Fights. Zippeite had been in a ton of them lately. Probably more than his entire career as a Negaverser, which was just terrible because he was supposed to be a stealthy and inconspicuous Info, not a ball busting Spec.
It still wasn't enough to satisfy him, though. Especially since there were way more losses than wins, and one heartbreaking exchange with a former friend.
So he was hunting, again. He wanted a senshi, and he didn't care who. He had spent some time after his beat down on Virtus wondering if there would be consequences for going after a mirror senshi allied with the Negaverse.
So far there were none. Which made him angry at his lack of being noticed and cocky about evading punishment all at once.
Tonight he was hunting out in the open, entirely unafraid and just daring someone to come at him, or notice him. Somebody had to notice him eventually. Right?

Someone had noticed him, her small body peeking around a corner as she inspected the person with the energy signal. She was considering asking them questions but when she caught sight of the familiar uniform and that weapon, her heart nearly stopped in her chest. Fear and the memory of what had happened the first time she met him flowered through her body. She couldn't stay here, she had to get away!
Bunny slippers ran, sliding over the snow rather inconveniently as she went to escape.

The tiny super senshi's aura was unfortunately apparent to Zippeite about half a second before she sensed him. And he gave chase before he even saw who he was hunting.
His boots did well against the snow, allowing him plenty of traction to get in front of her. He turned and stopped in her path, abundantly pleased for a rematch and summoned his weapon without hesitation.
"Remember me?" He asked, twisting his grip on the hilt. "Well I remember you, and you aren't gonna get me with that dust twice, b***h."

Hypnos may not have wanted a fight but she wasn't the same girl as she was when they first met. Well, she was the same girl but she didn't feel as totally helpless as she had. She had a few people to thank for that, and she hoped her sister's skills wouldn't fail her now. She was mentally prepared but having him get in front of her caused her to squeak and jumping back in surprise. Her mind was willing but her body was still filled with fear of their past meeting.
She didn't want to feel the pain he'd caused her again but there was little chance of outrunning him in these conditions. She would have to stand her ground! Her slippers barely kept her feet warm, and they certainly didn't provide her with any traction so instead she slipped them off and used them like gloves. It probably looked pretty ridiculous to have bunnies on her hands but this child was quite serious and this was the best way she could think to soften any blocks and blows he might have by whipping that against her.
A big stance for a small body, Hypnos put her hands up.
"I don't want to fight but I am a lady and I will not allow you to speak that way or walk all over me anymore!" She tried to be tough, tried not to fall into her habits of tears and weakness. She had to be strong.

Zippeite smirked. She looked ridiculous, and still screamed 'easy target'. More so, since he knew what to look out for this time and had no intention of being caught off guard.
"Pft, you're no lady," He sneered. "And I'll talk to you however you want. You're just a piece of alien garbage." He rotated shoulders and and ran at her, aiming his weapon like a baseball bat towards her head.

"I am a lady!" She insisted. "I am certainly not an alien nor am I garbage. You should be more kind to people."
Seeing him run at her had been frightening but she reminded herself that she had taken on youma, and her sister had helped teach her more things about self defense. She stood firm, holding her slippers up with her arms in a defensive manner, moving from the weapon and attempting to push it away in one movement as she stepped to the side.
"I do not wish to fight, please cease and desist!"

Zippeite was expecting a straight on hit, not to have her dodge and push him to the side. He over shot a few steps before skidding to a stop mid turn.
He scrunched his nose with a sniff and frowned, looking her over.
"Why should I? Why should I even care? You powered up and went on patrol in a warzone, now you're gonna get blasted," He said stubbornly before coming at her again, this time putting the entire force of his body into an effort to collide with her.

Why? Hypnos couldn't understand how someone could be like that! There were people out there getting hurt, if she didn't power up then maybe no one would and then who would protect them? She may just be a small lady but she had big hopes! She shook her head, smiling at Zippeite softly.
"People will get hurt. I may only be one but even one person can make a difference. I could save someone's life," her voice stopped as her thoughts went rampant. It was just a second but she thought of Yvette. It wasn't as simple as maybe saving someone, if she hadn't powered up and been there then Yvette may not have survived that day. "No, I have saved someone's life—I will save whoever I can."
It was then his force hit her, and the small child took the grunt of the hit with her arms crossed. She slid back, a very unsavior-like squeak escaping her lips in the process. She managed to keep her ground, she used the closeness as an opportunity to throw a handful of sleep dust at his face. She looked at him, looked behind him to find a mound of snow and then used all her might to push him.

Zippeite was nicked by the sleep dust but he had been waiting for it this time, and didn't get as heavy of a dose as when she'd gotten him in the alleyway.
The snow was a surprise, though, and he stumbled backwards to try to get a grip and get steady in spite of a sudden feeling of drowsiness. He only pur more distance between them when she pushed him, efore suddenl whirling back around to face her.
Braced, wide stance and both hands still gripping his weapon, he scowled at her, thoroughly insulted by the assault. "Yeah, one person could be saved," He said and grinned. "One person could also die tonight." God be damned if he was ending the night without taking a life. Zippy had left today fully intending to beat someone and take at least one starseed. Personal goals were important.
Maybe the little b***h would be around to watch.
And with those thoughts, he ran at her again, only instead of taking a swing with his weapon, at the last second he shifted to execute a high kick at her.

Hypnos didn't want anyone to die! If one person could be saved, why not both? She refused to simply stand there and let someone die if she any say in it. If she didn't have a say in it then she was going to make a point real quick so she could. Zippeite had only been distracted for a moment though, barely enough time for the senshi to escape. She braced herself for his attack, but it wasn't hard to psych out a child so when she thought he was coming in with his weapon but instead used his leg, Hypnos only noticed when it was too late to defend herself and took a big hit from it.
The small body of the chibi senshi flew backwards across the icy ground and slid to a stop in a pile of snow. She wanted to be strong but when she tried to sit up she found herself wincing in pain, small tears welling up around her eyes.
It was at this point that the senshi who hated senshi the most, including himself, found himself unable to simply remain in the darkness and hide any longer. A simple trip home was all he wanted (and maybe he should have powered down but it was simply much faster this way) but he should have known the world would never be so generous as to do that. It didn't seem to matter who held the title of senshi, or how he'd probably support senshi being beat up, because when he found the source of the energy signals he found himself staring face to face with a small child. It made him want to throw up, and not because she was a senshi! How could someone beat up a child when they were obviously too old to be playing with children?
He didn't announce himself, not until he raised his own leg and slammed it down toward Zippeite.
"Pick on someone your own size," he spat out, already standing in a long-developed defensive stance the small girl would learn a few things from. "And since you're probably a little too stupid to understand what I mean I'll make it a little easier for you: I'm referring to myself."

Zippeite had the air knocked out of him and his small frame was thrown back by the kick.
Who the <********> was this? Though, once the aura set in and he recognized it as a DMC-er he had a brief moment of panic that this might be revenge for what he'd done to one of theirs earlier. His 'fight' with Virtus hadn't been pretty at all and he had half been expecting some retaliation.
But nope, this guy seemed more preoccupied with defending some puny senshi who weren't even on his side.
"Who the hell are you?" He spat among panting to catch and keep his breath in spite of the increasing drowsiness, before attempting to retaliate. Only a high kick wasn't going to do with such a massive size difference. The guy was almost a foot taller than him! In an attempt at taking him down born of desperation, Zippeite opted for full body tackle.

Orpheus might have pat Zippeite on the back if he'd know about Virtus because frankly Orpheus had a lot more hate than this little Negaverse lieutenant did and a good majority of it was targeted toward the Dark Mirror Court for what they stole from him. However, he didn't and what he did know was that this was a jerk who was picking on a small girl!
Amber eyes glanced toward Hypnos. She had not moved from where she laid but at least she was conscious. It was good enough, and while he wasn't going to go and help her up he was willing to stop Zippeite for her. In fact, it would be his pleasure. He hadn't had any serious fights because frankly all the sparring he did with Doug was just that. He didn't actually want to hurt Doug, just hone his skills, but now he was powered up and Chaos reeled through him. All the urges he fought on a daily basis were exposed and being actively poked by some idiot.
Orpheus didn't need magic to take on some brat like this, and when he came in with a full body tackle the Dark Mirror senshi appropriately dodged it. He had a counterattack ready before Zippeite had even attacked, reeling his leg around in a roundhouse kick toward the lieutenant's back in an attempt to just simply making him land on his face from the sheer force of the combined actions.
"Who the hell am I? Who the hell are you? Only trash picks on children."

Zippeite hit the ground face first before he even knew what was happening. He pushed himself up and looked over his shoulder yelling loud enough his voice cracked under the strain, "I'm not trash!" And then he fully pushed himself up to his feet, cringing at the pain.
You'd think after so many beatings he'd be used to it by now.
"I'm a Negaverse lieutenant. I have power," He said like he was convincing himself more than anything. He stared at Orpheus like he was weighing his options. He couldn't take him, there was no way.
What did he do? He ran for someone he could take. Hypnos.

"You say you're not trash but you did exactly what I described trash to be," he said, a clear smirk on his face.
At this point Hypnos had managed to struggle to her feet, one of her arms clutching her side ruefully. She seen Zippeite coming at her, and she wasn't going to stand for it. In fact, she was going to throw for it: For his face to be specific. She used her bunny slippers as ammo, and then used as much force as she could exert to throw them. Mine you, she was no baseball pitcher and she was rather hurt but if she wasn't a senshi Orpheus might have given her an A for effort. However, now this was more than simply protecting a child. Now? Now it was about making it so even this piece of trash's mother couldn't even recognize him anymore just like his own.
It didn't take long for Orpheus to cross paths with Zippeite, and the look on his face was anything but charming. It was a look of pure hatred and rage, and a large part of it was definitely being misdirected at the Negaverse lieutenant. All of the things he'd dreamed of doing to Ares to take his life back? They were now focused on doing one thing: Messing this b***h up. There was one way to do that, and secure this senshi child's safety from the oncoming dash and that was his elbow. What did he do with it? Well, he put all the force he could into ramming that into Zippeite's side.
"Leave now!" The dark mirror senshi yelled to Hypnos.
A cringe in her step, Hypnos turned around the corner of the building and tried to leave.

Zippeite barely even noticed the slipped as he was knocked back by Orpheus's elbow shot, falling to his side and hitting the ground.
But if there was one thing Zippeite was good at, it was getting back up again, even when he shouldn't.
He stumbled back to his feet, but he was definitely slowing down. He didn't bounce away like he usually did, he just kind of stood there and wobbled and spit out a bit of blood that had pooled in his mouth. He didn't know where at first, but then he realized that last collision must've made him bite his tongue pretty hard.
With one yell that was nothing but intelligible rage he ran at Orpheus again with no finesse or intention to do anything but crash into him.
