"...add the coffee beans to the mix and... bake? Hm..." Mot stood in the halls of the confectionary store, an open magazine in one hand, and a shopping basket in the other. The latter was full with ingredients for baking, and crafts for card making. Perhaps he was preparing something for a special someone?

A dark shadow loomed behind Mot, wriggling and writhing closer..and closer...until a pair of glowing green eyes from within the dark shadow peeked around the boil's shoulders, wide and curious. Oooh, a coffee cake! That sounded yummy. "Aw, Mot. You don't have to go through so much trouble for me~." Junko teased affectionately, grinning up at the boil.

Mot idly swatted the air lightly, thinking a bug or something had swished past him until his hand grazed... hair? The voice had him looking down to see glowing green eyes and darkness all around.
"EEYAAAH!!" Mot yelped, hopping back a step and accidentally dropping the magazine. "Yikes! Junko, you frightened me!" Mot gasped, holding his heart.

Junko giggled and stepped back away from Mot as he yelped and jumped, kneeling down to pick up the magazine and flip through it. Her hands were free, her hair held the handle of a basket of ingredients to make various chocolate treats. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." Liar. She smiled, offering him the magazine back. "It's been so long since I saw you! I wanted to surprise you~. I guess this keeps you on your toes though, yeah?" Silly Mot. You needed to be on alert if you wanted to be a boogeyman! Obviously.
"I didn't know you could bake! Who's the cake for?"

Mot chuckled and took his magazine back when she handed it back. "Well you succeeded. I suppose I really need to keep on my toes."
"I've not really baked before... not much, anyway." Mot blushed and smiled bashfully. "Its for my ghoulfriend, Gene. We both love coffee, so I thought a coffee cake and some chocolate covered espresso beans would be a lovely gift."

Oh...he'd never really baked before and he was doing this? Well, okay. Junko blinked, tilting her head to one side as Mot blushed. Oooh~? Who was it for who was it for! "Ghoulfriend?" She gasped, clapping her hands. Gene! She knew Gene! Kind of. She'd met her once but hadn't really had a chance to hang out with her at all since, but she'd seemed like a nice enough ghoul! Oh, she was glad! Mot was such a lovely boil. "I'm so glad to hear that! I'm making chocolates for everyone. I didn't know you loved coffee, I'll see about adding some to the ones for you now~." Helpful information was helpful.
It wasn't often Junko splurged on things that wouldn't profit her monetarily, not out of selfishness but simply because she couldn't afford to, but these chocolates needed to be quality. Homemade but not cheap tasting. Scarentine's was a special exception to her spending rule.
Hm...if he was making a cake and chocolate covered beans for his ghoulfriend he would want it to be perfect, right? Gene would probably love anything Mot presented her with but... "If you'd like, I can help you with your cake! I could probably use some help making all these chocolates too, my list is kinda long." Teamwork!

"Really? Ahaha, I've become rather infamous for it, honestly." Mot and his coffee. Coffee as black as a demon's soul. "You're making some for me too?" Mot's eyes almost widened into saucers. "Awwwww~ That is just so sweet of you. Thank you!" He nearly sparkeld with gratitude. He didn't really like sweets, but if it involved coffee, he could handle it.
"Then let's help each other! It'll be fun~." Mot smiled widely, happy to get some aid in his venture.

Mot was sparkling. That was new. But hey! This was good! Junko couldn't help but smile over how happy Mot was about her gift. "It's my pleasure! I love making things, and everyone loves chocolate, right?"
When Mot agreed to help she gave a happy cheer, throwing her arms up in the air. "YATTA--oh!" In the process of throwing her arms she'd smacked the basket in her hair and sent its contents flying. "Oops..um...so what do you still need? I can help you find it and then we can go back to the school and use the home ec room! I'm sure Miss Ginger won't mind." Her hair was already picking up some of what she'd dropped, snapping at her ankle once or twice to get her attention and make her step closer to a few things.

Mot breathed in sharply, frowning as the contents of her basket went flying. Oh no! Her precious shopping! He settled down once her hair got a handle on the situation, rubbing his neck with a sheepish smile on his face.
"Ummmm Just one or two things? Let's finish up our shopping and head there right away!" Mot said with a bright smile. "Aww. I can't wait to make this for her." His eyes seemed to glaze over as he imagined giving her the gifts. Would she like them?
Heeeee~

Everything was picked up and put away in time for Junko to catch the look in Mot's eyes. ...Waaaait.. Her eyes narrowed suspiciously. Were Mot's thoughts pure? "Uh huh..."

"No...you didn't.." The suspicious squint remained.
She was quiet for a long, drawn out moment...
"Should...should I.."
"YA NEED A MOMENT ALONE, BOILY?"
Welp. That settled that. Junko went completely stonefaced. "I am so sorry about Her."

A moment alone...?
. . .
"What!? Hey!" Mot flushed a dark red, his terra cotta eyes painted with embarressment. "I was not thinking dirty thoughts!" His grip tightened on his basket, the magazine crinkling in his other hand.
"I wasn't!"

Junko snerked, a bit of hair coming up to cover her mouth as she gave the boil a sly look from the side. "Methinks the boil doth protest too much." She giggled and finally reached out to put a hand on Mot's shoulder, giving it an affectionate squeeze. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding! Come on, show me what kind of coffee you like and I'll add it to your chocolates." She then led the boil along, leaving behind most all most all thoughts of Mot's supposed perversions in public.
They chattered at each other, shopped, paid and then headed straight back to school, eventually arriving in the home ec room where Junko emptied her bags and organized everything she needed to make her chocolates. "Okay! I have molds in myyyyy..there it is!" She found a box she'd hidden in the furthest corner of one of the bottom cupboards along the floor, picking out a selection of differently shaped molds to pour the chocolates into. Skulls, both adorable and 'badass', cats, hearts of different styles, all kinds of things.
"We'll multitask. Cake, chocolates and beans. They all take different amounts of time to make so...yay! Wash your hands and make sure all your hair is tied back~." As she said this she had taken several ribbons to tie her hair into sections to be secured back as much as she could manage; it was hard when her hair was ten feet in length and still growing.

So this was the Home Ec room. Mot was a little mystified at first, gazing about the oversized kitchen and wondering what sort of confections students made here. He made a noise of surprise when Junk spoke to him again, nodding and getting his hair properly tied back into a braid. He didn't want it falling over his shoulder while mixing, so he clipped it up like he used to when he was a Second Year. Luckily he tended to keep a small arsenal of hair ties in his belt pouch.
Not wanting to get his poncho in the way either, that was cast aside onto a chair to wait. Mot smiled, rolling up his sleeves and wiggling his fingers.
"Okay! I'm ready. I don't mind if we need to do this a few times either. I want them to be perfect for her." As such he would have to taste test his food. All of it. That sounded like an excuse to eat all the sweets, but Mot was not a big eater. Nor did he care for sweets. Even if he had to practice some more on his own time. For now, he had a good teacher in Junko.
"This is exciting~" Baking! How quaint~
