"Spin, spin, spin, spin," Buddingtonite wasn't crazy, he simply knew how to take some of the most minor aspects of life and find a way to make it bigger, more enjoyable. When he had taken up this new role as a Negaverse lieutenant, he was given a small, dinky little toy as a weapon, and while most would have looked at their weapons and scoffed at the very notion of defending themselves with it, Buddingtonite took his pinwheel and had tried to come up with some creative ways of combating the enemy with it. It was a fun game he played, as he laid on a bench, near one of the many, many bus stops in Destiny City. Which one? Who knew? He didn't care. There were no busses coming by this late, and most importantly, there were no civilians, or the dreaded 'Senshi' for that matter, at least none that he could detect. What brought him here or even how he got here was far from his mind. What was on his mind was thinking of the many lethal ways he could end a Senshi's life with it in its current form, and Buddingtonite was a very, very imaginative person. He was no McGuyver, he openly admitted- just because he could imagine it, didn't mean he could recreate it, but maybe with some practice and positive thoughts, he could make it work? For now, he was one method number ten. "Position it at the right angle with sunlight or headlights and shine it back in their eyes, make them fall to their deaths if we're high enough. Oh, number eleven! Seizure!" Yes, Buddingtonite was quite enjoying himself, though he was never opposed to company, whether it be an ally or even the enemy. He wanted to test out a few of these methods he was coming up with.

Still pretty much new to the ability to sense the energy signatures of other powered up individuals who supposedly inhabited Destiny City alike herself, Dallol was out and about, curious as to what the Negaverse agents Remarque had briefly mentioned in passing to her were like as she tried to actively seek them out on her own.
Really she had no idea with regards to how the aura belonging to one of them would feel like since she only had her own in addition to Remarque's gigantic one to go by thus far. Might have to go by the law of exclusion since any energy that felt similar to hers or the Eternal Dark Mirror Senshi's had to originate from one who belonged to either of their factions. He did mention that there was an option for the Negaverse to take her into their ranks if she desired to break her pre-existing ties with the White Moon, hence she figured that it would probably be beneficial to her cause if she could get to know them better, how their organization worked and the main driving force behind what they were fighting for.
Walking along the street, she felt a faint blip on her inner radar and smiled to herself, noting that it was an aura dissimilar to Remarque's and her own though somewhat similar in strength to hers. Perhaps someone newly awakened into this war quite like herself? Pressing on in the direction that the energy signature was coming from, she finally arrived at the bus stop that Buddingtonite was at, curiosity lighting up her gaze as she summoned her ladle to her hand before tentatively approaching, ready to strike should this mysterious figure with the pinwheel turn out to be one of the White Moon senshis whom she had been told about.

Now was the tricky part for Buddingtonite. He had come up with fifteen by the time he felt an energy signature blip on his inner radar, which was still something he was trying to get used to, and that forced the other five methods to the back of his mind for the moment. Someone was approaching him, but he couldn't tell who or what, except that it was obviously NOT of Chaos origin. Which meant one thing and one thing only. "So the terrorist finally decided to show themselves. Goodie! I've been wanting to try out a few methods on them!" The one approaching could have easily been a higher rank than him, so perhaps he would have to prepare for a tactical retreat, assuming he couldn't do anything to diffuse the situation or get a cheap shot in. Buddingtonite was an eager fellow, but not a fool. So, he brushed the dirt from his uniform and made himself presentable, before seeking out the energy aura and spotting the culprit from a mile away (not literally, of course- Buddingtonite's eyesight wasn't nearly as fabulous as the rest of him). What any normal person would have been attracted to was the gorgeous blue locks that hung from her head, the very edges seeming to flow like water with the wind. And he would have admitted that he was a little envious of it. But that wasn't what Buddingtonite was looking at. He was looking at her attire, or lack there of, and nothing, absolutely NOTHING could stop the rather wolfish whistle that came out of his pursed lips, as he demanded her attention. "Not many people can pull off an outfit like that. More often then not, one is begging to throw a coat on, but you? You're on fire, my lady!"

This smartass just said what..?!
Dallol couldn't believe her own ears when she heard the wolfish whistle and the pick up line that followed from the obviously excited Lieutenant the moment she was within earshot. No no no. Things weren't supposed to go like this at all in her mind. Well, granted that the Page was already acutely aware of how little she was wearing with the kind of weather Destiny City had during this time of the year, she certainly didn't need anyone to remind her of that at all or... or... treat her like a streetwalker. It wasn't as if she had any choice at all in her attire the moment she took on her powered up form so she found his reaction rather offensive and very rude indeed.
She couldn't quite help with the way her cheeks warmed and took on a rather attractive shade of pink at the Negaverse agent's greeting any way though that sharply contrasted with the dark frown she had on as she made a dash towards the man and swung her ladle viciously at the side of his head. "Are all of those aligned with yourself going to react in a similar manner without feeling the need to hold their tongue? Identify yourself, heinous beast!"
ChibiGingi Why do I keep getting the feeling that Buddy will start cutting up people's fukus into ribbons with his weapon once he hits his General stage? *shot* o:

There were usually two acceptable reactions to Buddingtonite's flirts. Any self respecting or self-righteous woman would have been offended and would have been more than eager to show him how offended they were, whether through a lengthy rant or perhaps a (well deserved) physical altercation. However, there were women who absorbed the compliments and took it in stride, and while Buddingtonite knew that he should have avoided those women, he still found himself drawn to them, if only because he loved a woman with confidence. In this occasion, it appeared that the page had a strong sense of self respect, and the attempt on his life with the ladle was a clear enough indication that she would not tolerate such actions. He ducked his head, missing the ladle but at the cost of her knocking his hat clean off, and he hop, skipped, and jumped back to avoid a possible follow up. Despite the attempt on his life, he was mentally debating if he should have remained on course (and risk invoking her wrath a second), or perhaps shift lanes and try a different tactic. As much as he wanted to pick a fight, he wanted that to be a last resort. His job in the Negaverse was to seek out possible recruits, and as much as he wanted to just grab the page and drag her back to wherever it is he's suppose to take them (he might have fallen asleep during that part of the orientation), he did enjoy the thrill of the hunt a little more. Okay, a lot more. So, he had to go about this tactfully, and the best way to do that was to take a step back and apologize. He recovered his fallen hat but didn't place it on his head yet, and he bowed to her. And his apology was sincere, to an extent. "I see that I've offended you without meaning to! I was simply awestruck by your beauty and the words simply fell out of my mouth without me even thinking! My apologies!" He hadn't whipped his pinwheel into a defensive position just yet, hoping that the apologetic nature of his compliment would appease her this time. He rose to his full height again, as he introduced himself. "Forgive my rude manners. I am Lieutenant Buddingtonite, and I assure you, I'm not quite like my colleagues, though perhaps I should endeavor to model myself to be like them more." baby_gwing ... you know what, I never once thought of that, but now that you mentioned it. That's my goal, get this guy to general and have him cut away at people's clothes! NONE WILL BE SAFE!

Tch. Dallol should have known that Buddingtonite wouldn't go down as easily as that. She might have stood a better chance at landing a blow on him had she chose to follow up her initial swing with a well aimed kick from the side or something, but alas the opportunity for that was already lost to her by the time she realized all that, the Lieutenant now situated well beyond any impending harm's way.
"Hmph... if you put it that way, I suppose that I'll have to accept your apology then." It wasn't as if she was the type to simply kiss and make up when something of this nature had just happened. However, she had no intention of coming across as an unreasonable and petty lady incapable of giving others the benefit of the doubt when they had erred. With a soft snort, the Page lowered the ladle she held to her side, the cross expression she wore on her face gradually giving way to one of neutrality as she took the opportunity to look the Negaverse agent up and down.
"It might serve you well to do that since not all of the female gender may be as willing to look beyond this little slip of the tongue on your part without biting your head off for it Lieutenant Buddingtonite. I'm Dallol, Page of Uranus. Are you on the side of the White Moon or with the Negaverse on the contrary?" She made no mention of the compliment he had generously lavished upon her awhile ago, the look on her face now taking on a more serious note as she got straight down to business in ascertaining which side he was on since that would determine her interactions with him subsequently.
ChibiGingi Lol... that will be like so awesome really! Not one male or female civi or powered will be safe from then on as a new scourge makes its presence known throughout Destiny City. *cackles* xD

She may not have seen it, but the moment she lowered the ladle, Buddingtonite gave a rather big mental sigh of relief. While he enjoyed a good fight, he wanted that to come later, perhaps if he failed to lure her over to his organization. No need to fight with potential recruits unless absolutely necessary, though why couldn't he just grab potential recruits and drag them before a General-King from the very get go was beyond him. No, they had protocol to follow, and for now, Buddingtonite would be more than happy to follow it in his own way. He brushed off his hat and placed it back on his head, and only when he was certain that he was completely presentable again, he addressed the page. "Dallol? They's a lovely name, though I will endeavor to not shower you with such flattering remarks since you appear to be the type to take offense to them. Nevertheless, it is a pleasure to meet you, Dallol." He wanted to call her Dolly, and maybe he would, if she'd lighten up. In response to her question, he answered with honesty, and he couldn't help but allow a little amusement to be heard in his voice, making his words light and silky in nature. "On the contrary, it would seem. I am a proud member of the Earth's top line of defense against the greatest threat it has ever known, though not many sing their praise to us for the moment. I am a member of the Negaverse. A pity, that they lured you in to their side first. We could have used someone with your vivaciousness and flair."

Making a good first impression on an individual whom one had just met was important certainly but to overdo things a little... Dallol had to admit that she wasn't terribly impressed with Lieutenant Buddingtonite so far. Putting aside her own misgivings about the redhead however, she supposed that they could maintain a civil conversation at least so long as he didn't try anything remotely indecent or suspicious.
"Flattery, like any other thing, will only be superfluous if used indiscriminately. But that's just my personal opinion if you don't mind, Lieutenant." She informed him flatly as she folded her arms across her chest. There. That should help get her point across to him.
If the Page was surprised at the stroke of good luck that had brought her directly to one of the Negaverse, she certainly didn't show it as she quirked a curious brow at Buddingtonite's introduction, a look of interest slowly spreading across her face at the same instant. "Not by choice I can tell you for sure. I'm not sure if you're well acquainted with the Dark Mirror Senshis but one of them - his name is Remarque - told me that I should seek out Benitoite of the Negaverse to learn more about rectifying this."
Stating the purpose for her seeking them out on her own initiative, she next pursed her lips together, pausing for a moment before posing the question that had immediately come to her mind from his earlier speech. "If I may ask, why is it that the actions of your... organization are not viewed upon favourably by the public in general..? Shouldn't they be able to perceive for themselves just who is in the right or wrong?"

"Very well, Dallol. Point taken." Buddingtonite gave a disappointed sigh when he realized that she simply wasn't going to warm up to his passes, and knowing better than to push a subject that he simply wasn't succeeding in, he straightened up and back away (mentally, anyway). If Dallol wasn't interested in that, then he would want nothing to do with it and make matters worse by pushing her away. Especially when it seemed that someone had already done a great job in doing his work for him. After all, he wasn't here to flirt, he was here to recruit, and his interests were certainly peaked when she told him that Remarque had suggested she see Benitoite. For all their disagreements and preening, Buddingtonite found himself respecting the Vice-Captain all the more now for various little things. Next time he saw him, he'd find a way to thank him. "Well, I'm relatively new to this war myself, however, I've had the honor of being brought up to speed by ones such as Remarque. And his advise is sound- there are few generals in the Negaverse that could help you with that more than General Benitoite," Buddingtonite said, his tone respectful and perhaps a little starstruck as well. He may have joked around, but there were a select handful he respected with all his being, and Benitoite was definitely one of them. He tried not to sound like a gushing fanboy, though, as he explained, "He was not the one to awaken me, but he gave me much needed advice. I could take you to him, should you wish to see for yourself?" He wasn't sure exactly how to make good with that offer this evening, but he was going to do his best to make it work in the future. For now, he focused on Dallol and her question, and a bit of his jolly side shown through as he explained with gusto. "You see, because our organization isn't all that well known. Yet. Much like this war, we work in the shadows, keeping an eye on Destiny City and keeping it safe from the threat of the White Moon. We're not looked down upon by society, simply... they're not ready to know we exist just yet." He tapped a finger to his chin, as he added in softly, "Which I'll admit sounds a bit shady on our in, but it's for the best. Keeps them safe from the Senshi threat, for the most part." Which also meant being treated poorly by civilians out of a terrible misunderstanding, but thankfully Buddingtonite hadn't come across that problem just yet. For now, he only had what others had told him to go on, and he wasn't in the mood to question them that day. Perhaps he could take Dallol with him and they could find out more together? He certainly hoped so- he liked a woman that was strong and respected her body, despite her appearance. "Do you have any other questions?"

Call it a female's sixth sense. The moment Buddingtonite decided to desist in his efforts at seizing every opportunity to shower compliments upon Dallol, the Page began to relax visibly in his presence though not entirely as evident by the ladle that she still held onto as if to deter him from lapsing back into his earlier frivolous behaviour. "If you could arrange for a meeting, I would like that very much please." She stated her request sincerely with a slight dip of her head.
Whoever Benitoite was, Dallol was pretty sure by now that he was someone with a wealth of experience in addition to being very much respected among those on the side of Chaos since, not only one but, two separate individuals had already spoken so favourably of him by far. And she had a feeling that they weren't going to be the only ones at this rate.
She wasn't really sure as to what she should think when Buddingtonite supplied her with the information that much of the efforts of the Negaverse with respect to the war was pretty much clandestine in nature so far. "Not even the police or the army are aware of your existence? Shouldn't you be working with at least their top brasses if the Senshi are deemed such a great threat to mankind to begin with?" She settled for a small frown and held her tongue lest she made any further inappropriate remarks on something that she obviously still understood little at best at the moment. Got to reserve her judgement till she had all the facts at her fingertips after all.
"Just two for now if I may." A pause to see if the Negaverse agent expressed any form of disapproval before the Page went ahead with her first query. "I can't help but notice that you have appended a rank to your respective names when you referred to yourself and then Benitoite. Does that mean that the Negaverse is like a military group then? What's the chain of command like?"

Buddingtonite wasn't quite sure what to think at Dallol's willingness to speak with Benitoite, and while he knew that he should never look a gift horse in the mouth, he couldn't help but pull as far back on the bridle as he could to get a deeper look. He was warned that those tainted by the White Moon Court and knights would be stubborn and much more difficult to lure in. This one was practically gift-wrapped to him! And as much as he wanted to just grab her and frolicking away, hand in hand, to Benitoite (or any General in the area), he wondered if Remarque's silver tongue was just that good, or perhaps, the White Moon was a much bigger loss cause than he thought. 'Note to self, thank Painite for reaching me first,' Buddingtonite thought to himself, before addressing her question with what he felt was the honest truth. Not that he received too much orientation on the matter himself but he at least had a good idea of why the Negaverse wasn't completely open for the time being. "Who's to say we haven't tried? Who's to say we're not attempting to do that behind the scenes as you and I speak. There have likely been attempts in the past, but it's always a matter of if they chose to believe us or not. It's a risky procedure, I'd imagine. If they believe us, great... if not, then we've exposed ourselves to more danger." It made perfect sense to him. It wouldn't do the Negaverse any good if they had the White Moon AND the US army at their doorsteps. Perhaps having law enforcement on their side would be the best place to start, and he made a mental note to address Benitoite or Serpentine about this. Maybe they DID have some law enforcement under their thumb and he hadn't been informed. Seemed like something pretty damn important to know... In response to her question, he pointed to himself, as he explained, "Yes, actually. The Negaverse is all about order and unity, and what better example than the military? I am a lieutenant, the lowest rank, and then there is Captain. Thirdly is the respected General, such as Benitoite as you'll find out. Lastly, there's the fourth rank, and they are referred to as General-Kings, or General-Queens, and that is the highest one such as ourselves can dream to reach someday, after many moons of work, of course." He had out much emphasis on the word 'ourselves' as he already considered Dallol one of them. "Lieutenants answer to Captains, Generals, and GK, Captains answer to Generals and higher, and so on and so forth. I've had the honor of being awakened by General-King Zinkenite himself! Perhaps the general will see you fit to receive the same treatment- you've already shown much promise!"

Ah yes. While it made perfect sense to attempt engaging the authoritative figures associated with defense and law enforcement in order to boost their numbers against the White Moon and their allies, Dallol realized that Buddingtonite was right. If even she herself had some difficulty coming to terms with what Dallol was on top of the war that many others including her civilian self had no idea of, who was to say for certain that these people would be easily convinced towards their cause just like that?
"I guess you do have a point there though I'm getting the impression that there is quite a sizable number of you walking among the city inhabitants at the moment. But it is always better to be safe than sorry." Why bother courting trouble when one had yet to optimize the odds of scoring a favourable outcome in this case?
Nodding to herself a few times at the conclusions she had come to, the Page began to look somewhat sheepish when the Lieutenant next brought up the possibility of her joining their cause if his superiors deemed her suitable subsequently, a hand lifting to gently scratch her cheek as she smiled at him. "If you will have me since my situation is presumably a little different from yours? What was your... awakening like?"

"As many agents as the Negaverse has, the White Moon has more, many more," Buddingtonite said, trying to recall everything that Zinkenite and Serpentine had told him and certain that this was true. After all, in his short time as lieutenant, he had met more Senshi and pages that he had his own teammates, and that almost worried him. "They outnumber us, and like us, they hide their true selves with a civilian identity, so they are hard to spot in a crowd. They wear a mask to hide their true intentions, whereas we are forced to wear a mask to protect ourselves and the people of Earth." He gave a heavy sigh, a little too dramatic but if it further fed the illusion, who would dare question his methods? "One day I hope we can remove this mask, but for the sake of those that can't defend themselves, I will burden it a little longer." Had to play the hero, and in truth, was he really acting? Yes, because he saw little need in defending the 'helpless', but if he didn't, then they'd lose potential recruits. He didn't reveal any of this to Dallol, and her question made him smile, as though recalling the fondest of memories. "My awakening? Why, it was invigorating. They did not approach me. I approached them and requested to join, after I discovered the war between the Negaverse and the White Moon. Even before I knew the depths of this war, I knew I was doing the right thing... better to willfully volunteer and be the master of my own fate than risk being killed in the crossfires, or worse, abducted by them." He left out the minor detail of Painite almost killing him, of course, but it only acted as an even STRONGER reason to join the Negaverse if only to have people like her on his side and not against him. He recalled the moment itself, and while he hid Painite from Dallol, he felt compelled to tell her the truth in that regard. "The awakening itself was painful, I'll admit. It was nothing like I ever felt before, but it didn't last long, and really, what's a little pain when you're doing the right thing?" A hand moved to his chest, recalling the feel of Zinkenite's hand reaching through and the sensation of chaos pulsing through him making him feel a little giddy, but he refrained from getting too lost in the sensation. After all, no amount of alcohol had masked that sensation, nor did he want it to. In fear of that causing Dallol's mind to change, he tried to comfort her. "Don't worry, though... I'm sure Benitoite knows a way to make it sting a little less. I'll ask him myself, but I assure you. The little pain you'd feel would be worth it."

"If those of the White Moon indeed outnumber the Negaverse and the Dark Mirror court by that many, why is it that they haven't launched an all out attack to take over Earth then? Surely it will be too easy..." Dallol was thinking aloud to herself, a puzzled look crossing her face as she took in the information that Buddingtonite was feeding her and tried to fit them together with what Remarque had already told her prior about the Order side of things and the war itself.
It was all getting to be rather confusing all in all for the Page and she found that with every bit of information that she gained from either Chaos aligned male by far, there were only more questions that came to her mind about all this. "I wasn't abducted by them and made into... this. It just sort of happened and noone else was there. Who are they really? If they are human like us, then why are they fighting you all?"
Her mind was much alike a curious child's at this point for all this were still very much new to her and now that she had found herself a ready source of answers to some of the questions that she already had, she took the opportunity to try to get as many answers as she could, knowing that she could always process some of them later if they didn't make quite much sense to her now. It was likely only a matter of time so long as she stuck with the right side and then found her place amidst all this fighting.
"I'm not afraid of pain if it's really necessary and I'm indeed suited to join the Negaverse. I take it that you know how to fight then if they didn't scout you out themselves?" Came her next question as a pensive look slowly crossed her face. If he knew how to fight, perhaps she could use him as some form of benchmark for her own current abilities, lest Benitoite found her grossly unsuited to join their organization? She did want to make a good first impression on the General if his opinion of her was going to be a huge deciding factor on whether or not she was going to be able to join the Negaverse subsequently.

It certainly made one think, as Dallol once again brought up an excellent point. Beautiful and extremely bright- Buddingtonite needed her to come back to the Negaverse with him! Zinkenite would reward him greatly for finding this one, and it took everything within his considerable will power to not allow the thoughts of what possible rewards would await him to consume him and distract him from her question. He didn't have a direct answer for that, as Serpentine nor anyone really enlightened him on that yet, but he could at least give her a bit of honesty and a good guess. "That's just the thing. They outnumber us, yet they hold back. Perhaps they are truly that unorganized, or... they're simply waiting for their Moon Queen's return before they launch an all out attack?" He was growing curious about this supposed Moon Queen, but he was certain that she was one of the few Queens even he wouldn't want to flirt with. Painite was at least on his side- this elusive Moon Queen? No, he wouldn't want to go near her with a 100 meter pole, if he could help it. For all the risky gambles that the lively lieutenant was willing to take, that wasn't one of them. Yet. Not until he learned more of this supposed Moon Queen. The second question she had actually made Buddingtonite curious, but he didn't want to lose his grip on her. And in truth he had no idea what this Remarque fellow had told her, so there was always the possibility that he was telling her conflicting information and that would turn her away. He didn't have ALL of the information for her, but he did have charm, and he was going to charm the see-through pants off of her (in a manner of speaking, since she didn't seem interested in that kind of charm). "Admittedly, I'm not sure of the circumstances that lead to your awakening and why it lead you to their side and not our own. Perhaps that's just how strong their poisonous grip is to this city that one no longer has to be present for another civilian to become affected." In a way, he knew he was suggesting that she was 'sick' or 'infected', but perhaps that's simply how it was? He didn't know, and he didn't really care. All he knew was that they somehow got to her first, but he was going to work his a** off to make certain that she was brought to the right side. "The Senshi themselves may appear human, but they're not. They're from space, from various planets in the universe, and while I can't exactly tell you how it works, General Benitoite would be more than happy to enlighten you. He's faced this White Moon threat time and time again, and he would be thrilled to help free another good soldier from their grips. As would I." It was hard to work the charm without sounding like he was flirting, but the fact that she didn't immediately arm her ladle thus far told him that he was doing a decent enough job thus far. He may have been working on the charm, but his notion of freeing her? Genuine. When she asked if he could fight, he answered with truth, "I may not be the greatest warrior in the Negaverse yet, but I know a thing or two about fighting. A pity that I have this as my main weapon," Buddy said, motioning to his pinwheel. "But I suppose I must prove myself further before I'm given something a little more serious. Not to say I can't be creative with my little pinwheel. I already know you're quite capable with that ladle of yours..." So said the dent in his militaristic cap.
