The frost fell lightly this day yet the world remained white as always. Ismire tried to recall the days of sun and colors. It was on rare occasions did she ever leave her mountainous home. Her eyes flickered for a moment to the construction of her home, an icy castle nestled in the highest peak, a place where she could watch over her homelands and the travelers who pass by. Arceus forbid they become trapped in a blizzard or lost in the pass. She hoped to prevent any injury this way.

Humming a happy tune to the twinkling music of the snow, Ismire left her home and took to the sky. She hovered below the clouds, scanning the land below. Wonder what adventures this day will bring? If she had more than a beak, Ismire would've grinned as she rolled through the air. Her song climbed higher in volume with each beat of her white wings. The young Articuno was in a chipper mood as always. Spinning, ducking, rolling, and weaving through the clouds as she lost herself to the song of nature.

It came to an end when she reached the edge of her domain. As quickly as she fell into the beat of the song, she fell out and quickly retreated back into the safety of the frost and snow. Though distancing herself, she watched the world beyond with interest, curious yet afraid to see more of it.

Coming up the mountain path was a group of four people, one being an obvious full human in a wheelchair. Pushing the wheelchair was an adult with what looked like an Arceus tail and a the face plate of an Arceus as well. Beside him was a blue haired girl with part of her face looking like that of a Lunatone and you could see parts of Suicune as well. The last of the group was a boy with Sentret features, who was bouncing around in the snow happily.

"Dea, this will be good for you, I promise. You have been uncharacteristically sad for the past few days. You know it breaks our heart to see you like that,"the man spoke softly behind her, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"I know, Eilam, it is just that this healing is taking forever. I thought I would be able to walk normally again by now, but still nothing,"Dea said softly, rubbing her gloved hands over her stomach.

"We know, Dea, but things like this take time, you know that better than anyone. We are sorry this is so rough for you,"the girl with blue hair named Lucinda added gently.

"Maybe Dea would like something pretty. What can be found in the snow like this? Maybe pretty snow? No, that would melt. There has to be something,"the Sentret boy spoke, his ears drooping seeing how sad his trainer was.

"Don't worry, Fluff, I have a special gift in mind,"Eilam grinned.

There was a disturbance in the air. The notes on the wind sounded wrong. Ismire had slipped into her own world once more as she fell into a musical daze. Shaking her head, she gazed back down the pass and found a family making their way up the mountain. An odd family of humans though and at least three of them were transformed Pokemon. She was unsure what to do. They were not in immediate danger perhaps she should continue watching from a distance. Though musically inclined, Ismire was a timid creature not known to so forward.

She listened carefully to their conversation, taking note that one of them was injured. The device Dea was in was something Ismire has never seen before. The Articuno tilted her head as she drew closer to have a better look at it. It had big wheels that turned. It reminded her of Cryognals. What strange devices. She paused at the mention of pretty snow and how the Sentret seemed so sad about not finding something nice for the human lady. Perhaps there was something she could do and that would require for her to be a little less on the timid side.

Fluttering back into the air, she descendant in front of the family. Taking the time to bow deeply, dipping her neck low before rising, Ismire begun by introducing herself. “I am Ismire and forgive, but I was listening in to your conversation.” Turning to face the Sentret boy, she smiled kindly. “I know of a place with never melt ice. If you like? I would be happy to help you all.” Her gaze slipped back to the woman in the wheelchair. Ismire did not like seeing someone looking so down and wished to help. As soon as the Articuno fell silent, she immediately begun humming. It was an odd trait of hers.

When the Articuno came to rest in front of the group, Dea and her team did not seem to be too surprised. When you have an Arceus for a Pokemon, anything was possible. They listened to the bird Pokemon speak and then Dea smiled hearing the song that Ismire was humming.

"Your humming is quite lovely, Ismire, I enjoy it. The song sounds so familiar from me, I think it is one my mother would sing to me when I was little,"Dea admitted. She watched Eilam step forward and smile at Ismire.

"Hello Ismire, it is very nice to see you again. It has been way too long since I have come up here, I am afraid. In fact, you have not seen me since I was a full Pokemon,"Eilam spoke.

"Wait, you know Ismire, Eilam? Oh yeah, I suppose you know many of the Pokemon, huh?"Lucy spoke, feeling a little bad for not thinking about how Eilam probably knew a lot of legendary Pokemon. She saw Eilam nod his head out of the corner of her eyes and smiled softly.

"There is actual ice that doesn't melt? Where can we find it? I would love to get some for Dea. She has been sad lately. I want to be able to make her happy,"Fluff piped up, looking at the icy bird.

She chuckled softly, voice sounding rather melodic as Dea mentioned the song she hummed. “It is an old tune and yet, a fine tune. Your mother has good taste in music and if it pleases you so, I shall continue to hum through our journey.”

Her gaze swung back to the older man who stepped forward, one whose voice seemed so familiar before and now that he introduced himself, Ismire wondered why hadn't realized sooner. “E-Eilam? It has indeed been a long while! It seems you found a star as well.” Bowing her head again to show respect to the Arceus, Ismire quickly righted herself after. “I am pleased to have you visit my mountain home once more.”

Shifting to the young girl, Ismire fluttered her wings softly letting loose a small flurry of snow as if to grow comfortable in her spot. “He was and is a rather strong Pokemon and one well respected. Also one hard to miss!” Ismire chuckled, covering her beak with the tip of her white wings. “It has been sometime since we have seen each other.”

“A cavern near the heart of the mountain is where you would want to go for snow like that. Perhaps there we can find something lovely for the lady of the house?” she replied to Fluffers before continuing the tune she was humming. She paused for a moment and returned her gaze to Eilam. “Was there somewhere you were planning on taking, Lady Dea?”

Eilam waved to Lucy to take over control of pushing Dea's wheelchair and the young girl nodded as she walked behind the wheelchair and began to push it. Fluff looked extremely excited when the Articuno told him where they would be able to find this special snow.

"Oh, good, I hope we find something there for Dea. I want it to be very special for her. She has done so much for me and the others. She deserves something to make her smile more, like before. I am glad we came up here then,"Fluff replied joyfully.

"Do not worry, Fluff, I am sure Dea will be able to smile a lot more regularly again. She just needs to remember she is not alone and we are all in this together. Though, I am glad you are so eager to get her something special, it is very nice of you,"Lucy smiled as she pushed the chair after the others.

Eilam turned to Ismire when she asked her question, before nodding his head softly.

"I brought her to see you, Ismire. Do you remember when I last saw you and you asked me what was bothering me? Well, I told you I did not know my purpose anymore and you told me I would find it, to follow my heart. It led me to a small baby many years ago and that baby grew up to be a wonderful woman. I am honored to call her my friend and trainer, but she is down right now. She needs to be happy again and I knew if anyone could do it, it was you,"Eilam replied.

“A gift is a good way to show one that you care, Fluff.” murmured Ismire as she tilted her head to peer at the sentret boy. Such a lovely family. She was happy that Eilam found happiness. “I see, Eilam. I am quite happy to see that my words were of help to you. Happy to see you once again seeming so fulfilled in life.” Her mind wondered back to the song she hums without thought. If she had lips, they would be smirking now. “Could it be that you taught her mother my song by any chance?”

It had occurred to her that she hadn't asked what was wrong with Dea. How rude of, her? Ismire paused in her steps for a moment to turn to the young woman. “Tell me what is wrong? It is a long way to the cavern, enough time will pass for you to speak your mind... that is if you do not mind me prying.” Her features soften slightly, noting that she was with child on top of being injured. “I hope the journey will not be too much for you, Dea. Will you be alright?”

"Dea was kind enough to adopt me. She also has made me feel like family. I got to meet her parents the other day too. She deserves something very special. Just like she would give to us,"Fluff explained.

"She has done a lot for all of us, that is true. Without her, Eilam would have not been as confident in his new form. I wouldn't have found a family to call my own, where I have all the books I would want to read. Fluff would not have known where to go when his previous trainer had to move away,"Lucy agreed with Fluff.

"Actually, I just reinforced it, Ismire, her mother already knew it. From what she told me, Mrs. Willows has actually been up here to see you,"Eilam spoke.

"I have a rare illness that sometimes attacks my nerves and makes it where I cannot walk. I was using crutches for a few days, but it was really tiring me out. So I have just been sad that I can't do as much and help others. There are many Poke kids around and I want to help those I can. And yes, I shall be fine,"Dea assured.

Ismire was quiet long enough to listen to the younger one's stories and by the end, there was a shimmer in her eyes. Oh, today was a happy day indeed, she thought to herself. Flicking lightly the bell around her neck, she slowly formed her next sentences. “Today is a special day then and I will see to it that everyone will walk away with a smile on their cheeks and a twinkle in their eyes.” she replied, keeping her slow and steady pace up the mountain.

“Oh, that was her mother?” murmured Ismire, sounding surprise as she swung her attention back to Eilam for a moment, recalling the woman he had mentioned. “I remember her well. She was quite the woman and I see a bit of her in Dea. My song came to good use then.” She'd taken up humming the tune again as she lead them through the winding pass, detouring off the road at some point towards the cavern she'd talked about.

Quietly, she listened to Dea. Taking note of the little things she said before finally speaking. “To help others, you must help yourself. You should be taking it easy, Dea and let your family take care of you that is what they are there for. Besides, you shouldn't be sad. You have a loving family that wishes to make you happy, a child coming on, and you are making a new friend. I am concerned by your illness though...I hope for a speedy recovery.”she spoke kindly. It was the best advice she could give in the situation. The only advice that could come to mind. Humming, Ismire shimmied her shoulders, releasing a flurry of snow from her body that were collecting from her icy feathers. Her feathers were feeling a little heavy from the build up, making her uncomfortable.“Good, we will be doing a little trail blazing today. The trail should be safe for you though.”

"Good, I want everyone to be happy today. No one should be sad, too much to see. Dea was the one who turned my frown upside down. She made sure I knew I was loved. I want to make her frown go away too,"Fluff spoke.

"Fluff, I think your enthusiasm today will become infectious. I love how happy you are and you are very right, Dea helped make you happy. The least we could do is return her own smile to her, hmmm?"Lucy smiled.

"Yes, that woman was indeed Serenity Willows, the mother to my trainer. Yes, she is quite a woman and her daughter is no different. You would be surprised how many lives Dea has changed, Ismire. She is quite a gift to anyone who knows her, Ismire. I never thought I would want a trainer, but I cannot imagine my life without her. And as you can see, neither can her other Pokemon,"Eilam beamed.

"I suppose you are right, maybe I should just let my family take care of me. And thank you, guys, you don't know how much your words mean to me,"Dea admitted. She gently caressed her stomach, thinking she needed to keep her bright personality, for her child and all those who loved her.

“Such a lovely family. You have really made a difference in everyone of their lives, Dea. Do not worry, Fluff. You are all in good hands today.” She chuckled light before turning a bit to gaze at the lovely hybrid girl. “And that is exactly what we shall be doing today.” This family's joy was contagious. Her tune turned a little more upbeat than it's usual slow and somber way.

“Oh? Well, she is quite the busy body then.” teased Ismire as she pushed on through the trail, winding higher into the mountain. The cavern was close. Her attention swung back to Dea. Ismire reminded herself that she wasn't a mother nor was this young lady before her a hatchling, but she couldn't help somewhat scolding Dea. “A little pampering and spoiling every once in a while will be a good cure to whatever ails your heart. Its all part of the circle of helping others. I am truly glad that Eilam brought you here. It makes me happy to have such visitors.”

"See, Dea, this was actually a good idea for both you and Ismire. You get to get some fresh air and some valuable advice and Ismire gets the company she enjoys having. Listen to her advice, old friend, it is very good and was what brought me to you,"Eilam reminded.

"Alright, I get it, Dea needs to stop being stubborn and let others take care of me for a change. I will see what I can do, but don't expect any miracles,"Dea laughed lightly.

"I think we just heard one, Dea, you just laughed. You haven't done that in a couple of days, not a true one like that. I am glad to hear that sound, I have missed your laughter,"Lucinda smiled, patting the woman's arm gently. Dea looked behind her and smiled softly at her friend/Pokemon.

"Yay, Dea seems to be feeling better. Thank you, Ismire, you helped her. Maybe we should see you more often. Oh and what is it like living in a cold place? Can you go into the sun at all?"Fluff asked, so many questions in his head.

The cold wind sung softly to her, adding a melody to the already happy note that was left in the air by the family. Ismire felt joy for them and in a way, herself. It was strange to think that a small advice would lead to such wonders. Eilam wouldn't have found a wonder of a woman who in turned touched so many lives. It was a touching moment that she didn't quite want to interrupt. The small wonders in life were always enough for Ismire. This family was one of them. A small moment filled her with enough joy to last a lifetime and for one such as her, that is saying a lot.

“Miracles come in small bundles.” murmured Ismire. She noted the frost that had collected on her feathers like dew and shook off her wings lightly. The reddish hued eyes of her seem to gleam with overwhelming joy. It could not be helped. What a contagiously happy family indeed...

Her gaze swung over to Fluff and she just beamed. “I am happy to have helped you. It's always a pleasure to brighten one's day.” chuckling softly, she begun to answer his many questions. “So much questions, young one. I shall answer them as well as I can. To live in a cold place, I hardly notice it's cold. Perhaps it's because I am cold as well.” She lifted it up a wing and fluttered it in the air for a moment, releasing a flurry of snow from it. “For a short time, yes, but the sun is uncomfortable. It makes me feel sluggish and the music there is...lacking. I enjoy the snow here. It sings to me the most lovely tune.”

She turned towards the entrance of a cavern that she'd pause near. It wasn't utterly dark within. A faint glow could be seen from the mouth of the cave. Ducking in, Ismire motioned for them to follow. “Nearly there.” Her gaze turned to focus on the path ahead. It was wide, enough for the group to fit within. It was warmer here as the light grew brighter. “Ice that never melts...” The path widen as the entered the main hub of the cavern. “that is what this is.”

What Ismire gestured to was a large room covered in stalactites and stalagmites made entirely of ice. Light filtered in from a hole above, glinting off the surfaces of the ice. Blues, greens, and purples colored ice filled the area. It was large and spacious within, giving room for exploration. Her eyes flickered back to the family as she bowed her head. “Do you wish to take one home?”

"See, Dea, this was actually a good idea for both you and Ismire. You get to get some fresh air and some valuable advice and Ismire gets the company she enjoys having. Listen to her advice, old friend, it is very good and was what brought me to you,"Eilam reminded.

Dea seemed to have found some peace finally, since she had resolved to get stronger, but also allow those who cared about her help. She hadn't felt this happy since she had seen her parents a few days ago and she was determined to hold on to her happiness this time.

"Yes and it seems through the act of one persistent Arceus, you have been a bit of a miracle to me, Ismire. I am very glad he introduced us to each other. And Fluff, so many questions, you are going to drown her in them,"Dea smiled.

"Well, you know how he is, Dea, Fluff likes to know everything he can. I think we have gotten used to it, but it is usually a lot for others to handle. I am quite happy to see Ismire does not seem to be daunted by his barrage,"Lucinda giggled, reaching over to ruffle his hair.

"Oh, I am sorry, I didn't mean to ask so many questions. I just get excited to be with new people. I like to learn and I have never seen your kind before. You are very pretty and nice. So I hope you don't mind. I can't believe you can't be in the sun long. I enjoy being able to feel the warmth on my back,"Fluff admitted.

When they got to the cavern, the group followed Ismire inside and made sure to stay close. As they got to the center, a lot of ooos and ahhs came from the group.

"Yes, we would like to take one home,"Fluff piped up immediately, seeming to be mesmerized by the colors.

Seeing Dea relax gave Ismire a peace of mind. It was good to hear that her words had managed to ease another's heart yet again. It was music to her ears. This was the longest she'd had company in a while. It pleased her to know end to have been a help to someone in that time. It made Ismire feel spoiled as she looked over Dea and her family. Spoiled with company and friendship.

“I'm glad he led you here. It's been a while since someone – anyone -- has visited me. You have all been truly a blessing.” Ismire looked each of them over and paused for a moment at Lucinda who garnered a twinkling sparkle in the Articuno's eyes. “You're correct. I find his flurry of questions to be refreshing. Nothing I can't handle.”

Her attention shifted once more to Fluff to which she patted on the head lightly, sprinkling bits of snow on him. “There is nothing wrong with curiosity. Asking a bunch of questions to a person you've just met may be a bit much for others, but if you're far from others than hearing the voice of someone else is pleasant.” She paused to take the time to admire the glimmering lights around her. Her feathers seem to ruffle and gleam at the compliment. “The heat is uncomfortable for me, but the frost feels wonderful through my feathers. The difference in people makes conversations so interesting. Feel free to ask me as many questions as your heart desires.”

Chuckling softly at the mesmerized Fluff, Ismire nodded her head and craned her neck to a reach the mid of one of the many ice crystals that hung from the ceiling. With a concentrated shrill whistle, she managed to sever the tip from the body. Catching it within the downy soft feathers of her wings, she gently lowered the piece to Fluff. “It's yours to take home.” she spoke sweetly, allowing the bit of crystal to rain colors of light over the ground below it.
