Personality:
Makasu’s personality can be described as polite, zealous, and sometimes even aloof. He is usually seen smiling. He does not openly look down on anyone, nor chastises them, yet is prepared to kill should his life be threaten. Another characteristic is his guitar, which he is never seen without and seems to play at random moments and surprisingly well. He has demonstrated that he has developed a sadistic side, taking pride in ripping apart a hollow while slowly torturing an already defeated arrancar with his shikai and listening to the 'rhythm' of their screams of pain. But recently has has been distance and unpredictable toward squad members.

Background:
Much of Makasu's past is a blur as he lost a lot of his memories after the crash and subsequent coma. Being in the coma for three years left his mother with one final and drastic option. Using the forbidden choice of a power transfer she on the eve of the 4th anniversary of that day she pierced his chest with her zanpakutō known as Shuriken horuda. In a flash of spiritual energy the room was bathed in a green light and he finally awoke in his newly acquired shinigami form, while his mother stood in a white Shihakusho as she had lost the bulk of her spiritual powers.
As he awoke from his sleep he was afraid as he had forgotten who he was and who his own mother was. As his mother saw that he had forgotten her she was just as afraid but as his mother hugged him and showed him she wasn't a threat. Several months had passed and bits and pieces of his memories had returned while he was trained by his mother in a secret underground bunker beneath their house. During this time he learned how to control his immense spiritual power, call forth his zanpakutō and other shinigami basics. It was at the academy he realized that the powers of a shinigami were here to protect those one loved.

Clan
The Naga clan is the brother clan to the Misawa clan. They both rivals at speed and balance, the Naga clan consist of mostly male warriors when the Misawa clan consists of female warriors as seen with the queen being female. The Naga clan focuses at gaining and mastering high levels of stamina, balance, and strength in hoho. This fits only those with the complete focus of meditations, and practices created similar to this clan can master a whole new level in speed. Some legends are that this clan and with the Misawa can reach the highs of lightning speeds but would die shortly after. But the fact of reaching such potential gives a form of understanding how serious there clan puts into the art, and that those in the royal family or the elites, Hoho is simply a second nature over the most skilled fighters in either dimension. The clan holds hundreds of thousands of members but only allows outside members that are worthy. No different from the Misawa.

In shikai, his sword doesn’t change its appearance and shape, instead its cutting power is increased 3x as well as physical enhancements. Shoyu buredo means Possessive blade, the name itself is quite obvious of his abilities but he never needed to use bankai.
Shishi no seigyo [limb control]- Once his blade strikes a limb, that limb is marked with a simple resembling a plus sign. The limb possession belongs to Riyo (his zanpaukto), that body part can be used in any type of way the user wants and in shikai it can only posses body parts. The number of use is unlimited. This is a close range technique.
