knight was nearly cowering as she made her way through the alleys attempting to get to her own apartment. Her hourglass was smashed against her chest in a terrified cling, even despite the weird feeling resounding from it.

This knight business had always been scary for the timid Concordia but being out in the middle the night.. with this extra sense of anxiety from her weapon was enough to have the little page almost in tears. Just please let no one find her! Please no scary monsters or military combatants! Just let her get home and hide and maybe she'd just never ever come out again.

Well.. until Chronos asked her to go... or one of her teammates... But right now, all alone her fear outweighed her sense of duty.

Hidden as far as she could manage beneath her hood she'd not noticed the squire approaching, not until she smacked into him, releasing a horrified squeak of a yell, quickly jamming her hourglass out in defense.

"Ow. OWWW!" Bimini yelped unhappily.

The collision had been more jarring then painful, and his hands had immediately reached out in apology, until of course he found him getting smacked with something solid.

His eyes narrowed, trying to make out his attacker, clearly tiny and feminine even hidden behind that hood. And an.. hourglass? Probably not your average everyday citizen. His mind immediately flew to the worse, a pit in his stomach growing at being unlucky enough to run into the negaverse when he had no weapon. He finally clued into the aura as he searched for it. Not a negaverse at all, a knight.

He towered over her in size, but was hardly the intimidating type in his flowy and sparkling robes. "You alright?"

Hitting him had been a reflex, but as soon as it was done, and she found herself unadvertantly kind of.. trapped Concordia began to shrink and cower once more, babbling in her soft whisper-like voice. "I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. Are you hurt? I... I didn't mean to.. I'm sorry.."

"It's alright. I'm pretty tough." He joked after a moment, offering a lame sort of smile. Even if she'd just hit him.. Bimini was a people person. He loved talking and being around people, and the crappiness of the night so far seemed to fade away as he distracted himself with conversation.

"You're a knight right? Not a Cosmos one like me though. That much I can tell."

"You patrolling around here?"

Concordia was almost the opposite side of the coin to Bimini. People and talking had never been her forte. She wasn't interested and truthfully the whole thing terrified her. Crowds were terrifying. Strangers alone in the middle of the night were terrifying. Really his obvious aura as a knight was the only thing that had kept her from just screaming and screaming in hopes of someone coming to her aid.

Other knights had to be nice right? And she had to be brave, she had to be for Princess Chronos.

The mousey girl was even more pale then usual as her eyes finally turned upwards, looking at Bimini through glasses. The glance only lasted for the briefest of moments before her eyes fell back to her hands and hourglass.

"N.. no. Not Cosmos.. N.. not patrolling." She was finally able to get the words to escape her dry mouth.

"I'm a.. Chronos knight. And I'm trying to.. trying to go home."

She'd kept her tears at bay until now but in the end it was no use, the flood gates opening. "My hourglass. It's.. I think I broke it." Sobbing quietly the hourglass shook in hands.

Crying...? Why was she crying!?

He'd never been the valiant type, not really at least. Nor did he usually have much experience dealing with emotional woman. But what could he do?

"D.. don't cry!" He tried to reassure her, his hands resting her arms lightly. The hourglass didn't look broke to him.. maybe.. maybe she was just mistaken.

"It looks okay to me. And if not we can probably fix it or something. Definately probably." He nodded optimistically.

There was a mild shiver that struck her as he touched her, but she didn't pull away, still pretty consumed in her sobbing. Truth be told, his height and body acting as a shield from the dark world around her was pretty nice.

"No pieces are broke really... its just.. somethings wrong with it."

"Oh... OH!" His grip tightened a little unconciously. "Mine too actually! There is something wrong with my bowl. It's not just you."

Fingers loosening he glanced around them quickly, before turning back to her. "How about I walk you home? I don't think we're going to figure this stuff out tonight, so it's probably better to be home and safe."

"I'm sure everything will work out and we'll figure it out eventually." Not when they were already tired, frusterated, or upset. Puzzle games were always easier when you had a clear mind.

His weapon too? Something about the idea was very comforting. That it maybe wasn't something she'd done wrong herself. Maybe it wasn't her fault after all?

His question was answered finally with a silent nod, a hand lifting to point in the direction of her apartment. As long as he didn't take her all the way home it would probably be okay. It was safer out on the streets with someone else. And as long as he didn't figure out exactly where she lived well.. that'd quall fears of stalkers and strange men.

The trip was fairly short and she was mostly quiet as he babbled happily on, only speaking when he specifically asked something of her. She was thankful for it though, happy to have some distraction. At the end of her block she said her goodbyes before parting ways. Maybe he was right after all and they'd figure it out. Maybe Chronos or Celsus would know the answer.
