Welcome to The Spot
Unlike many of the stores, The Spot hadn't undergone some huge transformation for the most commercially romantic holiday of the year. Sure, there were a few more hearts than usual, rose petals strewn across the window displays, and a touch more red, but the shop already catered to the romantic and lustful year-round.
Still, there had been decorations put up, and several "lovers' packs" had been created for those looking for both a complete night and a bargain. There was one for every type of relationship. Marriages looking for a little spice, the super-kinky, the solo-player, the polyamorous, and even beginning bondage.
Despite the back wall, nearly completely covered in sex toys, tools, and accessories, the majority of the store was relatively unintimidating. Books lined the walls and displays covering erotic fiction to the how-to's of various relationship models, sex acts, ethics, and gender, racks of clothing, lingerie, costumes, tights, and shoes took up space and provided comfort. There were games to be hand, from bachelor/ette parties to those of a more intimate nature, lubricants, massage oils, anything that one might possibly want or thinking of - and some which they wouldn't.
Beyond the merchandise itself, the shop also boasted several female employees making their way through the throng of cheerful [some blushing] patrons. Dressed in various apparel sold in the store [mostly corsets, though some wore costumes or more daring lingerie], they eyeballed the newly arrived to make sure they were of an appropriate age [late teens], though they'd only be ID'd at the register, before offering them a drink - champagne in a plastic flute when appropriate and sparkling cider for the rest and a quick explanation of the proceedings, along with directions to various sections of the store [including a table full of snacks!].
The mixer was now in full swing, with music playing and the sound of countless conversations, purchases being made, and some participating in the raffle for gift certificates for later shopping trips.
