During her travels in loose parallels with the farmers that shared her home, Switch would wander along the northernmost reaches of the land that ended only because the ocean demanded it. Already getting on in the year, the winds whipped the landscape with the last dying embers of the summer and the first breath-stealing drafts of winter. Autumn was a tumultuous time for the weather and those who lived beneath its thrall.
And for the young wandering farfetch'd, it was a time of exploration and adventure!
Barrel rolls had spun her along the lake shore she had only ever known from its opposite bank. Beyond, along the narrow stretch of endless sand, she had chased the surf as the tide slipped in and billowed out. Grazing her toes along the waters of the swamp, she had swooped in to take a closer look, and to grab a saline snack. Then she had allowed a stream to carry her lazily from swamp to sea, while she noted the changes between estuary and salty ocean water. Even the plants had tasted different! She had even felt a surge of boldness when skirting the town with wary, wild eyes. Of these places, she knew no names, only the fact that humans had labeled them. They inspired no word in her mind, only pure feelings and exciting new experiences.
Though she had a vague notion of following that Cotier band of humans, the only ones she would dare associate with, she had no other direction in mind. Since she was out here beyond her home, she would only take advantage of her new-found freedom for as long as she could.
In her recent travels already she had met a most interesting pawniard and had learned almost as much about him as she had herself in just trying to break the language barrier! She wondered how many other pokémon would not simply understand her when she spoke? She wondered how many other interesting ones she would meet before her journey's end! So far, she had not sought out new friends, she had merely come upon them by chance. But maybe it was time she should make an effort to do so...
Orpheus Solon I hope this is all right for ye, Orphe! <3

"You really are a strange little eevee, you know that don't you Gethin?" Came the amused tone of the human trainer as she chatted with the odd little eevee that had randomly appeared at her place some time ago, not long after Rasui had been born in fact. They had gone over all of the breedings, looked into all the hatchings, and just couldn't figure out where he'd come from. There was always the chance that a wild eevee had seen the place and thought that there was a chance for free food but why stick around after eating was the question. Deidra was pretty certain that the answer was Rasui, maybe Gethin had seen his fellow eevee and decided that he needed to take charge? It would make sense given how he'd taken over care for the blind eevee, leading him around by the harness and leash that the little one had been put on him to keep him from wandering off. No matter where he came from Deidra couldn't really fault the little he guy, he was such a sweet little thing, especially for being a wild one.
Gethin gave pause in his walking to look up at the girl that was talking to him, barely bothering to blink, before his attention was back on his eevee ward. None of the humans on the farm, none of the eevee, and not even Rasui knew what he really was and thus far it was really working out for him. He got food whenever he wanted, a warm bed, lots of cuddles, and was even allowed to take over as primary care taker for Rasui when the human called Deidra was at school. All in all he had to say that this particular disguise was far more useful then anyone of the other ones that he'd taken on in the past. He might have to keep it for a while longer, at least until Rasui was stronger, and then he would lead with his new friend. He never stuck around anywhere all that long, not the sort that wanted to settle down, but the adorable Rasui had struck a chord with him and he wanted nothing more then to keep him for his own. The only problems he saw thus far with the plan was that for one Rasui seemed to genuinely like Deidra, the other problem being was that he was rather... soft. He wasn't sure if he would do too well in the wild, not until Gethin rose in level quick enough that he was able to protect his adorable little friend.
For now though he supposed that it was best that they with the humans. Soon though he would take Rasui away with him, "How are you doing?" He asked of his friend in the Pokemon language, knowing that, given his young age, that Rasui was quick to tire. He would rather they take a break if Rasui needed it then for the eevee to get too tired to walk back home and need to be carried. Seeing him carried by someone else did make him a touch jealous, though he just told himself that one day, when he got strong enough to evolve into a Zoroark, that he would carry Rasui around himself instead of letting the human girl do it.
Rasui gave a smile and a wag of his fluffy tail, "No need to worry, I am quite alright, Gethin. It's very kind of you to ask." He said sweetly to his friend, stepping closer to where he could sense the other Pokemon's warmth and cuddled against him for a moment before they continued their walk toward... well, wherever it was they were going. Given he'd never been this far from home he really had no clue but figured that when they got to their destination that Deidra would let them know. For now he was just content to continue walking along, completely oblivious to Gethin's plots. No reason to worry about something like that, not when it was such a nice day out! At least a nice day save for the cool breeze that was but he wasn't going to let even that get to him since everything else was so nice.
Gethin gave a nod of his head, glanced at Deidra who was cooing over how adorable they were being, chatting amongst themselves, before shaking his head and turned his attention back to Rasui once more. He wouldn't let the girl get to him, he was going through his plans to leave later blast it! She wouldn't convince him to stay with those googly eyes of hers!

Without meaning to, Switch's wanderings had led her to more settled areas, not just those of the town, but the sprawling farmland beyond. Perhaps it was inevitable. Naturally shy of humans, she searched for a way around; she was not quite ready to head back the way she came. But this was a farming community. Just when she thought she had found the wilderness she was beginning to crave, another homestead came into view. It was getting dangerous, and she was getting nervous.
Giving her immediate surroundings a quick sweep for trouble, she found a stand of trees surrounded by shrubs and underbrush. It was the perfect place to land and rest for a little while before continuing on her way.
She became aware of distant voices. One was distinctly human, but she thought she heard others. Slowly, she tried to shift her position into one she could see them from, without their notice. Were they approaching or wandering?
Orpheus Solon Sorry for the extremely long wait. Feel free to disregard this if it's been too long. I understand. :3
