About Roles:
Maeth: The Boss is able to do something of what everyone else can specialize in. Able to deal physical and magic damage, buff allies, debuff enemies, and heal himself.

Ayaji: Primary magic damage dealer. A spell for every elemental weakness as well as magic focused buffs.

Radjulon: While not necessarily the strongest or most endurance based, they are the quickest and sneakiest of characters. Their abilities focus on avoiding attacks and tripping up the enemy.

Avaxis: The go-to guy to kill horrible abominations of nature such as the undead, werewolves, and other Hollywood monster staples as well as defending against their kind.

Kazu: Support and magic damage. Assist allies and make sure everyone can keep fighting the best they can.

Destructo: The strongest attacks they have require them to take a loss of health. Other abilities include lots of debuffs.

Jovey: Not only the strongest melee fighter but also able to use nature and ranger-like tactics to defeat enemies, especially beasts of the wild.

Soa: Damage all the things! Drop all the bombs!

???: Who is this mysterious ally? Well they're good at dealing damage and also can infuse elements into their weapon whoever they are.

----- ----- -----

Soa, Setting Us Up the Bomb

All your base are destroyed.
He's constantly destroying guild structures as well as small defenseless test animals. Despite his fascination with the dangerous handling of bombs he's a rather simple and good natured person.
In terms of combat he's not a real front-line fighter, usually hanging out in mid range and attack with distance with either a long spear or by throwing missile-type weapons like darts or boomerangs along of course with all his explosives. A shield is always handy to block shrapnel and keep safe.
But if you think just chucking bombs is boring you don't know Soa. Not everything is destructive and he has a good variety of tricky bombs at his disposable that can cause all manner of confusion the the opposing forces.
Being so good at making and using demolitions however has attracted some unwanted attention, and it'll take more than just a single Bombardier to combat those that target him.

----
Jovey, Our Elves are Different

In some ways that is. Jovey is the more physically fit member of the crew. He's trained to be able to survive just about anywhere and fight whatever he finds there. He doesn't speak much and compared to a lot of the other members probably the most seemingly normal.
Jovey puts on the heaviest armor, the biggest swords, axes or spears and shields and goes into the fray. But he's also well equipped with combat tactics to gain the advantage over enemies. And as far as enemies go, he'll be very effective against wild beasts and animals with his ability to use Slaying Techniques.
But he's not all brawn either. He has a strong affinity and talent with Nature magic to both harm and protect himself. There's a sad history from his youth that still plagues his life. Hopefully this quest will finally free what ails him.

----
Destructo, It Hurts So Good

Possibly more evil in nature than even Maeth, Destructo takes pleasure in pain to a level hard to describe, his and others. Nearly his entire body is covered in bandages from the countless lacerations he's self-inflicted. If you think that's disturbing you haven't seen his victims, or what's left of them.
Psychotic, sadistic, and stealthy this assassin can deal high damage at the cost of health or cause unspeakable trauma to their mind and body.
But what makes a man become this way? Who would want to? Perhaps one could find out, but they'd have to brave a dark path that one might not come out alive from, or with their mind intact.

----
Kazu, The Most Dangerous Paper Pusher

One of the rare mystics from far away lands; Kazu uses a combination of magic, spirit, skill and paper to strike at their enemies and protect allies. Kazu can enchant their paper arsenal to become deadly weapons, shields; summon strange creatures, or bless their allies. But what no one can do is figure out what gender they are. The Guild has mostly given up trying.
There is someone Kazu is trying to help, but there are familiar forces at work against them. Will Kazu be able to keep their promise?
(Kazu is unique in that they are the only one who has Techniques that also use Mana).

----
Avaxis, The Supernatural Hunter

There are creatures that hide in the shadows, haunt children's dreams and make even the strongest man shake in fear. Avaxis kill them.
He tracks and hunts these monsters with the single purpose of banishing them from the face of the world. Combing holy magic with specialized tools, Avaxis shoots and stabs his targets while ensuring his allies are safe from the claws and teeth of his enemies.
From around the globe there are stories of the great monsters that wish to terrorize the people. With Silver bolts at the ready, Avaxis makes his move to hunt those that hunt others.

----
Radjulon, A Pirate's Life for Me

Yo Ho Ho land lubbers. Be you strong enough and clever enough to consider yourself worthy of the feared pirate, Radjulon? When it comes to fighting Rad only has one rule: there are no rules. Blessed with great luck, speed, and a pretty good aim with a gun, Rad will outwit her foes and leave them laying on the floor without knowing what hit them. Keep a tight hold on your purse, she may take a swipe at that along the way. Bottoms up, swashbucklers!
Always eager to find the next best treasure Rad will go anywhere to steal it, but while she's busy searching for booty, someone may be searching for her's.

----
Ayaji, Nobody Puts Her in the Corner

There are elemental spirits on Gaia that can be bound and summoned by mages all over. Ayaji does things a little differently. Instead of complex spells and bindings Aya dances and communicates directly with the elements. Her talents have granted her the special ability to use more than a single element, sometimes at once. Fire, Water, Ice, Earth and Lightning are all at her disposal.
Besides being a talented dancer and magic user she's a skilled musician and in her hands a simple instrument can become dangerous.
Ayaji is a cheerful person but determined. There is something causing a stir with the elements and Aya wants to know what's up.

----
Maeth, Dashing, Dastardly Devil

For as long as he could remember Maeth has dreamed of domination. After establishing his army under the guise of a Guild he has worked his way to complete world domination by any means necessary. In order to defeat the North Kingdom Maeth bargained with powers from the netherworld and used that strength to assassinate the King. But it was not to last. After years of scheming and searching for ways to grow in power Maeth sets his eyes on the entire world.
Maeth's dark powers take the form of both pure magic and combat prowess. Although selfish he is not above assisting those who are loyal to him. His past is catching up with him however, and other-worldly forces are not one to forget a slight.

Hate to focus on myself but I remember you mentioned something about Jovey going into female form - or maybe I misheard. If so, though, I've been dying to know: how you were planning to do that, and would that affect stats at all?

Personal side-quest series. And no, no change of stats but I think you mentioned you get a bit crazy as a girl so your dialogue may be more dangerous.

Guess what I lack in stats, I make up for with hitting multiple targets. You'd think I'd have better defense though with all the explosions I technically deal with.

All the ratings are based off my preliminary notes on how to balance the stats. These notes helped guide where to raise some and others but its not quite accurate in the final decisions I made. Also, equipment plays a large role in what your ending parameters will be.

You may not have the best base defense but you're also able to wear heavier armor to make up for it. Destructo, who also has your 'level' of defense (although yours is a bit higher on the database graph) can not wear general or heavy armor but he also has the highest HP amount of anyone. When you deal damage to yourself like he does for attacks it sort of equalizes the playing field.

At least that's what I hope. This does bring me to think to add equipment allowance on there so I'm gonna do that.

I feel I should also mention that since we have a lack of a cyborg in the player roster for this one, a large number of jokes in the game are being targeted at Soa.

But really is this a surprise? I mean... yeah.

SOA is the new lightning rod of hate? XD Can't go too far with this one. He'll boom you.

My only worry in terms of writing stories for these characters is I either do a poor job representing you or I do too good of a job.

Gonna start adding little fun information for each player to describe a bit more in detail what they are capable of as well as hint to their story side quests.

Read the first post to find them.

So club was vice captain for a long time, I think that needs a mention in your game somewhere. Did she go rogue and that's why she vanished on us? Hidden agendas?

I do have something mentioned.
A tombstone.
They all dead.

Aw, how boring. Oh well.
And by 'they' I assume you mean all members of the guild who are not playable characters?

Exactly.
Casualties of war I'm afraid.
