 Satine was sitting about in the back yard of the house that her and Zeek had. It wasn't much but she didn't really need much in the way of anything. Their lives before they had eachother were both similar and full of moves and death and blood. She wasn't used to having something solid and permanent but she was adjusting well. Zeek might not be as well as her, she had a bit more family life under her belt then he probably did, she knew a lot about him but didn't ask too many questions about his childhood unless he mentioned something.
But for the moment she was waiting to see if he would be home soon. She lay back in her soft green grass and swished her tail about as she closed her eyes and started to sing softly to her self.

 Life was changing ever steadily. Zeek still did dangerous things he shouldn't have, but he was more careful. He had someone to come home with and finally the hope that they wouldn't just vanish on him. The feeling that someone didn't think he was a curse upon itself helped change his attitude a bit, and made him warm up more, but only to Satine.
Their new home was nice and a lot better than his old ratty apartment. After he was finished with his latest work he made his way home, being sure no one could follow him.
He was quiet as he made his way around the outside of the fence then jumped over it, spotting Satine lazing around in the grass. "Bored already?"

Satine smiled and turned on her side, flicking her tail over her hips as she leaned up on her elbow and smiled at her love. "Well when our off doing things and im alone i do tend to get bored now that i don't have someone to spend my days with. Maybe we should get me a dog or something...Any ways how was your mission and adventure!?" she asked with a smile as she looked up at him and grinned happily as she waited for him to get over to her. "I want to put a small pond over there. I think...with lots of lilys in it. Maybe a few koi. just for fun. I might start that in a few weeks." she said mostly to keep talking about something.

Zeek scrunched up his nose not liking the image of having a pet, let alone an obnoxious one. "No pets..." Looking over to where she described how she wanted the Koi pond that was alright with him. "The mission went well, no troubles at all. As for the pond, if you want it you better get your hands dirty for it. Besides you know how I feel about you going on missions with me, specially ones where they could use you as a way to get to me."

Satine frowned a bit. "A cat? Something quiet that i can socialize with and lay about lazily in the sun and grass? Is that better then a dog?" she asked with a small smile as she pet the grass next to her. "Come sit with me. And i will dig the hole my self and buy all the stuff. I'll do it and it will be pretty." she said with a smile. "Yes i know you don't want that happening. But also know if you make enough enemy's and they find me you might not be here to save me." she said softly. "Also why i wanted a dog." She said with a shrug. She COULD and WOULD protect her self of course but she wasn't working as much as he was, someone was bound to be better.

His ear flicked at the thought when he sat down beside her. "How come whenever I try to keep you from harm you find ways to make me worry more?" He sighed before pulling her down so she could lay her head in his lap. "If we had a dog I would kill it, I don't like dogs. Cats are to lazy, like someone i know." He teased.

Satine wiggled her head into his lap and looked up at him. "Mmmm What about an attack monkey! Or a large cat! Im sure i could get a hold of a tiger. And i have my talents with most felines. They all listen quite well to a fellow cat. But ok if i cant have any of them." she yawned and smiled. "Im trained to think of all the bad things. I have protection against a lot of it. But if were to eventually make a...real life and family here my guard might not always be at its best." she said as she reached up and pet his face. "I'll do my best to not make you worry."

Zeek petted her tail before arching a brow some. "You have enough tiger with the marking you carry. Besides, what is this about you wanting to start a family?" He wasn't to sure about having kids, his childhood had him worried enough on how if he had a family what would happen to them, would they be ridiculed or cursed as well? "If you can thing of an animal that won't drive me nuts with noise I'll think about it."

Satine laughed softly. "True enough i think. Im more fiesty then any tiger i know any ways." she said with a laugh as she wiggled her tail in his hand. "As for an animal that wont drive you crazy....Mmmm" She thought to her self. She wiggled her ears upon her head and smiled. "What about a bird? Or maybe a pet skunk? Those can be fixed where they don't spray. Or Rats? Would those be ok? I promise not to eat them." she said with a grin. She thought on the family thing and shrugged. "Why not? Were both stable. We love eachother." she said as she took his hand in hers and laced their fingers together. "And i think you'll be better at it then you think you will."

"Yeah I don't think an animal would work, specially a skunk, fixed or not, I don't need that scent on me, I'd be killed for sure." His ears folded back again at the though of kids as he squeezed her hand. "I'm just worried they may turn out cursed like I am. What ridicules will happen to them, the tormenting gazes..." He frowned, just the concern in his eyes could tell a lot on how worried this made him. "You think I'll be a good father, but how can I be a good dad when I couldn't really take care of myself to well. I'm from such a broken family. What if we start one of our own and it turns out broken as well?"

Satine frowned and sat up and climbed into his lap, legs around him and facing him as she touched his face again. "My love you will be fine. If they end up cursed like you in any way we'll teach all of them to defend them selves. And show them we love them no matter what if they have us and a kind home they will be fine. And how could we end up broken hum?" she asked as she nuzzled him happily. "You have me here. I wont let you hurt them or fail." she said softly.

Leaning his forehead against hers he still frowned thinking about it. Something that sounded like such an easy fix still wouldn't heal up the trauma in his life so quickly. "How am I going to hurt them?"

Satine frowned and nuzzled him. "I dunno. Children create different situations them selves. Im just sure you wont and if something happens i can fix it. I can just see your worried about it. And i want you to know you will be fine. Your thinking too much on your self. Not seeing that we are us and were different then your parents. We'll be good parents and nothing will separate us." She said as she took both his hands and kissed one then he other and then kissed him deeply. "I love you." She said with a purr as she nuzzled his throat softly.

"My mother had nothing do do with it, she tried her best to take care of us and keep us safe. It's what others may do that scares me." He sighed as he pulled Satine into a tight hug. "I know, you're nothing like those people. I'm sure if we do have children we can pull through. As long as you're with me everything should be fine. It just won't stop me from worrying about how I'm going to be a good or bad father."

Smiling at him she nodded and kissed him happily. "Do not worry. It might not even happen any time soon. But as long as your ok with it when it does happen then im happy." she said with a smile as she nuzzled him back and smiled. "Just be your self like when your with me and any kids we have will love you like i do."
