It was coming around again; that occasion that called for a dress and fanciful accessories. To be fair, the tatzel hadn't recalled all that much about the events in the prior year, but she did still have the dress. Scarentines was something her peers celebrated and Levi wanted to ensure she was going along with the ritualistic practices as was proper conduct for these city folk.

There was also the matter of the boil. Reading her Teen Scream issue, the white-eared ghoul was reminded of the particularly important focus of the date. Sprawled over the brown fur throw on her bed, Levi turned to the next page, glancing at an example of one boil's devotion. The wereturtle had drenched himself in a burning hot wax mixed with piggleblood and essence of dead roses, mailing himself to his ghoulfriend's house and sitting out there for a week while the ghoul was reportedly out on vacation.
What a sweet thought.

What?

Levi's shoulders chilled, forcing the tatzel to close the magazine and roll to a sitting position. That was a bit of an extreme; the tatzel understood. However, she couldn't help but wonder what was in store for her and West. Rising to her feet, the tatzel randomly wriggled her boots on and bounced over to the demon dorms. Looking to enter the usual way, Levi tapped onto West's window, crouching on the sill and grinning widely with straightened ears when the wrath demon came into view. That magazine might have made Levi a bit excitable about planning something between the two of them.

Recent events had left West with quite a lot to think about, and while most of his thoughts were not unpleasant in the least, they were distracting and decidedly ghoulish, at least in his opinion. Like the ones he was having right now, for instance.

His thumb brushed the strip of photographs he held loosely in his hand, the faintest of smirks lifting the corners of his mouth. He had long ago stopped trying to deny the memories that had been created this time last year, and sure enough, they had slowly returned. Everything from her slap to his disappointment that some machine had insisted they weren't compatible had come trickling back, bringing with them feelings of helplessness and foreboding. He had never been very good at this sort of thing.

The boil's head snapped up as Levi's shadow cut across his room. He turned and grinned, slipping the pictures under a tattered notebook. West wasn't sure when it might be the right time to bring those up, but he certainly wasn't about to open a conversation with them. Remember when we weren't ourselves and I kind of got you a teddy bear and we almost danced... Hmph.

"Hey," he said as he opened the window. "What's up?" The urge to tease her about using the door sparked and fizzled. She would do exactly as she pleased anyway.

The tatzel ghoul practically lept through the open window at West, only letting go once she had wrapped her tail around his. Some part of the ghoul just had to stay in touch with West and this was as casual as she could manage. Considering their more recent activities, Levi fought the urge to force him down into a pinning in favor of discussing what she had come here for in the first place. Nothin' much. Same ol'. Maybe she'd pin him later.

Just, uh, well, it's comin'round, ya know. Folding her arms behind her, the tatzel's wheels creaked into motion, considering what words to use and how to best ask about what was sort of ghouly stuff. No, actually, it was very ghouly stuff. Want to do something on Scarentines? So hows about you and I do something on Scarentines? You got anywhere to go on Scarentines?

Scarentines. The rest hadn't quite made its way to verbalization yet. Levi waited to say anything more, examining West's expression at her mention of the holiday. If he reacted poorly, the tatzel figured she could say goodbye to the potential of a candy corn syrup-drenching for either of them. Not that that was what she particularly wanted or anything; it might have been a curiosity, but that was all.

It... was... coming around. What? He nodded, trying very hard to look like he knew exactly what she was talking about as his tail greeted hers. The boil couldn't help but brighten slightly when she finally named the holiday, partially because he actually didn't mind doing something for it if she wanted to, but mostly because he was glad she hadn't made him guess at what the hell she was talking about. He liked to think he would have gotten there eventually anyway, but even though he had been immersed in his own thoughts on the subject before she had arrived, there was no guarantee.

"Yeah, it is," he replied, trying to recall the date to determine just how close... oh, s**t. It was very close. "Didn' realize jus' how soon it was," he said, running a hand through his hair. "Not that I don't wanna... What d'you wanna do?" he said with a chuckle. And no, he didn't mean anything like that.

Thank Jack- he didn't laugh at her for bringing it up. The boil dressed well but, usually, West seemed to force himself to go to things like this as if he really didn't want to and an invisible critter was pushing him into them. If this was going to be like some sort of chore, the ghoul would have question whether or not it would be worth while asking any further about it. Well I was thinkin'- Like a beaconing for her touch, Levi watched West run his hand through his hair. Reaching up herself to push a few rebellious hairs on the inner side of his left horn back with her fingers, her palm slid down to cup around the base, thumb brushing at the connective tissue. Obviously, the tatzelwurm had found a new favorite place to touch the wrath demon. Quickly developing an even wider grin, nearly forgetting what she was saying just then, Levi bit at her lower lip and tugged her hand back behind her.

Right. Not going to be distracted. Gotta ask him.

West had asked her first, but Levi hadn't the foggiest of what to do. Last time, it was the school that had decided all the events, right? If they were to come up with things themselves this time... Whadda'ya'll do fer this sorta thing? Rather than standing about, the ghoul's tail turned, still holding West's, and Levi sat down at the edge of West's bed, patting down on his blue sheets for him to follow. Was it a bad idea to use the bed as their conference place? Perhaps; Levi couldn't object to the fond feelings she got from it though and thusly didn't care to do so. Do ya stay'in 're go out?

At the very least- Should'I wear somethin' special? That was part of the celebrations, right?

He silently hoped she hadn't said anything terribly important between poking her fingers into his hair and sitting on his bed because if she had, he would never respond to it. Ever. The boil dropped to a seat beside Levi, considering what happened to be her second question with a great deal of gravity, perhaps more than it deserved. The concentration he had been maintaining to keep himself from grabbing her or letting out some fairly ridiculous laughter was losing its focus, thankfully. West shoved his hands between his thighs and the mattress, just in case the impulse returned.

"Out," he said with next to no hesitation, adding something more when he realized how abrupt he'd been. "Could always get somethin' t'eat. Or maybe th' school's still plannin' a party'r somethin'." He hadn't heard a peep from the student council since Jericho had returned and all of that recent crown business had cleared up, but Riley and them could probably whip up something in time if they tried. To be honest, West's only real requirements were that he and the tatzel be in control of their own thoughts and that they have fun. He had always enjoyed going out with... her... the one or two times they had made a big deal of it. He wanted those memories gone, replaced by something better. The demon smirked.

"Y'don't have t'wear anything y'don't want to," he said. Yes, West liked to buy clothes, and as long as his parents hadn't cut him off, their money was Levi's. "Unless y'wanna shop. Are you telling me you want new clothes?" His smirk had grown, and with his last words he tugged his hands from where he had them pinned. It was his turn to ghost his hand through her hair, fingers lingering on one of her soft ears for a moment before he reclaimed them.

Hmm. Hadn't heard nothin', so I reckoned was every critter fer themselves. Levi eyed the suspicious manner in which West had chosen to sit by her. Was there something wrong with his hands? Or were they just cold? Levi couldn't help but look down towards West's sides, trying to see any reason why the wrath demon was sitting on his hands here. N' I'dunno. Just figured dressin' up was part'a tha'festival. But if it ain't-

Levi thought hard, trying to bring up memories of the past scarentines for some indication that what West said was true. She knew she must've seen him that night, but under what reasons and how were still a mystery. Weren't yew gonna wear somethin'sleek though? Like the last time? If there's a reason fer goin' shoppin', I guess I'd go. But if yer tellin' me I shou-mmmmmmmm The tatzel's words were lost in the ecstasy of ear rubbings. A progressive purr sounded, but trickled down into a silence when West took his wonderful hands back. In a rather demanding fit, the ghoul's head followed after the wrath demon's hands, laying her head in his lap. Cheek resting on his thigh, she sighed, silently waiting for him to continue before she spoke again. I remember everybody dressin'up. So seems like tha'way ta'go.

Levi looked up at West from her current position, only rolling her head slightly to meet his gaze. Yew offerin' ta'take me out fer some clothes? The maul was a fine place to be, but Levi was still nowhere near able to choose fashionable items for herself. If the ghoul was going to get something for such a special occasion, it was a good idea to have West with her for so many reasons.

Her reaction went far beyond anything he had expected, and West's hand almost rose to her ear again on its own to elicit more of a response, at least until her head dropped into his lap. No, this wasn't uncomfortable at all. The boil thought about it for another half a second. Maybe uncomfortable was the wrong word. No. Yes. No. Hm. It didn't matter anyway. He dropped his fingers into her hair, gently smoothing them across her ears like he did with Master on occasion. Really this was nothing like that at all.

"If we're jus' hangin' 'round together then we can dress any way we like," he said, voice low. "So, yeah. If y'want a big puffy hat or some fancy tail muff'r somethin', I'll come t'the maul with you an' get ya one." The teasing lilt in his voice intensified as he spoke, but its volume remained low. He said he would go to the maul, but he would have preferred to stay right where they were.

Eventually, however, he drew his hand away, leaning back on the bed and propping himself on his palms. "Guess we should go if we're gonna." The place was probably packed with last minute Scarentine's shoppers trying to be more human than most.

Nuzzling against his hand, following the motions to each stroke to lengthen the amount of time fingers lingered, Levi rolled a few purrs in her throat. Her smile could only be described as one produced through something like a satisfying back rub, complete contentment for where she was plastered visibly on her face. mmm~ they got'those? muffles? Levi had no idea why she'd need a tail muffler (wasn't she soft enough?) but they seemed like something fancy female folks would have, so the ghoul had to ask. If West really wanted her to have one...

..clearly his joke had flown up and over the tatzel's currently euphoria-filled ears.

Hmm? No. Wait. He was stopping; why was he stopping? Eyes going from dreamy to saucer-like in a matter of milliseconds, Levi pushed herself up onto her palms in front of her and out of the demon's lap. Oh. Well sure! Yeah, no time like tha'present, eh? West seemed to know what he was talking about. For some reason going right now would be preferable and the ghoul wasn't going to question the maul-frequenting demon if he said the time for going was now.

However, she was going to wait for him to physically remove himself from the bed first.

"Yeah, they do," he said with a half-resigned, half-contented sigh. "Dunno 'bout fer tails like yours though. Most demon tails're... you know... thinner gen'rlly." He had only been joking about the whole tailmuff thing, but since she'd asked, he'd answered anyway.

"Right. No time like the..." He smirked at her as she sat up, reaching out to smooth down a bit of hair he'd pushed out of place. It was an obvious excuse to touch her one last time, but she'd done enough of the same recently to make him feel less guilty about it.

"Just wanna make sure we have enough time t'look around," he said, sliding forward and pushing himself slowly back to his feet. "Sooner we go, the sooner we can come back here. Or go t'your dorm." It was only a suggestion.

Levi tilted her head for a moment, unsure if her tail's girth was an issue, but couldn't help but brighten to West's look. He never seemed to have issues with the size of her tail before. At least, not when she wasn't attempting to K.O him in a battle.

The ghoul chuckled, keeping still so the wrath demon could do what he wanted- move the hairs out of her face. OH. Oh, right, no more petting. Keke. Whatever ya'say, shoppin'boil.
The more the idea of their return sunk in, the wider her smile became again. Let's go'on n' do this then. We'll be'in 'n out n' back 'gain. Giving a stern nodding, Levi popped up from her seat, finally eager to get out the door.

Could do that. Already smoothing out the back of her boot against her calf at the doorway, Levi looked back at the demon, turning the knob to head out. Fix ya'up somethin' sweet too. It was definitely a bright side to look forward to after a shopping experience for the tatzel. C'mon.
