Copper stood at the edge of the plains, unwilling to enter the forest. Trees were a lovely thing, but not when they were all bunched together. It was hard for him to maneuver through them and low hanging branches pestered his mane. The forest didn't look too thick right here, but he knew that was a trick. After all of his experiences in the forest, he knew it would become almost impossible to get through at a certain point. He'd be lucky to find a clearing if he entered.
He looked back at the long stretch of the plains and sighed. Though they were open and therefore a little less safe, he liked them for the space they provided. But he had to go into the forest, he had to keep moving because he had to find Kasi. He let out one more sigh, this one more determined, and then he pushed past his first pair of trees and into the forest.
Meanwhile in the forest:
Isi Anowa stepped carefully over a small stream, delicately placing her hooves on the earth and moving quietly. Her small body frame and thin legs made it easy for her to navigate through the trees but she stepped carefully still, knowing that any step could send her tumbling to the ground. She hopped lightly over large rocks, staring at the world around her. She was trying with all her might to find any sort of similarity in the world around her. But the more she looked, the more she knew it was hopeless. She had no idea where she was. It wasn't because she was lost, no. Not in that sense. In fact, she could be home and she wouldn't know it. She was lost, but she was lost everywhere.
She frowned at the trees, becoming frustrated at her memory loss. This happened everywhere she went. Why could she still not remember? She sighed, continuing forward deeper into the forest and hoping that her memory would spark soon. She knew it probably wouldn't, but she had to try. She had to find out what her life had been, what she had been.
Isi stepped a little too quickly, slipping a little on the rocks. Her heart beating quickly, she took a few deep breaths and checked herself. She was unharmed, thankfully. I will have to be more careful. She thought to herself, looking at the ground suspiciously.
