Rules for becoming a Master/Head Master
- You must complete the Head Master/Master application and submit it.
You must be an active member of the Academy. This includes coming on about every day and participating with events and other people.
You must have been an Instructor/Lead Instructor for two months time. For a Head Master position you must have been a Master for two months time.
You must possess applicable knowledge of your element. There will be a test given to test this knowledge on this level.
Must pass the Master/Head Master review board.
There can only be 1 Head Master for each element and only 2 Masters for each element. Master/ Head Master positions will be posted as needed in the proper place within the tread. Be sure to keep checking for any postings of any new Master/Head Master positions that become available.
Rules for Masters/Head Masters
- A Master/Head Master has power to issue out verbal and/or written warnings to students and Instructors/Lead Instructors. The Head Master shall have power to issue such warnings to Masters and other Head Masters. Masters/Head Masters shall have no such power to suspend and/or ban people from the Academy.
A Master/Head Master is responsible for the Instructors/Head Instructors within their element and are responsible for their conduct and behavior. A Head Master is responsible for all Masters within their element and is responsible for their behavior and conduct.
A Master/Head Master is responsible for the well-being and instruction of the students and Instructors/Head Instructors within their element.
A Master/Head Master is responsible for the monthly student reports from Lead Instructors and must submit those reports to the God/Goddess of that element.
A Head Master is responsible for assigning the number of open Instructor positions within the element. This number must be submitted and approved by the God/Goddess of that element.
A Head Master is responsible for monthly Instructor and Head Instructor reports to be submitted to the God/Goddess of that element.
A Head Master is responsible for serving as an appointed Guardian either by the person(s) being charged with an offense or by rule of the tribunal and must attend that said tribunal. A Head Master is also responsible for serving as an appointed Guardian for a suspended and expelled person(s) in the appeals process.
A Master/Head Master shall report to the God/Goddess of that element when they are to be away from the Academy for an extended amount of time, i.e.: being sick, injury, travel, school, etc. Extended amounts of time are to include any portion of time of which a person is to be away from the Academy for more than 1 week.
- Failure to report to the God/Goddess of that element of an extended leave of absence from the Academy shall result in the Master/Head Master being placed on a probationary period of no less than 14 days. Upon a second failure to report to the God/Goddess of that element of an extended leave of absence from the Academy the Master/Head Master shall be removed from their rank and replaced.
If the length of unreported absence is justifiable, then upon return of the Master/Head Master from the first offense, no punishment shall be made. If upon the second offense and it is justifiable and the position of the Master/Head Master has been filled, the former Master/Head Master can request either a vote from the school populous including the Gods/Goddesses or hold a bout to decide who will keep the position.
In the result of a tie in the votes, a special tiebreaker bout will be conducted and officiated by the God/Goddess of that element.
