I cannot believe the idiocy of some people. But hey I guess Hollywood is also to blame for this. But honestly people taking events fom 'historical' movies and taking them as the god honest truth of what happened. Then again I suppose the ability to actually read a book has left us so long ago.

So just as a favour to future generations please do not swallow the guff spewed for by the following movies...

Titanic
Pearl Habour
Troy
Braveheart
The Patriot
Gladiator
Robin Hood (pick your version in doesn't matter)
Ghost and the Darkness

I'm sure the list can go on but I think I've made my point.

Has there ever been a historically based movie that was entirely accurate? No. It makes me even more mad though when people see one movie based on a historical event or era, and then think that they (using only that source) can argue about it, and that period of time.

I guess it's because Hollywood wants to make movies more "exciting".
There'll never be a movie based on a true event that actually sticks to the story.

Though the original Titanic (the B&W one) was a lot better than the famous colour one, because it didn't have all the Rose and Jack crap. domokun I saw it a long time ago so I don't remember it much.

It wouldn't be so bad if people didn't suddenly take cinematic fluff as hsitorical fact.

Sometimes it's difficult to actually get the whole story straight in movies however.

'should be killed' That's a little extreme
It's not up to you to decide who dies, so get over yourself. I agree some of those movies are crap, but it's your choice to watch them so suck it up. You can complain if you want but that's not going to change anything.

Good old Hitler...remember Austrians aren't evil they are just misunderstood.

There is always that conspiracy theory that he didn't kill himself but was captured by the russians and died in 1956.

well... it's all about entertainment.
and as long as my socials teacher still thinks these hollywood films are "educational"
i'm glad they're making them so I don't have to do actual work.
