Several hours had been spent pacing and pondering in her room. Though it was far from unusual these days. Most of her nights were now spent in this manner. Star puttered about her feet as she made her way about the room, weaving in and out between them. Somewhere along the line she near tripped over the Fafnir, so she simply reached down and plucked the little creature up from the ground and placed it on her shoulder for the time being.
As the morning rolled around, she looked back toward the door. Things with Merope were... turning out alright; so to speak. It was a touch awkward still, but it was getting better. That's what mattered, and it did make her happy. She just couldn't shake the lingering doubt about the next meeting she had planned. It had been difficult enough with Merope, and though she couldn't say that's how Aymet would react, she wasn't sure. In fact, she didn't know at all how he'd react.
He'd never, exactly, been easy to read to begin with.
"Argh." shrugging a bit, which unsettled Star, she reached back and twisted her hair around her claws. Why these things couldn't just be easy, she wasn't sure.
"This is silly." she finally murmured to the perching pet. "I'm overreacting, don't you think?" Star simply tilted it's head at her and she returned with a small grin.
"You stay here. I'll be back." withdrawing her fingers from her hair, she put out her hand. Star hopped up onto it, and she moved over to place him on his actual perch, which overlooked her hoard.
With that, she turned and quickly made her way out of the room; mostly to keep anything else of hers from leaving with her. Once the door was shut, and she was certain no pets had followed, she made her way down the halls to the other room she'd not laid eyes on in awhile. She anxiously chewed at the inside of her cheek before reaching up and knocking at the door.
"Aymet?"
