His first few days of school were exhausting to say the least. Between meeting his cousin, and suffering though her idea of showing him around, unpacking and just trying to figure out where all his classes were and when, Andrew was completely exhausted and has simply stayed in his room for the first few days of existence. He had learned that the heat was never on high enough, and that the breeze was still coming from the taped up cracks in his window. He had tried to convince a gnome to fix it himself, Danny apparently forgot.
Now that things had calmed down, and he had gotten those first few pages, of very messy homework done, he decided to vacate his room and settle down in one of the lounges of the demon dorms, allowing himself to take over a full couch, with his flaming tail hanging over the side. He stared out the window facing the forest, watching the mini birds and the occasional student fly by. While he looked relaxed, his ears were open to any other students who happened to pass. He did want to make connections as quickly as possible.

Draven was, again, attempting to settle into a decent routine that would allow him to focus on his studies. There was always one thing or another that dragged his attention away, and that just would not do. So, it was with a book in one hand that the raven mocker wandered into one of the many lounges around the dorm building. He rather liked this one. Though if that was because of the rather plush chair in one corner, or the nice view out of forest, or simply the color of the walls, he couldn't really say. He just liked it. Lounges, being public space, were not always the best place to sit down and attempt to study. He just knew he'd distract himself in his room or perhaps fall asleep. He didn't want to go to the library, either. No, a lounge would be just fine. Besides, it was always nice to be open and friendly with folks, and one couldn't do that shut away in their room all the time. Not surprisingly the lounge was already occupied with Draven arrived. The boil noted the tail on fire (flame demon perhaps?), and he also noted the fact that he'd never seen him before. That was easily explained, though, seeing as there seemed to be quite a few new faces around lately. "Hello," he said with a nod before proceeding to towards his favorite chair.

Another boil entered the lounge with a book in hand. Was he actually reading? Andrew hadn’t bothered to read most of the school work, mostly he just skimmed and filled out answers. Were those feathers? Maybe the boil could fly as well. “Hello.” He responded and watched as the Boil dropped into a chair. Good, he wasn’t moving from his lazy position on the couch. Even though he was small, he still managed to take up most of it, and he wasn’t interested in sharing. “I’m Andrew.” How many times would he have to say his name this week. It felt like a lot. Still, it was the best way to get other student’s names. Well, first names but that was good enough in his book. He twisted slightly to allow himself to look at the other student and then stared back out the window, hands roaming to find a more comfortable position.

"Draven," the raven mocker replied as he settled into the chair. He almost cracked his book open, but then thought better of it. Sure, he'd come all the way down here to read, but that didn't mean he felt quite like reading. "I haven't seen you around before, you new?" It was question to which Draven thought he knew the answer. However, it was nice to double check such things rather than assume. Besides, it was a bit of an icebreaker.

“Yeah I’m new.” How new he didn’t exactly say. There was no need to let anyone know he was almost completely ignorant of the school dynamics. Which he really wasn’t. Instead he settled his hands and then spotted something red under Draven’s chair. “Hey is that yours?” he sat up trying to figure out what the object was. Did the chair move when he sat down, he swore it wasn’t there before.

Draven nodded. New faces everywhere. Andrew. He committed the name to memory. "Hmm?" Draven looked down, and even leaned over. It was difficult from his vantage to see what the other demon was talking about, but he still tried. "I don't think so." He didn't think he'd brought anything with him that could have fallen without his notice. He reached down, and grabbed something odd. A bright red..envelope? "Is it yours?" Draven held it out to Andrew.

"Nope, but it is now." he took it, eyes alight with curiosity. "No name..." abandoned possessions were now his possessions, right? "Whelp only one way to find out." he shrugged and took a claw to the top of the envelope. And pulled out a strange looking coin. "Hmm, what is thissss?" his S came out as a hiss, and he frowned tail flaring slightly. Seems his accent was coming out... something he normally didn't do often. Though is sounded off even to his own ears.

Draven watched as Andrew opened the envelope. "Well, that's just odd." A red envelope with a strange coin. He'd never seen anything like it before. If it wasn't his, and it wasn't Andrew's, then who could it belong to? Was it important? Was it worth anything? Draven found that he was suddenly full of questions. "I wonder where it came from...and what it means," Draven's eyes flickered back up to Andrew. "Was there anyone in here before me?"

"Not that I know of." he frowned and got up, stretching before looking around. "I wonder if there are any more around." "It'ssss a coin, ssso I wonder if they are sssome sssort of game." he didn't make eye contact. His accent was so heavy right now, it was just embarrassing. Why now? He usually could control it.

"It's possible," Draven said, also taking a moment to glance around for a moment before looking back at Andrew. The raven mocker's head tilted to the side just a bit, in a motion that indicated curiosity. He didn't recognize the other boils accent.
"That is a good question, and entirely possible." As he spoke, Draven stood, placing his book in the seat behind him. He then knelt down, intending to take a good look under things.
"So," he began casually, "where abouts are you from?"

"Firelandssss." he growled in irritation why was he doing that? He scowled to himself and checked under the cushions. He wanted more coins. He might be able to sell them, or something. "What about you?" Maybe he could just avoid S's and not have to deal with it.

"Oh, neat," Draven said as he slipped his hand under the couch to feel around for things. He was to busy thinking about how he'd never been to the Firelands, even though they seemed interesting, to hope that the gnomes cleaned under the sofa. "Me? No where near as interesting or as far away as you. My family has some land not too far from town." Too far to commute everyday, but near enough he went home a fair amount. "It's--" Draven stopped as his fingers brushed up against something unseen under the couch. "Oh, and what is this?" A moment later he was looking at another bright red envelope.

"Sssseemsss like another one." he flopped back on the couch. "does it have another coin?" he smiled eyes shining with the light of his fire. "And that'sss cool. You probably know the town pretty well then." he waited wondering what else could be in the envelopes and why there were around. Besides Draven seemed like a cool boil. He played with his new coin checking it over.

OOC 2- You feel like you are a snake. In fact you ARE a snake for the next hour! Draven eyed the envelope. "Only one way to find out!" He was grinning as his fingers began to set about opening the bright red thing. He looked up at Andrew. "I know parts of town well enough, but not all of it. I mean, I haven't ever really explored it." Draven felt the envelope open and even as he looked down to see what his prize was, he noticed something very odd. He didn't quite feel like himself. He felt rather...rather...he didn't know how to describe it. Armless? No, more than that. So much more. Draven looked at Andrew, wondering if the other boil felt anything odd, but the flame demon seemed well enough at first glance. The couch suddenly seemed a little taller, though. And the red envelope lay empty on the floor.

Andrew blinked. And blinked again. "Draven?" he rubbed his eyes. Did he just see what he thought he saw? "Draven? Issss that you?" he approached the snake and bend down looking it over. How had... what? Was this some sort of elaborate prank? Or had he really seen the raven demon turn into a snake? What did he do now? His brain drew up a blank. "Are you ok?" Could the snake even understand him?
