How much time had passed? Seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, years? It seemed like forever but it was only mere moments ago that the news of a lifetime was muttered into the night air.
Aderyn yr Eira Duliisdi woke with a start, she knew she was dreaming of something important and that something would make for a great tale. Was this actually a vision of the future or just her over active imagination? The young filly hoped that it could be both, for who does not dream of achieving great feats in their lifetime?
She gazed up at the heavens, a myriad of stars covered the vast blackness and in the center was a bright waning crescent. It reminded her of a song that she had overheard a Gypsy mare singing, although the only line the young foal remembered was the one that begged the moon to keep shining down, but that was perhaps due to the fact the rest of the song was in a language the filly did not understand.
No longer tired, the adventurous filly left the quiet glen her small family called home for the time being. She left the rock and leaf to signify she was out exploring; she did not want the family to worry too much about her whereabouts in the dark woods at night.
A large smile appeared on her countenance, and a mischievous twinkle appeared in her eye. Nocturnal Adventures were always the most heart pumping, adrenaline inducing fun.
