Rules on how to become a Moderator
- Must complete and submit a Moderator application.
Must have been active within the Academy for at least 1 year.
A current/former God/Goddess position is recommended but not required.
Must have a relatively clean record within the Academy. Must have no major offenses on record.
Must be of sound mind and judgment.
Must demonstrate patience.
Must pass the Moderator’s Examination and review board.
Once one has been selected to become a Moderator, a certain level of training will follow to ensure that the selected Moderator is well trained and prepared to hold the responsibilities of being a Moderator.
Positions for Moderators will be posted when needed so please before to look in the appropriate place within the Academy to check for any listings and remember to keep checking.
Rules for Moderators
- Moderators are in charge of the entire Academy and everyone within it. They are to enforce rules and regulations for all members including Gods/Goddesses. Any God/Goddess caught in violation of the rules shall be punished accordingly at a tribunal to be held by the Moderators and witnessed by the Gods/Goddesses of the Academy.
Moderators are the creators of the rules and will NOT in any way create any sort of rule that is biased, of ill-judgment, irrational, discriminating, etc. All rules will be submitted before the other Moderators and will be voted on before being approved and put into effect.
Moderators are problem solvers, but are recommended to address the more critical problems as overflow is bound to happen. Remember the chain-of-command. One must go to an Instructor/Lead Instructor first instead of going straight to a Moderator.
Moderators are responsible for accepting and approving/denying all elemental transfers within the Academy once that documentation has been turned over to them by the approving God/Goddess of either the current element that a person wishes to transfer from or the God/Goddess of the element the person wishes to join. Only a Moderator may change that person’s elemental status within the Academy.
Moderators are responsible for submitting monthly evaluation reports of the Gods/Goddesses for the other Moderators to review. Moderators are also responsible for reviewing all other evaluation reports to make sure that all Instructors, Lead Instructors, Masters and Head Masters conform to the standards expected of them in their positions.
Moderators shall/can suspend a person from the Academy for conduct but a person cannot be banned without full consent of every Moderator. In the absence of a Moderator (IE, vacation, death in the family, schedule, etc.) the Gods/Goddesses will be opted to take a vote.
Moderators and Gods/Goddesses will not be bias in any way. Friends are friends but rules are rules.
Moderators are required for set tribunal dates. These dates and times will be set to meet with schedules, but it is imperative that all Moderators attend. In the absence of a Moderator the God/Goddess of that element can step in and serve as a tribunal officer only if requested upon by the Moderators if needed.
Moderators are responsible for enforcing storylines to make sure that no storyline goes on and on forever or hits any sort of delay that would result in disinterest.
Moderators shall also be active within the Academy. Any long period of absence that is needed shall be reported to another Moderator. Any long length of absence that is unjustified can result in the Moderator losing their position.
- If the position of that Moderator has already been filled due to absence but that absence has a justifiable reason; upon the return of the former Moderator, the former Moderator can request either a vote from the members of the school and of the Gods/Goddesses and other Moderators to include a series of 3 debates to be heard by the students, Gods/Goddesses, and other Moderators or request a bout to be held.
In the event of a tie in the votes, a special tiebreaker bout will be held to be officiated by the Gods/Goddesses of the Academy.
