The basics were in place. A grueling month or so later, the house was starting to have a semblance of home. It still wasn't decorated or decked out with furniture. Still bare bones equipment from IKEA with kitchenware from Bed, Bath and Beyond.

She needed an assistant. Now that they were un-bishounen'd, Ami was more than happy to call on a few friends for help. So with a sly smile, she pulled out her phone and texted a good friend.

Text to Tori: We haven't met for a while, my dear. Would you mind coming to the village to help me with a few chores? I promise it won't take long.

Tori was so glad to be un-bishounen'd as it had been interesting but not too much after the constant lectures that she had been getting from her weapon about how she was suppose to act and what not. So she hadn't been in a mood to talk with anyone except for work constantly in the Labs, but she knew that Aklin might have been a little jealous on how she looked as a bishy to why all the lectures.

Currently Tori was in the Labs when her phone went off, reading the text she was a little puzzled to why meet Ami in the village. Oh well she thought as she shot off a reply as it was totally a good time for a break.

Text to Ami: It has been a while and I don't mind one bit. Be there real soon.

After that had been sent Tori put away her reading materials, pocketing her notes and headed out of the Labs. It hadn't taken her too long to get to the village as Tori walked around looking around for Ami.

Ami met Tori on the edge of the village. It would've been awkward to just leave the girl wandering around, especially when there were dangers abound. It would've been rude.

"Hello Tori~" she chimed as the other Life Hunter showed up. "This way." She began the walk to her house, slow and steady. "Were you busy?"

Tori couldn't remember if she had ever been to the village or not. So she was glad that Ami was there waiting for her as Tori smiled more as she walked over to her friend. "Hi, Ami," she said as she looked Ami over and smiled a little more when spotting her new coat, as Tori was so happy for her. "Congrats on making it to full Hunter!" she added as she gave Ami a quick hug even tho Tori knew better but it had to happen and it was best to just get it over with. "Alright," Tori nodded as she followed Ami as Tori suspected it was to her house. "No I wasn't I was just doing some reading," Tori answered not really telling the whole truth since she had been reading just not the normal reading she did all the time, but Tori would do anything with Ami despite on what she might be doing.

Oh. Right, she forgot. Not everyone had been alerted to her hunter status, and she was still getting congratulatory remarks on it. Personally, she didn't think it was that big of a reward. It just meant she was one step closer to the front lines. C'est la vi.

Ami smiled and said, "Wonderful. I wouldn't want to interrupt." Of course, she never much thought it interrupting with Tori anymore. They'd both drop what they could for each other, and Ami quite liked their arrangement.

"Now," she began. "I have a few books that need to be sorted onto shelves and some clothes that needed to be folded. I know it's a bit boring, but it's better than minipet duty, right?" A tiny smile crossed her lips. "Oh- and I need my lantern lights strung again."
PostPosted: Sun Feb 17, 2013 1:32 am

Well Tori thought becoming a full Hunter did deserve congrats as it ment that they have higher clearance to things even if it did mean close to front lines oh and bigger place to live too, tho Tori wasn't sure right now if she did want to move into a house as she was alright with how the dorms were right now, she had enough alone time for many life times.

"You never will, ever," Tori replied as she smiled bigger wondering to what they were going to do.

Hearing all of what had to be done to Tori was never boring at all as it was all fun and better than minipet duty. "All of that sounds fun and your right I would rather be here than doing minipet duty," she answered since cleaning up after minipets wasn't so nice. Hearing the last part about her lantern lights Tori got a little smiled oh so large as Tori was really happy that Ami wanted those strung up again. "Lets totally rehang your lantern lights! Oh I also have more of them if you need any more of them,"

Ami let out a little laugh at Tori's excitement to hang up lights. It was such a simple gesture, yet it embodied their friendship so well. Simple lights to protect her from the dark night.

"Oh, I don't think I need more!" she said with a light smile. "But thank you."

They arrived at Ami's little home. It wasn't much, actually. On the outside there wasn't anything beyond a small platform porch that didn't amount to anything at all. The inside was cozy, enough for her and one other person, maybe. A one floor house with a tiny crawl space that could barely be called an attic. A bedroom, bathroom, study room, living room and kitchen. Barely bigger than a dorm, but absolutely enough for Ami. Admittedly, she loved it. "Here we are ... Mind the steps."
PostPosted: Sun Feb 17, 2013 7:04 am

Tori blushed just when hearing Ami's little laugh as it was the truth that she really was excited to hang up those lights and really happy that Ami kept them. "Alright and your welcome. If you need any more just ask," she answered wondering to herself on what way to hang those lights up. Something different then they were hung up in Ami's dorm room.

Ami's house was just so cute, Tori thought when they has arrived and by far the best that she had ever seen, even if it didn't look good. She had seen her share of grand homes and lived them too, but Ami's house was by far the best since lots of effort was put into it to make it a living home. "A very nice home, Ami. I really do like it," Tori replied as she looked it over keeping a mental list of things that could be done. "Alright," she added as she kept on following Ami still so very excited!

Ami preened a bit at the compliments. She was quite proud of her fix up job with Marcus and it was nice to hear it was going well. As well as it could be. Sometimes Lex came over to help, but most of it was done on her own.

"Thank you my dear. I think we should do books first." She cracked open the door, leading Tori into the room. "Or would you like a tour?"

"Your very welcome," Tori replied still smiling as Ami should be proud as to Tori your house was the most beautiful to what Tori thought. Tho Tori didn't know if she could fix up a home of her own like Ami had done, but that would have to be thought of on another time all together.

"Could I get a tour first and then we get to the books after ward?" she asked wanting to see Ami's new place and all the work that she had put into the house as she followed Ami inside.

A sly smile came across Ami's face. "I was hoping you'd ask that," she purred, letting Tori into the house.

So the tour began. Nothing was particularly expensive, and everything was touched by a hand that loved vintage decorations. It started with the living room- a perfectly average living room. A big couch that faced a TV that would probably hardly be used by Ami- that was the goal, anyways. At the moment it only had a couch and a few pictures hung on the wall.

They moved into the kitchen. Again, it was tiny and only held the bare essentials, but it was getting there. She'd reinforced the windows as best she could (with Marcus' help, of course), but every time she walked into the room she worried that one day monsters would come and smash them in. Such was the worry of a new houseowner on the island. And old ones, too. Ami made a point to show Tori all of the working appliances- she was quite proud of that after all!

Next they moved to the bathroom, which was quickly passed over. Ami had wanted a standalone tub, but it was simply too expensive and too difficult to install. It was a pleasant purpleish color though- it never failed to make Ami feel more relaxed. Of course, all of Ami's beauty products had yet to be splayed across the room- those still remained in her dorm as the house wasn't quite habitable yet. With time though, the bathroom would turn into a complete girly boutique.

Around the corner was the study. It housed a wraparound desk, with high shelves that housed countless books. A laptop sat on the desk next to countless notebooks and journals.

The final stop, the masterpiece, was Ami's room. An enormous closet on one side and books stacked to the sky on the other. She had intended to sort all the books into the shelves, but she simply hadn't had the time. That was part of why Tori was here after all! Decorations and sorting. Simple stuff.

Ami finished the tour and sat on her bed. "So ... that's the house. You're welcome over any time, of course dear."

Ami's house looks like this. At the the moment it's not all put together though, a lot of the parts are missing! Just in case you wanted an idea of what it -will- look like <3 <3 <3

Chuckling a little at Ami’s sly smile as Tori walked into her house as it was always good to see Ami smile.

Tori quietly walking with Ami as she was giving her the tour, Tori really liked what Ami had done to her place. It reminded her of one of the homes that she had lived in when her parents traveled around. Tori always liked the look of vintage decorations in any place she had been. She was also impressed at how well Ami had decorated despite the sparseness that Tori felt wouldn’t last too long and for the fact that she wasn’t as good at decorating anything since most of the time that was left to her mother and servants.

Totally squeeing just a little to see the collection of books that Ami had acquired that were in her study. But Ami totally got more squeeing when Tori saw the all the books that were stacked and Tori totally wished that she had more room to get more books. Maybe once she got promoted and a bigger place she would get more books and then take Ami on a book buying spree.

“Ami you have such a beautiful home! I for one will say even I know you will put more into that your home is better than any I have lived in the past,” Tori said once the tour was over and Ami had sat onto her bed. To what Tori said was the truth even if Tori had lived in really expensive homes but Ami’s was so warm and welcoming to Tori as Ami had put herself into her home to make it how she had wanted and not to just impress people to tell other how much money the had to what her mother always did.

“Also thank you too, you are still very welcome to come over to my dorm any time too,” Tori replied. “So let’s get to those books and after that I will help you with anything that you need help with,” she added with a smile of delight since Tori would do anything for Ami.

Though Ami's face remained in its placid nothingness, a sort of light lit in her eyes at Tori's amusement with her books. It was cute, really it was.

"That has to be hyperbole," she commented at Tori's exclamation about it being the "best home." "I quite like it though. It's no New York, but it will have to do."

She nodded at Tori, moving in closer to the bookshelf. "Alphabetical order, by author, please."

Giggling slightly as she did see that Ami that you are amused by her and Tori really glad by it. As Tori thought of somethings that later on she would have to get Ami for her house and Aklin just gave a really big sigh with a really big rolling of eyes at his hunter.

Tori just smiled wide to Ami's comment about what she had said as to Tori it was the best home. "As you should as your home will only get more beautiful with time. That is true but in my own oppion its better than New York," Tori replied and she was going to stick to that as here on the island is better place than all of were she had lived in her past.

Quietly getting closer to the bookshelf and to all those books and was making quiet happy noise while grinning. "Alright," Tori answered as she started to pick up the books while putting them in order like Ami wanted. Humming while keeping a mental note of what books Ami had and what books could be good presents to add to Ami's collection.

chimarii
YES as that would be fun! That sounds good to me <3333

"Oh Tori," she chided her friend. "Nothing is better than New York. Absolutely nothing." She couldn't help but defend her home territory. Well ... it wasn't exactly home anymore, now was it.

With a sigh, she picked up two of the books and began working on the shelf below Tori. "Though I appreciate the compliments, my dear." She was all too happy to pass the time with silence, but knowing Tori there was a conversation to be had. "So what have you been up to?"
