There was a knock at Xiu's door.

"SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKIES!"

When the baku opened the door, there was a close-up of a big head. Then, a boil appeared, shoved the head away and apologized. "Hiya Xiu, are you cooking? It smells so good!" AJ asked while pretending to smell the sweet scent in the air more. "I would like to get some help from you.......can I come in?

"Oh sure! They look good and smell nice. Thank you!" AJ picked one from the plate, it was of star shape. The serpent-dragon boil turned it around with a few fingers, as if getting an interesting toy, before he put the spookie into his mouth. "Em! They are really delicious! Xiu, you rock!" He gave the baku a thumb up while grabbing a few in his hands, and - tossed them all to the midair for the head to catch. AJ didn't even look if the head got them, he just continued to mingle with Xiu a bit.



"Oh really? We are counted too? So sweet of you!" He grinned to the baku. Oh Chocolates! Yep....that's why he came to ask for help! "O-Oh! That's awesome! If you don't mind." The grin was brighter and bigger on his face. "It would be such a good experience for me."

As the boil walked into the room, one nearby might hear "I LOVE SPOOKIESSSSSSSS!", a kind of vague bawling from the head, who was chewing the spookies in its mouth. It looked like it got all of them.

"Yep, we are friends."

Xiu's reply brightened the serpent-dragon boil up. Friends, such a good word. AJ didn't have any friends before entering Amityville, frankly, he was a loner. School life wasn't his concern, he rather took time to challenge creeple on streets. For him, having friends was a new experience and he had to ask, he enjoys it.

The boil came back from his own world when the baku called him to the kitchen, organizing all the ingredients in front of him.

So many of them.....all the equipment and - things he didn't know. AJ picked up a whisk and looked at it, then he grabbed up another unfamiliar one, as if he discovered something innovative and funny or when a baby gets some new toys. His eyes were shinning.

The wide eyes startled AJ a bit, he swallowed and responded. "Em....well...this is new to me...though I tried to make some gingerbread cookies on the Giftmax exhibit....does that count?" Yep, he did make some cookies, even though most of them failed. He wondered if spookies and cookies are similar in production. "Xiu - do you know - if the making process of cookies and spookies are similar?" He asked his doubt because the two things really look alike.

Xiu was lucky that the head was paying his full attention on savoring the delicious cookies when she swished her cute little tail. On the other hand, AJ, the observant boil took a good squint on it and made a gentle smile. The baku was really a sweet ghoul, amiable and charming. He recalled how the classmates in the school looked at him scarily, how the neighborhood eyed him with dismay, no one had welcome him so warmly. It's his fortune to meet with her. Maybe it was just because she didn't know his past, but the feeling in his heart wouldn't tell lies.

His smile got bigger when Xiu said she would teach him, he gave those tool a break and nodded affirmatively. "Yep, kinda stranger." His eyes still stared at them even he already put them down.

"I see, then I guess making cookies won't be too difficult?" The question seemed more like a confirmation against himself, AJ smiled softly but asked eagerly, "Shall we start?" Better start before the head get notice and step in.

Giggling at the ghoul's promise of an expert, AJ shrugged. "I hope so. I don't think I have a kitchen in your room though. If not, I can save a lot for the food expenses and took less part-times." The boil made a good squint at the head who gave him back an innocent face. Apparently, someone didn't even know it did wrongly. "AJ?" Why looking at me like that? OwO?

AJ poured the white powder thing into the measuring cup until it reached the highest marked line. "Into this bowl?" With a nod and smile from the ghoul, he poured it over and started with his next cup.

"It's much much better than my previous, honestly. I used to skip lessons but it seemed to be a regret here if you missed any class." He commented. "Also, Amityvile is much larger than my previous too! If not getting a map from a nice senior. It seems to have....sooooo many hidden fun for you to discover!" The boil widened his eyes as he recalled his journey of the Haunted House and discovery of a secret ceremony. Dissipation was not a big deal for him.

"Oosp." Maybe he was too excited to share his feels, the flour was over-throw. "Well....I guess my favourite is the field trips. Now, how should I do with this mess?" The boil had to finish his sharing quickly and asked.

How this ghoul can be that cute? "Yep, you are right. Luckily, the Creepateria here is rather reasonable, so don't worry. Or -" He paused while pushing his head closer to the Baku, eye-to-eye. "You want to take over our diet?" Too close, AJ, too close.

Having enough fun on Xiu, the boil went back on measuring ingredients. Why there are so many ingredients? He recalled the making of spookies didn't require that much, well, that's something he admired most of the ghouls. Systematic, patience and such.

"I think so? My diet is never healthy afterall, I just love it's cheap so that I can purchase in large quantity. Owning a big mouth isn't easy." AJ shrugged, he wasn't really care about what he eat as long as it's cheap. He grinned at Xiu's suggestion. "Oh! That would be nice! Though I doubt that I will have time to cook, I probably need to find another part-time." He thought of his poor empty wallet.

The startled expression on the baku's face really entertained the serpent dragon, he went back to mix the paste together.
