Tonight was a night to relax after a hell of a valentine's day. It was the day after and she was out, powered up, and wandering the city. She knew she should have someone with her, especially being bottom of the totem pole, but Delphi simply didn't want to be out with anyone tonight and she didn't know a lot of people or how to communicate with them - aside from cell phone (and she lacked numbers for these people).

Even if she had a phone number for one of these people she met it was unlikely she'd call. Tonight she wanted to be alone, more than most evenings, so she could relax and enjoy things. Even if she was walking down back alley's, due to the time it was, in order to not be seen by civilians. With the news reports and such she feared the cops and civilians and some sort of witch hunt if she were seen. Perhaps this was why so many traveled by roof top - avoid people chasing after them and trying to attack them. It would make sense really.

As a strong wind blew, chilling her, she pulled her hood up and drew her coat tight about herself. She really wished winter would end - and soon.

General Painite was finding it increasingly impossible to satiate herself. She was never satisfied with the number of attacks she had been leading, the number of starseeds she had been collecting, the amount of blood she had seen spilled.

She always needed more.

At least that was easily done. She just had to strike out at any Order aura she sensed nearby, anytime she powered up. If she bothered to power down at all, that was. She had gone off the radar, as far as her civilian life went. And that was fine for her, she was willing to ignore that and more on with her duties in the Negaverse.

Her duties. Not theirs, either, or at least not yet. She'd make them see things her way eventually.

She felt an aura that she wanted and moved toward it, holding her spear and bouncing toward it. She didn't bother hiding her power signature by powering down for the pursuit. Let them know they were being stalked.

That dark feeling, the one which knotted her stomach, shot through her. It was similar to the odd feeling she'd gotten the last few times she'd powered up, but not quite the same, and she shuddered. This wasn't good - not good at all. Picking up pace she hurried from the back alley's and hoped to get into a populated area in the hope no one would attack her in public. If only she knew the agent of chaos that was after her, she wouldn't be so hopeful of that.

As Delphi burst out onto the sidewalk she looked around before heading closer to a more populated area. For a moment she considered calling out but thought better of it. The small toy she held in her hand was held in a white knuckle grip, not that one could tell due to her gloves, as she nearly twisted hr ankle as she ran. For as long as she'd been in heels, and able to run in them, you still ricked a hell sliding out from under you, twisting an ankle, or landing wrong on the heel. And she just hoped that the twisting was the only issue she had as she tried to put distance between herself and that dark feeling.

Painite felt the energy moving away from her. It was fun to think that once upon a time she couldn't even understand which were good auras and which were bad. She had to learn how to tell them apart, then how to distinguish their ranks, then try to fathom the distance between her and it. Now she could do all of that without thought, and could even feel them moving.

Time and experience, she supposed.

Painite teleported to where she anticipated the aura was running, appearing in the air just above the sidewalk. She dropped down immediately, because gravity, and landed rather light since the distance had been so small. She felt it made her look graceful, as well as intimidating, since she did just appear out of no where.

Best power ever, that one. She adored being able to teleport where ever she wanted. Traveling was effortless now, and she hardly remembered how to walk anywhere.

"Where are you off to in such a hurry? One might get the impression that you were running away from me, but that would be rude and you're not rude, are you?"

Coming to a rapid stop, surprised by the appearance of a person in front of her, Delphi felt herself go stiff as a sick feeling over took her. This wasn't good. This one felt like the blond male she'd had that fateful run in with. And she felt no one near by to save her - this really wasn't good. This was really bad. At least she could dodge attacks? She just couldn't fight back.

"I was in a hurry and it was to get away from you - not to be rude of course. But I also was not looking to meet you." She spoke, blunt and honest. Why hide it? The other knew why she'd been running, neither of them was stupid, and why lie? There really was no point in it.

"I don't trust you, or anyone involved in this war. So excuse me for wanting to put distance between us." And it was true - she didn't trust anyone involved in this war. She didn't trust anyone fully; not even her own family. It was simply who she was. And this was a stranger and one with power. No, trust in this person was not possible. Nor was it really possible for anyone else involved in this war. She didn't know them, others, that well let alone well enough to place trust in them - at least not much. She could trust them to want her to remain alive but beyond that she wasn't sure.

Painite watched the little knight, thinking that she was pretty cute. It was a shame to attack little Pages, just starting their journey, but it was also their fault for being on the wrong team. If they were Negas, and she had the power to change them, then it would be a different story. But she could not corrupt them and did not want to let them escape.

So.

She only had one choice. To kill them. All of them. It was made easier by the fact that she absolutely hated Knights.

"Oh, I guess that makes sense. I wouldn't trust me, either, if i were you. Of course, if I were you, I'd know that I was about to face something truly horrifying, and would have been running a lot faster. But there's no changing it now." She smiled cruelly and called her weapon to her hand, switching it from one to the other leisurely. The purple runes on the spear glowed in anticipation.

"I'll be nice, and let you run again, if you want. Let's see how far you get."

This one wanted to play a game of cat and mouse, that much was blindingly obvious. Well, that wasn't something Delphi was going to do. She wasn't going to give this one the satisfaction of that, or the pleasure the chase would surely provide this spear wielding woman.

Wait...spear? She'd been warned about a spear wielding person. She knew she'd run into Benitoite, whom she'd been warned too late about, but was this the other one? "Painite...?" She asked, hoping to be right and yet hoping not to be facing another one with a reputation. She really thought she'd be happier, and safer, if she were wrong but she didn't think she was.

She could still run her mind supplied but the idea was quashed. No - she wouldn't be giving this person that pleasure. Especially when she knew she would fail, she'd seen how she would fail already. So she would stand her ground and see what happened, hope for the best.

(I can bring camelot in whenever you want, if you want her to escape without getting hurt or anything!)

Painite grinned brightly.

"You know my name! That's good. That means you must know what's about to happen to you." She grinned wickedly, glancing at her spear as if it was going to agree. It was no longer the plush horse head on a stick, though. It hadn't been for ages. But it would always have Mr. Saddles' soul, and it was still an extension of herself.

She watched the knight and saw a spark of defiant bravery in her.

"How cute. You think you can fight me? Or maybe you're hoping i'm going to let you go. That won't happen, my dear. I don't know how long you've been in this fight, but I'm going to take you out of it now!" Villainous banter was probably her favorite thing in the world, and she could never deny herself a chance at some. Or a lot.

"I was warned about you, from an senshi. You and Benitoite - who I've also met once." She spoke. No need to hide these little things. They weren't secrets or anything important really - just simple facts. "I have ideas on what will happen, it's why I'm not running. It seems pointless and I'm not going to make this into a chase for you to enjoy." No, she might die but she wouldn't give more pleasure to this person than she must.

"No, I don't. But I do think I can remove some of the pleasure from this that you want. I won't run, I won't beg, I won't do such childish - and obviously pointless - things." It was a cut my nose despite me sort of thing. A last act of defiance, at least that was how she was seeing things right now.

She can take an injury or two but yeah, you can post him coming in. I'd like her to take an injury or two at least. Make her really feel who the bad guys are in this.

General Painite could always admire a little gusto, though too much and it just made her want to stab them harder. Actually, there was no scenario where she didn't want to stab a White Moon brat, but still. She could at least give them a little nod of credit before that.

"I don't care who else you've met," she said, with a shrug, "you won't meet any more. And don't you worry about me enjoying myself. Regardless of what you do, I'm sure I'll have some fun."

She laughed and gripped her spear. Her smile faded, though, and she charged at the young fighter, swinging her spear like a sword, slashing with the pointy end in an effort to take her down quickly.

But not kill her, oh no. Just cut her deep enough to make her bleed, to cause her pain, to make her desperate.

Watching, with slowly widening eyes, as the spear came down at her. As she went to back up her heel caught and sent her backward. Landing on her a** she cried out as she was unlucky enough to wind up sliced across the side with that blade. The fabric of her coat split open as did what was worn under it. Blood welled, quickly, staining the shirt and the coat red. It was a slow spreading stain but the fabric seemed to soak up the red fluid as quick as it came and spread it out for all to see.

Pressing a hand to her side she used her other hand to push herself up and onto her feet. Quickly, as quickly as she could, she got to her feet and took a trembling step backward.

There was nothing better in the entire world than slicing someone with her spear. She loved the sensation and even the soft sounds it made, and the red stains on fabric were her particular favorite. Did that make her as psychotic as she used to pretend to be? As people say she was? She was sure it did, but she was also sure she did not care.

Not in the slightest.

"Awww, someone's got a boo boo," Painite said. There would be no kissing it and making it better, however. She could, however, stop the pain. That was a very easy thing for her to do.

After making it a little bit worse.

"Oh, don't be scared, little one. It'll all be over soon."

Nearby, an order aura of some strength, at least rivaling Painite's, popped up. Painite had been sensing auras long enough to feel it heading toward them, but she ignored it for now: she could finish this knight off regardless of who or what was trying to interrupt them.

Her hand felt wet and she knew what it was, how could she not? It was obvious she was bleeding, the pain from the slice radiating up her side. This didn't look good for her; not at all. Was this was everyone who felt like this, this dark, like? Were they all after her and others? She hadn't once been attacked by someone on...her side, was it really her side? They had protected and helped her, answered questions, and more.

"Are we three? Using the term boo boo?" She couldn't help it, the words slipped past her lips without her thinking. Perhaps it would anger the woman further, who knows what would anger this person. But did it matter?

For a single moment, as those words left the others lips, she wondered what would happen after she died? What would her parents do and her other family members? The funeral, where would it be, how many would turn up, the flowers...All these thoughts and questions ran through her head at such speed it left her drowning in thoughts, so much so that she didn't feel that new signature pop up. As cold as she could be she didn't want to put her family through this - they didn't deserve it. But she had no escape from this either.

Painite grinned at her come back, nodding her head. At least the knight had guts. Guts that would soon be spilled all over the floor soon enough but they were bold nonetheless and Painite appreciated a little get up and go.

She moved back a bit, letting the girl struggle and fret, before she charged. Her attack was cut off as her spear crashed against a metal surface, glancing off and down, away from the knight. Both knights, actually. Camelot had managed to get over to the area and, once he saw that someone was in trouble, had leaped into the fray.

He was a little late, seeing that she was bleeding already, but he had managed to keep the Negaverse General from killing the Page straight out. They fought, Camelot nearly getting his face stabbed and the spear cutting a gash in his neck, but the Knight of Earth managed to chase the furious Negaverse soldier away. Painite cursed and promised she would be back.

For both of them.

"You can't protect each other all the time, and when you're alone, I'll get you. Either one of you. You'll never see me coming until it's too late." She teleported away and Camelot breathed a heavy sigh of relief, looking at Delphi.

"Are you alright?"

At least she had guts. Yes, she had those but she also knew she was going to die tonight. This was, as she felt, her only way of fighting this one. A fight of words, insulting and picking apart words, she at least could stand a chance in that manner. She knew physically she was doomed, as well as power wise. And it seemed the Negaverse agent didn't mind, or at least it didn't anger her, and that had to count for something right? Even if it was small.

Preparing herself, more mentally than physically (how could you prepare yourself properly in a physical sense) for her death, she watched the short haired woman charge her. Spear ready, and she was sure it was wicked sharp, and than...it hit something else. Staring for a moment, not quite understanding the change in situation, she spotted..a shield and a knight who carried it. She was saved? Someone else from her side from the feel of it. Without really feeling it, still in shock from the sudden save, she was smiling at the older man.

"As well as I can be; considering I was preparing for death." She answered honestly. A woosh of air escaping her as she let out a deep breath, relief flooding her. She didn't dare think on the Generals parting words, at least not now, she was alive and for now that was what she would focus on - and the one who had saved her. The wound forgotten for the moment, even as it stained her thick, and fluffy, uniform.

"Your hurt as well." Observing the others injury, while her mind seemed to shut down on her own. Her thoughts on the older man and on the fact she was still alive! Oh god...she'd almost died just now. She'd actually been thinking about her funeral, something she had never before done. The rush of adrenaline, and emotions, that filled her kept her mind off most things right now and narrowed her scope on everything. "I was warned...about her..." Between words she took in deep breaths of air, much needed to calm her mind and her heart. "Her and that other with the spear like weapon. I didn't think this...this fate would be so cruel as to have me meet both." Neither were the sort she wanted to meet again, and she hoped she never would, especially alone.
