i haven't given my kitty any, but i want to because every time i make eggs, he is twisting around my ankles and meowing like he's never eaten before. is it dangerous to give him raw eggs? i know humans can eat raw eggs as long as they're pasteurized, so.... yeah, is it ok to give my kitty eggs?

"Raw eggs are fine. There is really no risk of salmonella. Cats can handle bacteria. You want to feed whole eggs or the yolks. Never feed raw whites by themselves. The whites have avidin which binds with biotin. The yolks are loaded with biotin so if you feed them together its not an issue."
got this response on Yahoo Answers, so yes it is okay.

oh yeah i wouldn't give him a ton of it. just like when i have tuna, i give him about a forkful out of the can. as long as he's not eating like a half a can a day he won't have issues with the mercury.
Dont feed him tuna. D: For the love of all things cats. You will create a tuna addicct. The taste of human tunas will over ride the cats system and they have the chance to refuse to eat anything else. Im not worried about the mercury. Im worried about you creating a persnickety cat.
Eggs should be fine. You could even scramble em if you wanted. smile
