He'd had enough. Lovers noises next door, across the hall, and sometimes from the room above. Echoing through the old boards that made up the Reaper dorms, and making a certain long limbed cowboil very uncomfortable. There was only one solution! Sound proof his room.
After a trip to the library, Mot was now in possession of five spell books, sitting under a tree with his nose between the pages.

Shun happened to be meditating in said tree when Mot arrived. For an outdoor location, he found that being in the actual tree rather than at the base usually meant he had a lesser chance of being disturbed... such as that one time the quetzal had began to bat him while trying to hug the trunk of said tree...
While he did hear something or someone moving under him, he didn't break from his meditative state immediately. When he did eventually do it, he looked down to see someone pouring over a number of rather hefty books. It looked like Mot too.
Furrowing his brow, watching quietly for a moment or so, then dropped down besides the cowboy.
"..Studying?"

Mot yelped loudly and fell to the side as Shun dropped down, having been spooked from his deeply involved reading. He momentarily turned to a smoky shadow in response, before once again becoming whole. He'd shadow shifted in his startled state.
"Shun!? No, well.. yes but.. I was looking for a spell..." He muttered while righting himself and his books. Crap! He lost the page...

Startling him a little, Shun kind of expected since he did drop down rather suddenly, but he didn't expect the other grim to poof into a shadowy wisp briefly because of it. He must have spooked him quite a bit there. Then again... this was also Mot.
"..."
The answer given by the cowboy caused him to raise an eyebrow before glancing towards the five books he had here. They must all be spellbooks.
"Seems like something rather urgent."

Mot coughed into his hand, his pale cheeks burning red. "Er.. yes, well. That is.. it is because of the...noise level of the hallways lately.. er.. well, not so much lately as.."
Mot picked up his book again, turning to the page he'd been on.
"Um.. aha.. long story short, I need a spell to keep sound from getting into my room. Because the sounds from all ajacent rooms have been.. indecent." He said this word and raised both brows, trying to indicate what sort of indecency had been abounds in the Reaper dorms.

Ah. That explained things quite a bit. And well... Shun did recall just where exactly Mot's room sat in relation to other reapers. The walls were.. kind of thin as well. It was the reason why he had looked into something to dull out sounds in his own room. If anything to keep things from leaking out. Furrowing his brow at this, he placed his hands into his pockets.
"I happen to know of a charm that you may be interested in. However... it works better to keep sound in. Rather than sound out," he said with a light shrug.

"Keeps sound in.. but not out? But that doesn't help me at all." Mot frowned, shoulders sagging. "I'm not the one making noise. I need something to stop all the outside noise from getting IN. Outside of sound proofing everyone ELSE's rooms, I'm out of ideas.."

"Who's to say you can't soundproof their rooms?" Shun asked with a shrug, "I'm sure there's a number of different ways to go about it, especially if you're that desperate."

Mot's book slammed closed. "Shun... I may just be that desperate." He sighed heavily at his own desperation and placed the book onto the pile.
"I have a hard enough time sleeping on a good night let alone when... well." He got the point. "And what if my ghoulfriend stays over and hears it all? My nemesis is bedding my ex-ghoulfriend in the next room over. Awkward, Shun! Awkward!" He hands raised up dramatically.
"They're... so loud." He shuddered and hunched his shoulders, eye twitching.

Shun furrowed his brow again. There were some new bits of information seated in what Mot just said that he hadn't been aware of before.
1)Mac is with Hel? 2).... Mot has a girlfriend again? 3)Mac is with Hel?
When the ******** did that happen. Why the hell did people he like keep hooking up with Mac anyway? He was going to murder him one of these days after all. The Reaper placed his hand to his forehead for a moment as he took this in, before letting out a breath.
"Alright. We'll be breaking into their rooms to apply it then. I think I have a few extra slips of that charm in my own room."

"For real? You'll help me out? To be honest I don't think I could ever have the guts to sneak into someone's room.. but.." As he stated, he was desperate. And with Shun's help, they may just pull it off.
Mot gathered his books and got to his feet. "Okay then. Let's plan!"

The Reaper paused for a moment, thinking this over. Yes, he should have figured that Mot might have some reservations on breaking into another person's room.
"You wish to become a boogeyman, right? Think of it as training for planting bugs in a suspect's domain."
He paused again and looked at him critically. He couldn't really believe he had suggested that, but he wanted to make one thing clear.
"If you ever do that to me, you're dead," he said lowly, then turned to head back to the reaper dorms. Once in his room, he sifted around for the moment before managing to find one of the charms.
"I only have one right now. So pick a room."

Mot chuckled nervously. "Right, right.." What sort of horrid things did Shun do anyway? He didn't want to know. he knew the mafia was involved and that was bad enough.
Mot dropped off his books in his room before meeting Shun back in his own room. He leaned on a wall as he pondered his priorities. "Well.. Mac's room hasn't been too bad lately. But on the whole when it IS noisy, its the worst to deal with." His poor, achey breaky heart. He had a new flame, but it didn't make that sting go away. Dark and heartbreaking reminders screaming from next door.
"Freya's room is more consistently noisy. What do you think?"

Nodding quietly, Shun thought for the moment to consider the options. Yes, he had to imagine it would be rough having to hear your ex crying out the name of another man... especially one you despised. It wasn't something he had experience with, but he would be... very unhappy if something like that were to happen with Mitsu.
"I believe I recall seeing Freya's windows open most of the time. It would be simpler to tackle her room first. Since Mac has been relatively quiet, it would also be more effective this way. We can deal with his room another time, if and when things do get loud once more."
He also still couldn't really believe Hel was with him. She could certainly do better. At least for now, he didn't suspect that she was the one Mac had cheated with, given the amount of time that had passed, or else he would be incredibly disappointed in her right about now.
Making his way to the window, he opened up and peered on down to try and find Freya's room.

Shun was good with tactics and the like. Mot was glad he was so reliable for things like that. Mot followed after him, keeping a foot or two away as Shuns surveyed their options.
"You're good at scaling walls, then? I certainly have never tried it..."
