It had been very fun, si, Terra thought as she left the scarentines booths. It wasn't over, of course, she had no idea how long it would be going on, but it was fun...

It just wasn't a Scarentine's DANCE. There had been no dancing, none! It was such a depressing thought to the ghoul that she stopped where she stood and let out a pathetic sigh. She had been so looking forward to the dancing! She enjoyed dancing!

She dug through her skirts, pulling out her skelephone and flipping through the dials. When she found the music, she brought up a song, turning it up as loud as she could and setting it on a fallen log. Then she lifted her arms, holding an invisible partner by the hand--right in the middle of the path leading back to the dorms--and started to dance. Salsa style.

What? Do you really expect a Spanish ghoul to enjoy ballroom dancing?

When one had more than a few pets, it was necessary to check on them. Even if only briefly for a day when he was to be out for most of it. To ensure no quarrels broke out and nothing was destroyed. And maybe feed them. Perhaps he should just leave the door open after he finished with his brief visit. Though that could also mean the escape of the army. People might not appreciate that many tiny shions roaming the halls. He didn't particularly want to trouble the other students with such a thing.

He'd been mulling over the various possibilities idly as he walked on, away from the chaos that was the fair of sorts only to be pulled back to reality by the rather loud sound of music coming from up the way he was heading. Was there some sort of booth this way? No, it was definitely too far back from the actual festivities and as he drew closer what the source was became evident. And stranger still.

A lone ghoul was dancing along the path with perhaps the most successful ghost of the bunch at meeting their specialty. One that was entirely invisible. Which meant the chances of there being an actual ghost there were slim to none. He watched idly, still moving closer to the peculiar scene. Cautious, but not really worried? She seemed to be enjoying herself, out for a moment on her own. Perhaps the vast amount of people had gotten to her, or this was just a random thought on a spur of the moment thing, but she was quite a sight. Her style wasn't one he particularly knew, far active and paced than the usual things he dealt with at gatherings. It seemed fun, but she also looked rather silly.

What with having no partner with her. He lifted a hand to mask the fact he might have just let out a small laugh at the image before him. He didn't want to ruin her ability to have fun, but she was a sort of an odd sight to see. Then again, after what he'd run into that day, perhaps this was normal.

Ice Queen
Don't mind him watching and maybe laughing... he's totally not here to ruin your fun. >w> Just ignore the fox that is trying to walk by a bit- and confused at her hobbies.

Step, step, step, arm raised, twist-- Terra stopped as she saw someone watching her, her eyes lightening at the sight of him. "Hola!" she said excitedly, heading for him with a bounce. "You are exactly what I have been needing! Will you dance with me? This is Scarentines! Scarentines is just not complete without at least one dance!"

Then she held out a hand, an expectant look on her face. "It is very simple! I can show you how," she promised. "Just one?"

Once again, the fact that Molan was anything but a quiet ninja was proven. Perhaps the bells weren't helping him improve that skill. He found the ghouls eyes falling upon him as he was slinking past and watching her in the process. Terra's cheery voice chimed up over the din of the music as she made her way toward him, causing an effect not unlike a deer in the headlights. He froze as she came, babbling about the holiday and dancing.

Obviously as it was he found him asking himself that very question. She wanted to dance? He shifted a bit, one hand raising to his chest almost as if to defend himself from... the attack? If you could call it that. "I..." And there she was, hand extended in a friendly manner a look that was hard to turn down on her face as she spoke up again. "If it's just one." It couldn't be that much different from those simple dances he'd learned for events. Just with a bit more movement. And... well he wasn't sure. He'd heard of the dance, just never done it. It meant being a bit too close to someone for his own comfort really.

And I just agreed to this. He thought, mentally chiding himself. With a complete stranger he didn't know the name of. Well, she'd just look ridiculous with someone such as him around. He hadn't the faintest the rules of this specific kind of dance. "If it really is simple." He added, watching her hand a moment before taking it. Right, that was part of this. He'd just pretend it was one of those events. Then it was fine.

"Si! We hold hands and you step back when I step forward, and forward when I step back!" she said. "Forward with your left foot, back with your right," she added, lacing her fingers through his as a new song started. She actually wasn't that close to him--not as close as ballroom dancing was. Then she stepped forward, starting to dance. Her skirt swished around her, and she grinned up at him.

"See? Simple!"

Holding hands was fine, it was just that... it wasn't quite the same as she laced her fingers between his when the lesson began. He listened to the explanation quietly, a bit distracted that he was about to sort of... jig across the grounds with a ghoul he'd never met. She was fine with it so, he'd just go along for now. Forward, back, and... there the music started so he attempted to follow along as she started. Forward, and back. His movements were hesitant, lacking the firm confidence the ghoul had. But he was trying, awkwardly.

He managed to keep from being too embarrassed with the repetitive thought that this was just like those events, she wasn't even very close to him. Which helped a fair bit. At least she seemed to be having fun? "It's... not too complicated." Came a quick reply as he attempted to keep pace with her, at least feeling a bit less worried about if it was the right step as they continued. But no one would really call him good at this if they saw. Oh goodness no.

She was grinning brilliantly--not just because he was getting the hang of it (in the loosest manner, the boil needed several, several years of learning before he was considered good) but because in this land where she knew only a handful of people, he was a complete stranger willing to dance with her just because she asked. That single fact would earn her friendship for life!

"Now for the spin! All you need to do is raise your arm," she said, tugging at the arm she wanted raised. "And I will spin into you!"

Molan wouldn't have thought he was getting the hang of it at all. In truth he was having to focus to not make mistakes, but he'd agreed to try this, so he was going to do his best. He didn't do things halfway, so well... He was trying. That much was obviously. He didn't think much of accepting to dance with her, he'd done so with a number of people he didn't know well in the past due to the way events worked. All fro higher end demon families, but honestly it wasn't that different at the basics?

And then there was a new excited statement as she indicated what she wanted with a small jerk of her own arm. "Right." It was more a statement he understood than actual conversation, but still something. It was obvious he was more focused on not screwing up too painfully. Ah well, here went nothing. Literally. Seeing as the ghoul was doing most of the world. He lifted his arm as instructed when it felt appropriate, at least having the sense to be prepared to catch her when she spun in. That was how this worked right?

The reaper ghoul smiled and spun into him, her arm over his head, holding his hand, then she spun out. The music finished. "Gracias! Thank you!" she said, practically bouncing. "I am Terra, I am a grim reaper," she said. "I should have told you that before dragging you into a dance, lo siento," she said a bit sheepishly as she ran to turn the music off and pocket her phone.

"You have made Scarentines somewhat more like home for me, thank you!" she told him. "I was feeling un poco--a little homesick," she admitted. "Is there something I can do in exchange for this favor?"

The beat continued along as he lightly caught her, letting the ghoul lead along as she was the who had the best of idea of what they were doing. It honestly wasn't so bad, a bit awkward, but dancing was meant to be fun. So he couldn't complain despite being sort of drug into it. Though as quickly as their odd little dance had begun it was over with the song as he let the girl practically skip off while speaking. An excitable thing that spoke in another language off and on. One he didn't understand, but he assumed the corrections she made afterward were what she'd meant.

Ah, so she was a reaper ghoul. Well she hadn't looked... too dead. Paint on her face was different than rotting, nor did she seem a ghost. So it made enough sense to him. "You're welcome." A brief reply, but he wasn't usually the most talkative. At her comment in regards to the bit about forgetting to introduce herself first he merely shook his head. It didn't bother him that much. "It's fine, regardless I chose to agree." He paused a moment before finally finishing with a last bit of information. "And my name is Molan, a demon." Though more than likely the horns were a dead giveaway. At least it seemed most judged him for what he was based on that.

He hadn't though too much of the dance, though apparently the reaper was more pleased about it than anything. Small things to one, large for another. Well, as long as she was happy he guessed. Though the question he wasn't sure of. There was little the Isukun really needed. He didn't know enough of the school to even guess at new things he might require. "Think nothing of it, we all have small things that make a day special. If a dance was what it took, then I am glad I was able to assist." He was mostly being polite, falling into habit as it was the norm for him. To be honest he could understand how she felt, he had to admit he was a bit homesick at time, missing the familiarity of his own household. He hadn't even been away long, but it felt like an eternity already.

She smiled at him. "Then I will accept your gift of a dance!" she decided. "It is very nice to meet you, Senor Molan. I do believe you are the first demon I have met here," she said, feeling a bit surprised by that fact. "I have met many reapers--which is surprising to me, I was the only one in my hometown--ah, were you going back to the dorms? May I walk with you?" she asked.

She moved to his side, assuming that it wouldn't bother him to walk together, at least until the paths to their dorms parted ways. "I have not met many demons at all," she admitted thoughtfully. "It is fascinating the many types of species that you can meet at this school! Have you met many people?"

He offered a brief smile at that, bowing his head lightly as a gentledemon might. "Of course, Terra." Honestly, it was still a bit of habit, but it was one he's had so long it would be difficult to break. So falling into it was only normal for him, a bit of a defense thing. He understood it so... well it was easy. Though he was a bit surprised to be the first demon she'd met, he'd met so many. Perhaps seeing as he was well... staying near his dorms. And it was demon central on the campus. "I feel that has much to do with out locations. I meet mostly demons myself." He replied, not really minding that she'd sidled up near him.

It was a free path after all. And likely she was heading to the dorms herself?

"Yes, I was going to check on my pets. They've been alone for a bit." He stated in reply to her question of his direction, and merely nodded at her request to continue along. She was right about variety though. While he had not met or spoke to many people, he found he saw a greet number of types within the grounds. Just about every FEAR being in existence seemed a potential to find in this school. Many he hadn't seen himself, nor heard of. "That is quite true, the variety is... endless. I haven't met many, but I'm certain with time."

"Si," she said. "Do you have any familia--family here?" she asked. "Either in town or in school? I have a brother! His name is Roch, he is very..." she frowned, trying to describe her brother. "Strange," she decided. "He has very many piercings and has a very strange hairdo. It sticks up straight in the middle, but is short on the sides. But I am sure if you have siblings they are not so strange."
PostPosted: Wed Feb 20, 2013 2:00 pm

He raised a brow at the question, a bit surprised she'd sort of hit the nail on the head. Though it seemed the reaper was a bit similar to himself, having a sibling that went there. Perhaps it was common for families to send multiple children to the school? "Yes, my younger brother." He replied, noting she had the same. And strange was certainly a word that fit his brother though... "He's peculiar." He nodded, obviously agreeing with the ghoul a bit. While he did not know Roch, he assumed that he'd remember someone by the description. Perhaps compared to her brother his own was quite normal. "He is... odd in a different sense. His appearance is normal, however he... his behavior is a bit strange at times." Right, Etzer did what he wanted and what was fine typically, his brother wasn't always the most practical person.

"We have very much in common, then!" Terra said. "Strange siblings and everything! I would like to meet your brother," she decided. "I am sure he cannot be so very bad, he is related to you, after all! Mi hermano--he is older than me, though. He is a hob, I think they call them. Oh! What sort of minipets do you have? I have only just started having them, so I only have two," she admitted.

"I am doing my best to raise them properly, but my treat, it is very messy," she admitted. "It bounces around the room and knocks things off of the walls. But Peppi is very well behaved! So maybe it is only because the treat was supposed to be a pirate..."
