The three roommates, Tulip the Venusaur, Cotton Candy the Flaffbat, and Tillie the Kecleon, were out at the local mall in Meteorites Cradle. Cotton Candy had a date that night and she needed some new clothes for said date. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. Tulip and Tillie were there for opinion and chatting purposes, of course. Tulip would most likely buy more than either of the other two combined, she had that habit. But they were all working girls and could afford it. Tillie, though wasn't that big into fashion, as could be told by her T-shirt and plain jeans outfit she always wore. Tulip secretly hoped she could convince the Kecleon teen into some clothes that flattered her thinness.

"Sooooooo..." Tulip started, elbowing Cotton Candy as they walked into the mall. "Tell us about this dashing young man." Cotton had been gabbing about Cupcake, her date, since he'd walked her home from lunch the other day. The only thing was that Tulip hadn't been around much to here it.

Tillie, on the other hand, had heard all about him and groaned at Tulip's request. "Whyyyyyyyy did you have to say that?"

Cotton ignored, or didn't notice Tillie's questions, and squealed at the thought of talking about the Eevee boy. "Oh, well, his name's Cupcake. He's an Eevee, changed like us. He's SO super sweet and he's cute!" She laughed giddily. "Oh, and he got us tickets to go see Haunter's Curse tonight! And we get to go there in a limo and we have backstage passes. Ohmygosh, I'm so excited!"

"Oooooo, sounds tre romantique!" Tulip smiled, ignoring Tillie's look of disgust. "Where're you eating?"

"Oh, I got us reservations at Che Bon Bon, downtown." Cotton was thankful that she'd remembered to do that much before hand.

"Not bad," Tulip had a sneaking suspicion the Flaffbat had chosen the restaurant. The place was known for its delicious desserts and not much else; and despite its name, it really wasn't that pricey of a place to go.

"Where're we going first?" Tillie huffed, wanting to get in and out as soon as possible, which earned her a glare from Tulip.

"It's up to Cotton, here."

"Oh, I dunno... What should I even wear?"

"Well, that's what we're here to find out, aren't we?" Tulip replied with another question. "We'll just have to look around." She shot Tillie another hard look before the Kecleon could say anything else.

The group of girls entered the store after Jayme. Tillie seemed the only one to notice that the frilly dress-wearing teen in front of them, but it wasn't her nature to point him out. She could, however, tell he was a boy in girl's clothing just by looking at him from behind... somehow. The other two girls were too engulfed in the chatter of modeling and boys to notice much around them. Tillie kept one eye on this one.

"So, we're going to need something not so bright in color, more grays and dark colors." Tulip was formulating a game plan for them. "Definitely need some accessories of some sort. A purse. Bracelets? Yeah." She was listing off things as they came to her. Tillie wished she would keep it quiet until she decided on everything, then she could list it in order and they could search for those items. Cotton Candy happily half-listened. Her mind was elsewhere. "Necklace. Maybe a choker? Hmm... we'll see what they have." Tillie groaned, she knew this was not going to be a short trip.

Cotton wandered over to a rack and absent started chatting incoherently so she could "see" what was in front of her. As she did so, she felt that someone was near. Looking around, she spotted a teen in a big frilly dress. "Oh, hi! Looking for clothes too?" She smiled sweetly. Tulip was still listing off articles, pacing slightly while Tillie watched Cotton's interaction with the boy in the dress.

"Oh! You can sew?" Cotton remarked, genuinely impressed. "I sure can't!" She chuckled. There was a short pause as she felt an item on the rack but decided against pulling it off for review. "Oh, are you looking for anything in particular? Maybe my friends and I could help? I'm sure they wouldn't mind! I know I don't!" She smiled sweetly.

Tillie poked Tulip three times as the Venusaur was still going over things they were needing for Cotton. "Cotton Candy found a friend." Tillie's tone was rather flat as she wasn't really enjoying herself and she wasn't sure what to think of Jayme just yet. She pointed to the Teddiursa, and Tulip stopped her listing to look.

"Hmmm?" Tulip blinked. The teen seemed very cute, but upon closer inspection, she noticed the gender of little bear teen. A soft smile crossed her face, but she hung back for the time being.

Cotton stared absently as Jayme spoke. "Oh, I know what you mean! It's so hard to to find things that fit right!" She kept smiling as they talked, but hardly browsed the rack in front of her. She was enjoying the company. "Oh! My name's Cotton Candy, by the way. What's yours?"

At this point Tulip came up to the two, nearly dragging Tillie, who was looking less than pleased. "Well, heeeelllllloooo," she announced. "My name's Tulip, and this lovely lady it Til-"

"Tillie, T-I-L-L-I-E, my name's Tillie." She held out her right hand to shake Jayme's, then her left one immediately after. Tulip rolled her eyes, but otherwise ignored the oddness.

"Oh, girls, I'm glad you're here, we were needing some help finding something." Cotton had turned her head to smile at her friends, but directed her attention back to Jayme after she spoke.

"Good bec-" Tillie started, but was immediately interrupted by Tulip, nearly shoving her over into a rack. They were quite the opposites in looks, Tillie was a stick while Tulip was on the heavier side; Tillie dressed in t-shirts and jeans while Tulip wore anything fashionable; Tillie was, well, flat, while Tulip was well endowed. It was odd that they were friends, even their personalities were varying.

"Nonsense!" Tulip blurted, pushing Tillie aside so that the Kecleon teen wouldn't say anything hurtful. She had a feeling that Jayme was of a delicate sort. Call it woman's intuition. "It'd be our pleasure helping. We just love shopping!"

"Speak for yourself," Tillie muttered, furiously straightening her clothes until they were to her liking.

Cotton Candy just smiled, "Oh, see? We'd be happy to help! Whatcha lookin' for anyway?"

"Yes, sweetie, was there something in particular you were looking for?" Tulip held a hand to her chin, the other on her hip. She was looking Jayme over, mentally taking in measurements and what would compliment his slender frame. She'd overheard nothing low-cut or too shirt. Her mind began thinking over different dress cuts and thought something along the prom dress style would be fitting. But, she waited, seeing what he'd like.

"No thanks," Tillie replied flatly to Jayme's offer. She wasn't much for meeting new people. Heck, she wouldn't have even befriended Cotton or Tulip if it weren't for Cotton's utterly irresistible kindness and Tulip's harassing.

Jayme's shyness was overwhelming Tulip's cuteness meter. She just wanted to smother him in a hug! But that probably wouldn't be the best, he was definitely skittish. Tulip smiled warmly instead and placed the other hand on her hip. "Well, you've met the right girls, Cotton and I just so happen to be model for the world-renowned fashion designer, Pepper Song." She struck a pose and the Flaffbat smiled, a little embarrassed.

"Oh, I'm nothing special," Cotton started, "I wouldn't've gotten that job if it weren't for you, Tulip!"

The Venusaur ended her pose and playful punched Cotton's shoulder, hardly moving the other girl. "Pshaw! You earned that all on your own, lady!"

Cotton chuckled, "Oh, if you say so, Tulip. I can't argue with you."

"Darn right!" she said, proudly. She always won their "arguments." "Anyway, back to the task at hand. You need something that'll compliment you physique, without being revealing. I think we can find something." She smirked.

One of Tulip's vines zipped out from around her flower and pulled the brown dress off the rack. "This one?" She brought it closer and looked it over. "It's not bad, but you're right, the color's all wrong for you." She placed it back on the rack and thought for a moment.

Cotton began feeling the clothes in front of her, trying to find something that felt soft. She hated scratchy clothing. She liked things that were soft, like her Flaffy fluff. She felt something she liked and pulled it off the rack and held it up.

"Not that one, hon." Tulip replied before Cotton asked, not even looking really.

"Oh, okay." She smiled and put it back.

Tulip snapped and Tillie winced. "Yeah?"

"Could you help us sort these horridly messed up racks, please?" Tulip sweetly asked the Kecleon teen.

For the first time, Tillie looked happy, ecstatic actually. "I'd love to!" And with that, she set to work. Her prehensile tail and tongue aided in her sorting. Tulip and Cotton looked on in amusement. In just a minute, the rack she'd set to work on, had been sorted by color, then style, then price. "This rack's done." She set off to organize the rack.

Tulip winked to Jayme. "So, partial to any color in particular? Lemme guess... pink?" She chuckled warmly and started to look through the pink clothes.

"Pshaw!" Tulip waved her hand to dismiss Jayme's fears.

"Oh, yes, we don't mind at all!" Cotton agreed, her voice genuine.

Tillie was too busy to answer, her OCD in full swing.

Tulip began pulling dresses off the sorted racks with hands and vines. She would hold them up to Jayme, and place most of them back from where she'd got them. When she found one she liked, she'd ask Cotton to take a look.

"Oh, just a sec," she'd reply and then give her opinion of yay or nay. Granted, she was only commenting on style and not color, but she was helping.

Eventually, they had a vine of of different options for Jayme to choose from. "Want to try any on?" Tulip smiled. This was her favorite part of shopping, modeling!
