Waking to look around her Peren smiles at the figures of her family, some awake, some just waking now. Looking out at Koray, his usual boisterous self she knew it would do the foals good to get out and meet more of the herd "Afternoon everyone, shall we make our way to for a waking drink?" It was good to keep them active, and Charger was wonderful with all of them, this would either give him a well deserved break or help him expand on his socialization of his own with their herd.Koray was bouncing from here and there, he didn't much like sleep, what was fun about sleep? At his mothers suggestion he nodded and began to trot in a circle eagerly waiting his brothers and sisters response so they could go!

Dusty blinked wider awake at the sound of his mothers voice. He supposed it was time to get up for the day...well night...whatever. He smiled at his mother and levered his legs up to greet her and the new day. He nosed her affectionately.Charger had been awake for hours, like always, he was quietly waiting outside for his family to wake and also keeping watch. Charge's protective urges seemed to have skyrocket lately and he was wary of anything off coming near his mate of his new children. He stuck his head in to smile at his babies and his mate. "Come on, get up kids, lets go have some fun." Noir lay quietly not far off from charge in a comfy clump of grass. He was often up when Charger greeted the day and was beginning to really like the older stallion. He was steady and caring and strong, all of which Noir wanted to be. Noir continued to stay where he was quietly with his thoughts as he waited for the rest of his family to wake and stretch. He wanted to play with his adoptive siblings but he was smart enough not to rush them.

Stardusk blinked awake and yawned. She looked over at her mother and smiled. She stood, stretching, then made her way over to greet her mother. "Good afternoon Mother." She said nuzzling her. She smiled happily at her, and then started walking around to wake her body. She looked at Koray and tried to hide a smile as she watched him. He was fun. Too bad she could never keep up with him.

Although everyone was starting to move and everyone was awake it wasn't quick enough for Koray his trotting started to get wider in circles before he branched off completely and headed straight for Noir. Whether the slightly older brother of his liked it or not Koray leaned down to nudge him up, if it was because he was younger, or just not as smart he didn't have anywhere near his older brothers patience.
Just as she'd spoken the words she was elated at the response from her entire family, it felt like only last moon cycle she had been a foal. Even though realistically she knew it had been quite some time, as her slightly larger Elder form would prove. As both Dusk and Dust showed their affections she was quick to return it with a nuzzle of her own, with them greeted in the motherly fasion she shifted forward to nuzzle her mate. Just because they had foals didn't mean she intended for their relationship to get sidelined, oh no and she'd sneak every opportunity to show him just how much she loved and appreciated him if she could!
"As your father said up we get, we may be lucky enough to catch both the day and night walkers at this time." It was early even for her, but she was determined for her family to fit in well, to make friends and meet family that she had staggered throughout her entire life.

After Dust was sure of his mothers affection he walked right outside to nuzzle dad too. He stretched his neck and back legs as he rubbed up against his father. "What are we going to do today Dad?"
Charge smiled at Peren's nuzzle and leaned forward to lick her cheek. If the kids caught him and didn't like it...to bad! She was still the center of his small universe. Kids or no kids...which reminded him. He reached down to nose and rub on Dust and answer his question. "Well first it's a drink and food, maybe after you can talk your siblings into a game."
Noir turned his head and smiled at Koray when he reached him and started nosing at him. Gracefully Noir got to his feet and nosed Koray back, a big grin on his face. "Hello Koray." He walked over to his family and smiled up at Charger and Peren. "Finally, everyone is up."

Stardusk smiled as her mother nuzzled her back, after that, she went and nuzzled her father. "Hello Daddy!" She said happily. She loved her parents very much. She watched as Noir came forward. She smiled at him as well. "Hello Noir!" She loved all her brothers a lot, and would do anything for him. She watched her father kiss her mother and giggled. Silly parents!

Smiling at the response of Noir he was quick to follow over and circle around the twins nuzzling them then his mother and father in a hasty fashion. Then he was behind Stardusk nudging at her rear, yup Koray most definitely held no form of patience yet.
Letting out a giggle at the lick she smiled at her mate, he was so wonderful and she felt like the luckiest mare on the planet to have him and the kids! Though at that moment she wanted nothing more than to sneak off with him she knew the foals wouldn't wait, especially Koray, it was time to start making a move and quench their waking thirsts. So trotting out of their sleeping cove (which was getting a little cramp with all the bodies) she waited for them all to follow to set off the short distance to the main herd water hole.

Stardusk blinked as she was nuzzled-ninjaed by a blur of purple and orange, and then felt someone nudging her rear end. She nearly jumped a mile, squealing in surprise! "KORAY!" She squealed. She turned to glare at him, "You shall pay for that!" At this point, she was in a playful mood. She smiled with evil sisterly intent, then tried to glomple-tackle him.

Laughing out loud he was quick as a rabbit out and avoiding his sisters glomp, sprinting out of the cove and out towards the water hole, now they'd have to follow and keep up!
Peren resisted the urge to roll her eyes, she was so blessed with her mature little foals with the patience of saints... apart from Koray who seemed only to stop when he lay to sleep. Which not even she caught most of the time, should she be worried he seemed to sleep less than even her? Regardless right now she was pretty sure her daughter was about to give chase to the cheeky Koray and that was her cue to keep up with them!

Dust was watching and laughing at his siblings when he ran to follow. "Hey you guys, wait up!" With a big grin he kicked up his heels and followed a few steps behind his twin.
"Well than honey, it appears they've made the decision for us. Let's go." He grinned as he trotted after his foals. He watched three back as he followed and was exceedingly proud of them. All three were glossy and gorgeous, including Koray with his unusual red wings. But he knew that he'd have to convince Peren to have more. None of them had ended up looking trully like them and he wanted a little girl that looked just like her and a child to pass on his coloring. Maybe it was vanity but he didn't think it was undue for him to dream of a big family born from his love for his mate.
Noir watched quietly as his siblings surged into a game of chase, he would never catch up to them. He was more graceful but he was definitely made for flight and not running. "When do I get to learn to fly mom?" He pipped up to Peren to ask as he followed his parents. "I'll never keep up with them until I can."

Like a missile with a target Koray headed straight into the water with his strides as long and as powerful as possible for a foal he kicks up a hail of water to fly everywhere. He wasn't a spiteful boy, he just loved to play and he expected and hoped to received just as much as he gave.With Charger on the three foals tails she let out a sigh of relief as she kept pace with Noir, she wanted so much to give them all individual time and attention but as a first time mum with four she couldn't help but admit to herself it was a little overwhelming. Peren had heard of Nannies within the herd but it didn't feel right, she and Charger could do this, they where their children and it would get easier as they grew older and gained independence... right?
"I have a feeling even when you can use your wings they will not assist in keeping up with those three." With her usual smile she peered to Noir as they walked "But not too much longer, as you grow and gain strength you can start to practise. One day with a good breeze before you know it you'll be up in the air." When was the last time she flew? The prospect of helping Noir learn exhilarated her... yet considering Koray in the skies did nothing for her nerves.

Dust was more cautious about the water and slowed to a walk when then reached the main water hole to wade in slowly. He realize he was indeed thirsty once it was up to his knees and bent to slake his thirst. Dad was right about needing ater and food before play because he could feel his tummy rumbling now.
Charger had already eaten and had a drink. So he'd gathered a small pile of leaves and flowers to agment his the grass his family would graze on. Noir had helped him gather some on it...and fallen a short ways out of tree trying to fly. He grinned in memory at his adoptive son. Quiet and inwardly focused but still determined. Charger hoped he could help Noir grow into a fine young stallion. "I gathered a snack to add to our grazing over here." He called to his slightly scattered family and walked over to the pile.
Noir frowned slightly at Peren's statement. He wanted to able to keep up with them! "Maybe I'll just have to work to be stronger!" He pranced over to the pile him and Charger had gathered and leaned against his adoptive father.

Stardusk started after her brothers giggling. It was hard work being the only sister. as she neared the water, she slowed and started looking around at all the different rocks by the shore, wondering about the different colors. As she took her drink, she felt refreshed. She then went over to the food her father had gathered with Noir. She wondered a lot about the flowers there. She smiled up at her father and Noir. "Thank you both!"

Nudging into Noir gently and reassuringly she leaned down so she was on his level "My dearest little delight you are strong enough for us all, it is only your body that must grow, your wings that must strengthen. Then you shall own the sky." With that she nuzzed him gently and carried on towards the lush treats Charger had fetched them "A wonderful breakfast, my thanks too Noir, Dad." She suppressed a chuckle, would she ever call Charger by his name again or was he now forever Dad, Father?
With the grace of a hippo Koray submerged most of his muzzle and face as he quickly gulped up a drink then splashed his way out to go investigate the food. He liked food just about as much as playing, and loved the variety and new things he always got to taste when their father picked breakfast. Once he'd had his fill he let out a triumphant belch then grinned as if proud rather than ashamed of the gastly noise "T'anks Noir and Dad!" And then he raised a hoof, plopped it down on Stardusk yelled "TAG!" and was off like a whippet to avoid getting tagged back.

'Strong enough for all of us.' The praise wrung in his head and he smiled as he watched his family drink and eat, like Charge he had already eaten. "How did they know I helped Dad?" He hadn't said anything about helping because he'd been worried about the tree incident. He didn't want Peren to worry. He was fine, he hadn't hurt anything and Charger had been right there to check.
"Because you always help me Noir. And because I rarely let you out of my sight when you're up with me." He nuzzled the older but still young foal. Despite being terrifyingly smart, Noir was still young and needed love and reassurance. "Now, go play with you siblings."
Noir nodded at Charger and understood immediately that the reason they'd all thanked him for the meal was because they excepted him as true family and wanting to help his father. "Okay dad." He turned to go splash in the water and wait for his siblings to finish.
Charger nodded at Noir and then walked over to Peren, draping his neck over her back and closing his eyes. "Hey, do I get to snuggle without a body between us? Or do you want to do something else?" Despite the children and his responsibilities to take care of them he still wanted to be around her all the time and craved her attention.
Dust quickly munched through the rest of his meal and raced after Noir in the water. It was time for a game of take in the water hole. Yup, you. He splashed loudly up Noir and placed a hoof on his flank and yelled. "TAG!" ,loudly before racing away as fast as the water would let him. He knew, that at least in this way, Noir had a chance of catching him because Noir's grace gave him an advantage in the water.
Noir yelped at he cold hoof hitting his flank but quickly caught on the game and pranced after Dusk. Water tag was one of his more favorite games because it evened the playing field and allowed him to win every so often.
