The reaper ghoul--Terra tilted her head slightly, looking at the other reaper female curiously before smiling widely. "Hola! I am your speed date, Terra!" She was not a guapo male, but she was very pretty! And it was another reaper! "It is very nice to meet you," she said as she headed for the picnic blanket they'd been assigned. She had taken a few seconds to clean the chocolate off from her trip through the fiesta before coming for the date.

"I believe this is our blanket," she said, motioning to it before adjusting her skirts to sit down. She did it unconsciously, trained from years of her mother making little warning noises about showing too much flesh. "Do you enjoy Scarentines?" she asked. "I have enjoyed it very much, so far!"

"I have been to the cuddle place!" Terra said. "And looked at the others. I signed up here and watched to see who was who for a bit, as well," she added. She was a bit surprised at being paired up with a ghoul as well--but thinking about it, fifteen minutes was just perfect to make new friends, not new boilfriends.

"The cuddle place is very comfortable! My friend Angeline and I sat in the pillows and ate candy." Which seemed to be a great way to spend a part of Scarentines, by the way she put it.

"There is more candy here, too," Terra said, opening the basket and peering into it. "I will need to eat something without sugar in it, soon," she said as she pulled out two cups and a bottle of soda. "Would you like a drink?" she offered as she opened the soda.

"Si! The cuddle place is quite comfortable with many pillows and music!"

Terra poured them both a drink, handing one of the cups over before putting the bottle back into the picnic basket. "Oh, there is sooo much candy," she said. "I thought mi hermano had a lot of candy, but he has nothing compared to all the candy I have been picking up while here! But I do wish they would offer something spicy--do you like spicy food?" she asked. "It is my specialty! But I am sure not everyone likes it. Do you cook?"

"Ooooh, fashion! I must admit," Terra said a bit shamefully, "I am at a loss at what is fashionable in Halloween Town, I have been wearing my clothes from home--Los Muertos fashion does not seem to be the same as what is worn here," she explained.

"Perhaps you can help explain the fashion here to me!" she suggested, brightening at the idea. "It seems very interesting! There are so many different styles!"

She took a sip of her soda. "Oh, but now is not the time for a detailed conversation, when we have such little time," she admitted, frowning. "We will have to get together later and go to the maul!"

"I will be happy to teach you to cook some things!" Terra said. "It is not good to live off of creepateria food and fast food all the time," she added seriously. "Cooking for yourself is very good to do once in a while. But thank you!" she said, playing with her skirts. "Mi madre, she made me many dresses before... well, before," she said, fingering the skirt.

Then she decided to change the subject. "Do you like music?" she asked. "I have been listening to all the music I can find! I still very much like mariachi, but I have been picking up on all the different genres here! They are so fun!"

Terra hesitated, for several reasons. A sad expression lit her silver eyes at the mention of meeting her mother, but when the other ghoul asked to hear her play, she looked around. "I do not know--" she said slowly. "I can, yes, but it might distract the others from their conversations, and it is a very important time for them, no? They are making new friends!"

She felt mean for saying no, though, it wasn't personal! It was just-- "Rosita, she can be very loud," she admitted. "Austin--he is familia, he tells me that she is electric, like mi hermano's Desiree, it is a sound that resonates and carries. Perhaps after the speed date? We can go to somewhere with less people talking!"

"Rosita! Si!" She pulled out the weapon, showing it to the other ghoul. "I will admit, I was slightly confused when I first summoned her, but it runs in the familia! Austin has a beautiful saxophone that he calls Roxanne, mi hermano, Roch, he has a guitar named Desiree. They cannot talk, but they can sing as no other," she said proudly. It sounded like something she was quoting, but she believed it.

"But I am the only one with a pedal," she bragged. "It can repeat small parts that I have played while I keep playing! It is very fun!"

"Of course! All of the reapers on screevee, they have tall scythes that that do not make music, they are just scythes. I did not know about la familia and their weapons until I met them," she said with an easy smile. "I did not know them until I came here," she finished. "Oh, but that is not something we go explaining all the time," she admitted. "It is a very complicated relationship."

To say the least. Her "brother" was her nephew and her "uncle" was her brother--but she just smiled. "Would you like more soda before we are told to leave?" she offered.
