Uller didn't even know what speed dating was. He was promised free chocolates and, Jack be damned he was going to get them. Even if it meant sitting through some insufferable person chattering on and on about nothing. The snow stag wasn't very optimistic about this. Then again, optimism wasn't in Uller's personal vocabulary. With a sigh, the stag pushed his hands in his pockets and waited for the other. Was it to be a ghoul? A boil? Either way, he wasn't going to be too open and friendly, but... He wasn't going to be too nasty, either. He was opening himself up to new possibilities. Or at least, that's what he wanted to happen. If his personality actually let him do that, he would surprise himself. For all he knew, he got teamed up with Danny and he was just going to simply walk away if he saw her. Stupid fire ghoul. She really pissed him off when she tried to force him out in the hall during the movie. He didn't even know who she was until after the fact. Whatever. This other needed to hurry up.

The famine horseman, wearing full robes rather than his more scanty affair, headed for the blanket he'd been pointed to, nodded at the scareling he'd been paired with, and said, "Greetings, I am Faiyum Riaz of the Horsemen Clans," very politely. His hair, on the other hand, waved around his face, watching the boil curiously--and somewhat smiling in a rather disturbing manner. "It is a pleasure to meet you," Fai said as he sat down. He wasn't the tallest, or even the most manly of the ponies, in fact he was only 5'6, not counting his hair, and rather baby faced and skinny looking. But a head full of man eating plants that seemed rather sentient made him rather distinctive, regardless of what clan he came from. "Your name is, my friend?" he asked with a smile. He, honestly, hadn't expected much at all--since speed dating was a foreign concept to the horseman.

When the horseman showed up, the boil stopped and arched a brow. Seriously? Whatever, it wasn't his first horseman he's met. Rubbing his face a little, and pushing his bangs out if it, Uller gave him a nod and extended his hand to Faiyum. "Glasere Uller. Most call me Uller." He spoke with an accent on his name. It was an odd name, even for this world. Faiyum looked like he could eat something. For a while. "I don't know what we're doing, exactly. I came here for the chocolates, not..." When Faiyum shook his hand, he would notice that Uller was cold to the touch. That is what he got for being an ice monster. He was cold to the touch, had an icy aura around him. With how thin the other was, he was worried that he was going to end up making the horseman sick. He hated making others sick. "So, I guess that you don't know what we're supposed to do?"

Fai looked around. "I believe we are supposed to be chatting pleasantly while consuming whatever it is that is in the basket," he said, reaching for the basket. He pulled out the things inside, stopping as he saw the card. "Ah, and we have a card of... jokes?" he said as he glanced at it. "Or perhaps games. This one is about something in your pocket," he said as he read the first one. "And being... happy to see me? I don't believe the two have anything to do with one another, but perhaps it might make for an interesting conversation." Taking one of the bottles of soda, he opened it and poured himself a glass. "Would you like to guess what is in my pockets?" * w *

What the Jack? That was the weirdest thing he'd ever heard. Letting his ears flick this way and that, he settled on the blanket comfortably and then shook his head. "I don't really... want to know if you even have pockets." He frowned a little more and shook his head. "Let's forego the games for now. They're not.. something I enjoy unless I'm on my desktop in my dorm room." He sighed a little more and just looked around at the others, letting his nose wrinkle. He looked at the card as well and just shook his head and looked in the basket before finding a chocolate. Pulling one out, he unwrapped it and popped it in his mouth, sighing. "I don't see why this is even a thing. Speed dating? Fifteen minutes isn't even enough time to know if someone is going to be your friend, much less a date. It's very asinine."

"You think so?" Fai asked. "In fifteen minutes millions of people can be killed, I would think that in fifteen minutes you can decide whether you want to like someone or not," he said, thoughtfully. The way he put it seemed strange, but he kept going. "You play on your desktop? Tell me, is it that technology again?" He seemed quite interested, even leaning forward slightly. "The one fascinating thing about coming here from the isles is your machines. I have never seen such interesting toys before. Are your games on the phone?" he asked.

Uller hadn't really been expecting that change of pace. He arched a brow at the words and shrugged a little more. "I suppose. There is truth in your words, but it takes me longer." He shrugged a little more and stretched out on the blanket, laying back a bit on the blanket. He sighed listened to the questions and arched a brow. Right. They didn't have the same kind of technology. "I have games on my skellyphone, but.... I play on a computer. Like a Scaretop but bigger. It doesn't move from my desk. Too many parts and too big." He flopped down on his back and looked upwards, squinting lightly. "I play games where I shoot humans. It's fairly fun. I'm not too good at it, but when I'm aggrivated or sad, it tends to do the trick to get me going back to normal." He eyed the other one and arched a brow again. ".... What do you do for fun if you do not have computers?"

He had no idea what a scaretop was. Fai made a mental note to look into these marvelous things where you could shoot humans from your desk. "Ah, I am an alchemist," he said. "My time was spent creating carnivorous plants and various other plagues and viruses. Precious, here, is a small piece of my first project," he added, patting one of the largest heads. "I suppose you could call botany my hobby. One of the things I managed to accomplish was a small tour among the four clans. I collected seeds from all four isles, of their most interesting plants. Tell me," he said, changing the subject, "do you hate humans?" He looked extremely interested in the answer.

Botany? He didn't know anything about it. Tilting his head to the side he just shrugged and looked up at the sky again before he shifted a little more and then thought a moment. "Hate? Strong word. I don't know about hate... I went on a DETH field trip and was forced to hug them... It was uncomfortable and they smelled really bad, but..." He let his words trail off a bit. "Do you? ...Or your... ah.." he motioned to Precious and then looked back at the horseman. It was some icebreaker question, that was for sure.

"Humans are... useful, in their own way," Fai said slowly. "But what the hunters have done to us--I can honestly say that I hate them. But this is weighty matters for a short meeting such as this. Tell me more about this computer of yours. How does it operate? Where can I get one?" How would he afford one, that wasn't a question that had occurred to the horseman--it usually didn't.

"My friend, Tahki, built it for me. My old scaretop died.. ...Or rather, we killed it with a bat and then threw it out the window when the bat wasn't working." He didn't say anything about the fact that he had hit himself in the shin with said bat. Or the fact that Tahki had been the object of his attentions for a while. Until she suddenly left on another vacation with her family. But why did this new guy need to know that? He'd never see the horseman again. He thought a moment and let his brows knit together. "You could talk to Mort, an undead with a mechanical arm. He's not the ..... most talkative, but he's good with things like this. He'd know more than I do." Uller looked at the other, from head to toe and arched a brow. ".... So I've met two horseman from Conquest and you're Famine.. Does every clan have a specific look to them?"

"I will remember that," Fai said. "Ah, it is... true, actually. Not only in our clothing, but in our appearances. While we are all horsemen, each clan has distinctive traits. For the Famine, especially. If you see a horseman that looks rather thin--possibly showing bones, such as the rib cages or the wings, that is typically a Famine horseman. Precious, though, is not exactly because I was born Famine," he said. "Precious is grafted into my skull--a personal thing. Of course, Alchemist enjoy showing off their work in a personal manner such as this," he added, still patting one of the blooms.

He took the information in and nodded a little more. It would have phased Uller, the bits about how grotesquely thin some where, but he'd seen normal undead have pretty much the same thing. Still, it was interesting to learn that he was right; certain horseman looked a certain way. He was going to have to pin point the next horseman he met. "You're the first horseman I've met that is actually a man. I've met Lifen and Lan thus far." Lan, he didn't care for. She was a snob and bribed him with sugar cubes to pull a sleigh. Lifen was too much of a stuck up, sometimes, for him. Admittedly, both had nice figures that he could appreciate. Ah, well. "I see.. Well... I suppose then, that this would make this... 'date' a threesome."

Fai looked rather amused at that summery of the females in question. "My friend, they are of Conquest, you realize," he said mildly. "The Conquest Horsemen are very... fascinating people, I have found. But you see, I am of Famine, and we of Famine are much more adapting than the other clans. We pride ourselves on our adaptability." Then he laughed out loud at the threesome comment. "Alas, Precious's intelligence is on par of your minipets, perhaps a bit higher, but not much. It is hardly capable of conversing--other than by chewing on people. I do not see It contributing anything other than trying to eat the picnic basket they have so kindly provided. But I believe our time is about up?" he asked. "It has been a pleasure conversing with you."

Yes, Conquest horseman were very interesting thus far. He might want to meet more of them. Still, when the Famine horseman realized the time, he glanced and noticed other couples finishing up. Ah, yes. It seemed it was. "It was a pleasure meeting you, as well. We need to get together for further conversation under no time restraints, hm?" he asked as he sat up straight and stretched out. His back could be heard popping in several places before the stag rose and offered Faiyum his hand. "Until then, Faiyum. It has been an interesting meeting, and not one I will soon forget." Uller seemed like he was in a better mood. The sass had gone as he got to know the other, and Precious, a bit more.
