Bix was a creeper. Ferreal. After becoming a 'specialist' he'd decided that it was his personal mission to try and connect with every ranged fighter in Deus if he could.. and that meant creeping around the buildings and fields and waiting to see anyone who may be carrying a gun or bow or crossbow or dartgun.. whatever. The albino was literally behind some bushes at the moment. It wasn't on purpose! He dropped something! Seriously! Right behind this bush by the training fields and closest to the door to the dorms. The super pale young man was pretty obvious and getting a lot of strange looks. He continued to act nonchalant and fake like he was looking for something so that he didn't feel as stalkery as he was actually being, and he kept his eye on the training fields.

That guy was really into his little excuse. Heidi had walked by and given the older Hunter a strange look the first time she'd passed him on her way to get some breakfast, but when he was still very obviously pretending to look for something in the bushes she actually stopped and stared. Uhhhh... "Are you waiting for someone?" Heidi blinked. "Or are ya just creepin'?" She raised her hands one after the other, literally doing the creep to demonstrate what she was saying the man was doing.

"NO.. what?" Bix turned a little red. "No I'm um.. I dropped something here." He scratched his head a bit, realized he didn't know this girl and then thrust his hand out for a shake. "I'm Bix by the way.." With another glance to the bush he considered maybe it was time to just let his ruse go. "Well.. maybe loitering? I've seen some quality creepers in my day and I don't think I fit in with them.." Yeah. Sure. "You new?"

Heidi continued to do The Creep a bit half-heartedly until the man introduced himself. She stopped then and held out her hand to shake. "Heidi. Good to meetcha, Bixy." Yup, that just happened. Heidi grinned. "I dunno, man. Lurking in the bushes with a really poor excuse of 'I dropped something' is pretty creepy to me. And yeah, I'm new. Only been here a couple weeks or so." And by the look of his coat heeee waaaaas aaaaaa...full Sun Hunter? This was going to take getting used to.

"Nice to meetya Heidi." Bix shook her hand heartily. He didn't seem to mind being called Bixy in the slightest. Seeing as his chosen name was only 3 letters, he didn't often get nicknames. Plus his weapon had a habit of calling him that. "Ahh ehh.. " he grimaced. "Yeah I was probably being creepy. maybe weird. it's definitely likely. Normality isn't my strong suit..." He trailed off, glancing to the training fields. "Honestly I just ot a new specialization and.. well I haven't done much with it yet. Looking for people to help out or.. at least train with." The albino shrugged. "You wanna train?" Without a though there was a flash and his bow appeared in his hand. He didn't know what sort of weapon she wielded but his awkward stalking had obviously failed so back to basics.

Ohhh! A specialization! "Oh yeah? Marcus was telling me about them. What's your specialization?" Marcus hadn't had one so she was curious what kinds of things people could specialize in. At the offer to train she blinked, her hand raising to brush her fingers against the cuff on her ear that was Matilda's totem. "Uh..I gu--oh cool!" Heidi gasped and stepped back, admiring the bow in Bix's hands. "Yours is way bigger than mine."Heidi kept a surprisingly straight face for that.

Bix opened his mouth, held up a finger, turned red, then fished for his cell phone. "Please repeat that loudly, clearly and into this microphone." He stared at her a moment, laughed, and then stuffed it back away as his joke ran it's course. "I'm Ranged Tactical specialist though Allan gave me a way longer sparklier name but I forgot it." He glanced at Heidi then his bow and then back again. "Soooooo.. where's yours? I'm like.. really into super weapons... LIKE REALLY INTO THEM." He whispered weirdly before snorting a laugh.

Heidi was about to repeat whatever Bix wanted for her, an amused grin on her face, but he put it away before she could. Ranged Tactical specialist? Perfect! "Who's Allan?" Was this someone she needed to know? When asked where her bow was she blinked. Eh? Uh. Oh. Her bow..right... How.. "I gotta summon it, right?" She thought nothing weird of Bix's enthusiasm. Everyone had their quirks. Instead she was busy holding her hand out in front of her and flexing and clenching her hand, staring at it. Weapon. Wwwwweapon.. Bowwwww.. Maaaaaatilda..! Weapon. Finally Matilda laughed and summoned herself, the bow settling in Heidi's desperately reaching hand. "Looks like a recurve bow. It's kinda cool. It's even got blades on it so I guess if someone comes too close I can smack 'em with it. WHAM!" She held the bow on one end with bow hands and swung it like a baseball bat with a laugh. Matilda didn't seem impressed.

"Allan!" Bix said his name again, more emphatically, as if she should know. "He's the uh.. sun lead? Orange hair.. kinda crazy but in a good way? Giant sword, lives mentally in Bleach land and can just make portals and kick a** like no tomorrow?" Bix lubbed Allan. So much. <3<3 He shook his head in disbelief as she further seemed to have trouble summoning the weapon. "You'll... get used to it eventually." He eyed it up and down, eyes getting bigger and sparklier by the second. He really was a dork for weapons and a super dork for bows now that he was adept with his own. "Wow this is like... real Deus-y." Was that a proper term? "Glowy and runey and blue and awesome.." He grinned and nodded over and over with approval. "Sweet!" "See you are lucky! Yours came with blades! Mine was all feathers and stuff." He looked Mina over. Her feathers now had been relegated to a feathered charm that hung from the grip and the feather shaped blades at the end. "I can't tell you how often baseball bat ended up being default usage!" He grinned. "You wanna practice some?" He drew a glowing red arrow on his string a moment before sliding back into place and having the energy disappear.

Sun lead..lived in anime world. Okay, cool. She'd have to meet him sometime. Though he was Sun...was that okay? To chill with leaders not her own? Heidi didn't even know who her own division leader was! She should probably get on that. "Deus-y? You think so?" Heidi held out her bow and looked it up and down, feeling a sense of pride when Bix called it awesome. Yeah...her bow was pretty awesome, huh? It wasn't as large as Bix's but size didn't always matter, just how you used it. "Feathers sound nice! And yeah, I'd love some practice. I mean..I know how to use one but I've never used it for like...I dunno..fighting, I guess? My dad used to take me hunting and I would do target practice...I'm still just a beginner, though." She didn't even have any arrows. What would she do if she ran out? How did she get them? Was there like some kind of 'arrow allowance' archers were given? So many questions. So many questions answered by Bix's demonstration. Heidi's eyes widened and she looked down at her bow, holding it aimed at the ground for now while she drew the string and-- "Whoa! That's so cool!" A white arrow! Sweet! She released and let it fly into the ground with a giggle, pulling back again to see if it would happen again. Yup, another white arrow. That was so cool! "That answers my question on arrows though. Awesome."

"Yeah same here." Bix started to stroll a ways until they were nearer some training dummies. "I lived in the boonies so my dad was always trying to get us out hunting. Bows weren't exactly my specialty.." He fired a arrow at the dummy, sticking it in the bulbous torso where it popped and singed the material. "But at least you have a little bit of experience." He glanced over to Heidi and nodded with a smile, "What good is a magic weapon that needs ammo? Even the guns don't need bullets. We've got hand guns and shotguns and bazookas.. crossbows.." he shrugged. "Running out of ammo would just get you killed." After a moment he made an unsure noise, "Ah.. so my specialization thing is kind of new. I'm thinking I should start a training group for ranged weapons but..." Another noise of uncertainty. "Well anything in particular you think you'd like to work on?"

Heidi laughed. "I grew up in Rhode Island, in a teensy weensy village town surrounded by forests. Was pretty nice. And I'm not saying they're, like, my specialty...just..y'know...I at least know how to use one. Aim and accuracy are another thing entirely."When asked what she wanted to work on she hummed and looked down on her bow. "Whatever you think is best. You've been here longer, you know better than I do what I'll be up against...what would you recommend?"

"Ah well different parts of the country but doesn't sound so different than me." Bix ruffled his own hair a second. "Everyone in the town knows your business, prom king and queen end up married with a kid a year after high school, gotta drive to get just about anywhere.." Bix grinned. "You either stay forever or leave forever as soon as you have the chance. At least for me.." He didn't have the best memory of home except for his own family. "Well with the bow. You'll get better. If you need pointers let me know but.." He waggedhis finger very seriously. "there's a few things you definite should work on before you get stuck in a shitty situation." His fingers shot up, "Firing on the move and knowing what to do in close quarters." Bix rushed the dummy ahead of him and his hands shifted to grip his bow like a staff. He slammed the shaft into the dummies face and then swung one of the bladed ends to slash the foe. He turned to comment but did it just a second too soon and the dummy bobbed a bit and slammed him in the back. He had not been expecting it and ended up looking not so cool when he stumbled and almost fell. "Not.." he was red now, advancing back to her with a sheepish face, "the best example."

"Pretty much! Though my town was small enough that you could walk from one end to the other and back again before dinner. It was cute, I liked it." She shrugged. It was a quaint little town, she liked it a lot, but all good things must come to an end? She had to grow up and move on eventually, she just did it sooner than expected.
And with less warning.
So, firing on the move and close quarters. That was definitely something she would have to work on aside from her actual aim. Heidi looked down at her bow before she watched Bix go to down on a dummy. Hold it like a club, smack, done.
...Oh. And move.
She snorted and put a hand over her mouth. No laughing. No laughing.
"It's okay. I got the point. It was still a good example. Do you want me to try that first then?"

"Well you don't have to.." Bix was still a bit red with his embarrassment as he jogged back close. He grinned awkwardly. "We can just stick with aiming. And shooting." He patted her shoulder a bit and then pointed at the dummy, still slightly bobbing. "Go ahead."
