 Uriel had been flying for a few hours over the land, surveying the world below. She wasn't new to these lands, yet they still frightened her. She's been alone for far too long, the prisoner of her fear. Most of her time had been spent hiding in the trees or caves, away from other soquili. She'd seen what cruelty could befall the others and wanted no part.
Her wings twinged in protest to her long flight. She'd have to settle down somewhere soon to rest, as well as find some food and water. She looked down and saw a clearing that looked empty and decided to settle there, adjusting her aching wings to come in for a landing.
Once settled on the ground, the mare quickly took in her surroundings. There wasn't much, but there was grass at least. She could eat then take a rest.

Viorel had wandered away from the herd, trying to find some more inspiration for his tales. They had become popular with many, even other animals would come to hear him talk on a nice afternoon. Yet now he needed a rest, and some peace. He had been spending to much time within the herd that he had almost forgotten about the beauties of the outside world.
Having decided to walk, he made his way towards the burial ground where Haina Shen had found him milling about. They had talked about the spirits, though Viorel couldn't hear them maybe they could give him some stories to tell.
On his passing through a field he noticed a purple back sticking up over the top of a small hill. He stopped and shifted his path over to this Soq, he couldn't tell if they were male of female, but he did see smaller white wings sticking out as well. "Um, Hello?" He asked from a safe distance away.

Uriel froze when she heard the voice, a male's voice. Was he friendly? He hadn't sounded mean or angry, more questioning. But, what if she was on his turf, would he chase her away? He wings ached too much to be able to take to the air so soon after landing. She swallowed the grass in her mouth, then hesitantly looked up at the stallion.
She blinked a bit that his eyes were solid white. Was he blind? He had a horn. If he could see, would he charge at her? It looked sharp. The stallion also had wings, so flying would have been out as an option. She lowered her head a bit, apologetically. "I...I'm sorry. I was tired from flying and just needed to rest. I didn't mean to...to come into your territory uninvited. Please...I'll just go. I won't be a bother."
She backed up, turning slightly to show she wouldn't fight with him.

He chuckled, his territory? That was funny considering that even his alpha didn't care about travelers unless they were mean. He noticed that she seemed very scared, more like scared of him.
Viorel trotted after her, "Miss, please stay, this territory is open. I will not hurt you. Eat as much as you wish, replenish your strength." He told her and flipped his long braid to the other side.
"I did not mean to frighten you, i know my appearance is sometimes a little startling." Meaning his eyes, many soquili saw them as strange or odd, since they never knew what or who he was looking at, and many others thought him blind.

Uriel paused in her tracks, looking at the stallion. "You really don't mind my staying?"
She glanced around, then ducked her head with a blush. "I'm sorry...I just am not used to others. I tend to keep to myself."
The mare looked back at him, tilting her head slightly. She was curious about him, especially the open territory. "Who's territory is this?"

A small smile came to his face, he didn't scare her away! "This territory belongs to the Ghost family herd, but it is not guarded from travelers, it is simply spiritual land that we tend to. Just to make sure no harm comes to it." He explained and looked at her more closely, she had beautiful soft green eyes, and rose colored hair. She was the most beautiful mare he'd ever seen.
"Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Viorel." He said and bowed to her with perfect grace. He had been raised to treat every female with respect and honor, even if they showed him none.

"Ghost family...spiritual land?" Uriel was taking the information in, then nodded in understanding. "So, it's safe here? There's nothing to fear?"
She watched him curiously, he was strange...but handsome. His dark coat reminded her of the night sky, his pale hair and tail made her think of gentle clouds in the night. The mare blushed again, remembering her manners. "My name is Uriel. It's a pleasure to meet you."

He shook his head, "Nothing you should worry about, these lands have been quiet for a long time." He said and then thought about the best way to explain the spiritual. "This land is home to many spirits that have yet to pass to the next world." He said and ruffled his feathers a little.
"Uriel, what a beautiful name. The pleasure is all mine." He said an smiled his eyes seeming to have a small sparkle to them. "Can I ask what lead you here and where you are planning on going?"

"So, spirits pass through this land on their way to the next world?" The mare looked around, seeming to calm down. She smiled at the stallion, "That's interesting. Do you help guide them, or just protect the land?"
She blushed again at the compliment. "Th-thank you. Viorel is quite a stunning name, too. I've not heard it before."
Uriel blinked at his question, thinking. "I...was just traveling around. I don't really have a place I stay at. I got tired while flying and came to rest here..."

Viorel nodded, "Yes, but some stay longer than others." He said and looked around, smiling at he took in the scene. The field was always beautiful, flowers seemed to bloom even in the winter, he never understood why.
"There is nothing to be scared of Uriel, please relax." He said and smiled, "I am glad you landed here, i havn't been out in a while and its nice to meet such a friendly mare." He stretched his wings. "Have you traveled far?"

The mare sighed, visibly relaxing. She looked over the field as well, smiling slightly. "It's so lovely here. Do these flowers stay even in the cold?"
Uriel looked at the stallion, "I don't remember how far I traveled, but I never keep up with that. I just fly until I need a rest. It's been sometime since I've met a friendly face."
