Clockwork was nervous. He went out of his way to find the perfect clothes to wear, but he was unsure if his friend, Tristan would like the change, let alone remember him. He visited a few times, but became more and more shy around Tristan the more he got to know him. He wasn't use to this feeling. Taking a big nervous gulp he tucked his necklace under his shirt as he headed out of his home and strait to his friends place.

Tristan was in the Clock tower tinkering with machines as usual. this time it was a toaster he had obtained recently. but more and more he found he could not concentrate until he finally just pushed the disassembled toaster and laid his head on his desk. he couldn't stop thinking about Clockwork, he cam it once in a while to have his wings tuned up, and they would chat for a while, but he would always leave after a while, which left Tristan feeling unusually down. He finally came to the conclusion that he had feelings for the other boy, but he was unsure of how to say it.

It didn't take Clockwork long to arrive, once at the door, he did his usually, knock a certain pattern before sitting down at the entrance, but this time his smile showed how nervous he was. His mind was running a mile a minute, wondering how Tristan would react to seeing him clothed and not...naked of sorts... His face turned bright red just thinking about it. With a quick flick of his tail, he tried to cover his face.

Tristan lifted his head to look at the door, he wasnt expecting any visitors... he pulled himself to his feet and walked to the door. opening it just wide enough that he could see outside he grinned upon seeing Clockwork. he hurriedly opend the door the rest of the way " Clockwork! its good to see you again. Please, do come in" he said and stepped to the side so Clockwork could enter

CW gave a small nod before coming in, most of his uncanny blush was gone by now. "Am I intruding? I'm sure you would be quite busy by this time, so I was unsure if my presence would bother you or not." Looking away he slapped a paw to his face, 'yeah like that didn't make me sound a bit stupider than normal.' He thought to himself.

Tristan waved his paw " pssh, you should know i always have time for you. anyway, i was actually pretty bored, so its a good thing you came" he said with a smile

"Really now." He perked back up with a smile. "If you're bored, why don't we get you out of your home and into the sunshine, get some tea, coffee, um.... check out to see what the beach washed up? Though if we went to the beach, i'm not swimming, but you already know why there." He laughed lightly."

Tristan laughed lightly and began to reply when he realized something was different. he had been so preoccupied with being happy that Clockwork had come to visit that he had not realized. " hey, is that a new outfit? you changed your hairstyle too, didn't you? it looks good!" he said looking his friend over. Not that clockwork ever looked bad, but this was certainly an improvement

Clockworks nerves kicked in when Tristan noticed. His face was turning red again as he gave a quick nod. He didn't know how to explain why, even though he knew he did it to look nice for Tristan, he just couldn't admit it in front of him. He pawed at his hair looking down some. "T-Thank you..."

Tristan chuckled at seeing how embarrassed his compliment seemed to make the other male. " hey now, no need to get so embarrased, its just a compliment"

CW just turned brighter red. "I-I'm not embarrassed,..." He didn't know what he was, but he was sure in the back of his mind it wasn't being embarrassed. "Um, um..." He was trying his hardiest to think of the word to explain how he felt, but instead blurted out something completely different. "I'm turning red because when I'm around you my chest gets this tight feeling. It's not a bad feeling, though when i'm not around you it feels like my chest is sinking. I can't explain it, b-but I wish I could. I'm not use to this feeling." He spoke rather fast as his ears drooped sure he probably just made everything turn from good to bad, making himself feel like he was sounding like a complete fool.

Tristans ears perked up and he couldn't suppress a smile. he could barely believe his ears... Gently he set a paw on Clockwork's shoulder " i understand completely 'cause... well i feel the same about you. I don't know when it started, or how, but i care about you Clockwork..."

Clockworks ears lowered, the tips turning a darker red. "So, I'm not crazy or ill?" He sat down a bit baffled. It was a stupid question to ask or so he thought. Smiling he felt better knowing Tristan cared for him. "You're my best friend, do you think we could become something more?"
