UNless they are given to me I name my animals after different foods. I have no I dea why XD
Chickens names are:
Lemon, Sugar, Noodle, Dango, Zazi, Churro, Potato, Fenix,Drev, and Cinna,
My cows are: Sauna, Raine, Ginger and Cream
Sheep: Lolli and Salt
Alpacas: Reau and Sesame

Cow: Ebi [Just because i recently re-watched Fairy Tail and a zodiac just kept saying 'ebi ebi' XD]
Sheep: Mareep and Flaafy, favorite electricity pokemon
Lama: Leon from Final Fantasy
Alpaca: Alma from D. Gray Man
Horse: Pegasi as in pegasus from sailor moon
Dog: Knight from Aboslute Boyfriend
Chickens: Chi from chobits, Neil because of well...neil, Chika cause i ran out of names and for my silkie...i cant remember

Cows: Domo because that felt like a good cow name. And Tsui after a friend of mine from primary school
Chickens: Penny because a friend asked me too and Peachi because I had just dominated life with Peach in Smash Bros.
Silkie: Yin, self explanatory if you ask me, but the real reason is my secret obsession with Yin/Kearsy from Darker than Black
Sheep: Mischa....I actually have no idea.
Alpaca: Alice because that's what I'd name my first daughter and Alpacas are freakin adorable.
Horse: Daunti because black horse = dark things like daunt. That's the connection I made in my head anyway.
Cat: Selle...although I almost forgot because out loud I just call it "cat." The nickname of someone I consider to be somewhat of a second mother to me, also a fellow cat lover.

OMG I forgot about the dog! My dog's name is Hamlet. I don't know why either. Its been many months since I read it >.>

Cows: Kirin, Delta, Joker (Delta and Joker were named from other video games, Kirin was random)
Sheep: Fluffy...because he be fluffy
Alpaca: Saya (A name I like)
Yak: Louie (first name that popped into my head)
Chickens: Corvus (one of my favorite names), Peep (marshmallow peeps), Mellow (random), Squee (named by my husband), Pompom (no idea why)
Dog: Kawora (made up)
Cat: Nails (Named by husband)
I did have a pair of chickens named Swiss and Miss. mmmm hot coco

A: really like the name
or
B: I let someone else name it XD

Yukiko (Persona 4)
Lina (...I like it XD)
Elvira (I like it too)
Cows:
Tifa (FFVII)
Yuna (FFX)
Celty (Durarara)
Yaks:
Auron (FFX)
Yuki (Fruits Basket)
Alpaca:
Xectu (Shining Wind)
Sheep:
Nyx (Persona 3)
Shiva (any FF)
Llama:
Izaya (Durarara)
Cat:
Mika (someone else named it)
>3 I think I've had a cow named Tifa and Yuna in almost every Harvest Moon except the one for 64

I named a majority of my animals after characters from the game Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective (great game, btw) ^^;;;
Cows:
Bell (Cow bells, lawl)
Lynne (Ghost Trick)
Beauty (Ghost Trick)
Latte (After, duh, a Latte)
Mooshi (Moo .. like a cow, lawl)
Sheep:
Kamila (Ghost Trick)
Memry (Ghost Trick)
Lacey (My mom named this one)
Whimsy (Idk...)
Alpacas:
Alma (Ghost Trick)
Mavis (Hotel Transylvania)
Llamas:
PomPom (After it's cute pompadour)

I like to pick animal names on a theme. This time its flowers so I have:
Lily, Rose, Fleur, Dandy, Iris, Bloom
etc..
I'm also a big fan of fruit names haha. I did however name my 2 pets (2 dogs) after my recently deceased pets Keeshka and Ruffles.
