Quote: Getting into the Altar of the Old Gods: - You need to camp out in the Weeping Forest after reading the information. Hunters can enter Halloween as well without a golem (recommended as the Altar itself is very golem unfriendly due to its climate and high altitude as well as natural enemies), for a max of 30 minutes. Each roll takes 5 IC minutes - students can pretty much park here as long as they need. - All players roll 1d100. - Rolling 50 or less will let players find a portal that randomly leads to someone's house. Feel free to RP this as you please as awkwardly as you please - Rolling 70 or less will let players find a portal that leads to the Land of Holidays. Right now is really not the time for Xmas cheer...and the creatures there seem extremely hostile - Rolling 80 or less will lead you to the Haunted House. - Rolling 81 or higher will let you find the portal! Success! You can now proceed inside.

Calder had left with Barth and Zar, making sure to lock up and to make sure both demons didn't fall too far behind. He knew the quickest route to the Weeping Forest and was happy to show them the way, resisting the urge to make a detour past any rivers.
Once there, he noticed a few portals here and there hovering by the brush or a tree or some curtain of vines. Deciding to take a peek, he wandered (not too far of course) to check these portals only to be disappointed at each turn. He had walked straight into a butchery full of swamp things who were shouting they were closed. After that, he walked on a couple of undeads arguing and were throwing limbs at each other. The last portal took him to a fitting room where a spider ghoul was trying to fit a pair of 8 legged jeans and shouted at him for entering.
Returning, he only frowned at not being more helpful.

Zar had eyed the woehound with a distant expression until it walked away, and then he had followed the others in silence to the weeping forest. He was normally pretty talkative, for a shut-in, but the sound of his hooves had been the only sound he made the entire way there.
The first portal he found he was loathe to investigate, portals had never boded well for him. Inside was a house, a normal, human house. It smelled like prey and he inhaled deeply before leaning back out again.
It wasn't right, and nor was the next which led to the foul scent of peppermint that made him recoil immediately, the last was another human dwelling. Sometimes he wished he had a travel pass.

"Hmm," Barth said, stepping off his skateboard and looking warily at the woods. There were...roots and things. It made skating difficult. He just...looked half-heartedly in the first portal available, hoping Zar and Calder would manage.
Instead, a very greek breeze billowed past him.
"Here," he said, sounding disappointed.
The sorrow might also have had to do with the enormous mountain.

Calder trotted over and peeked in before seeing the mountain and then helped Barth step inside. As they did, he looked up and whistled. "Mountains.....Not exactly my....uh, well it should be fun." He looked over at Barth, ears lowering just a bit. "It's not...too high up there, is it?"
Calder was just a weeeee bit afraid of heights. Just a little.

Looking up at the mountain, there was something in Zar that approved. Something a bit goaty that stuck around despite his demonic nature. Of course it was ridiculous, he'd only tried climbing once and it had been during the trials. He hadn't done so well, and even though this time he didn't even have the annoying little lepus guide to heckle him Barth would probably fill in for that role just fine.
"It's times like this I wish even more I still had my feathers."

"A...flying device of some sort would err...definitely help."
He might have called in that favor from Jericho, if the dragon hadn't been...otherwise occupied.
And an elf.
He cleared his throat.
"There's probably a path...somewhere. Or a stone elevator."
Barth was an alright climber, as long as you accounted for day-long breaks and an abysmal pace.

There was a snarl.
A shadowy, boarish creature, half made of inky black and half made of alabaster ruins, clacked forward from the undergrowth.
There was, in fact, a path. And the boar was standing right in front of it. Vines hung over its face and out of its jaws. It had one battered, shining eye that sparkled from the depths of the rock.
"Um," Barth said, ichor sliding from his claws, "Nice...pig. Good fellow. Um. Dreadful weather we're having. I was just...admiring this mountain of yours. It's very bleak."
A tall, blue figure made entirely of slime stood wordlessly at Barth's side.
"A little protection, pleassse," Barth hissed at it. It burbled uselessly, and collapsed. The boar stepped forward.
"I was hoping for a little more than that."

At the plea for help and seeing Barth's protection just turn to a puddle, Calder stepped in, rotating his shoulders and smiling. There was something to say about fighting a brute when it involved keeping your lover safe, and he flicked his tail, proud to be the monster in the ground. Christof usually outshined him, but now it was his chance to show what he was capable of.
"I got this." He said to Barth, moving in and racing to him to really give him a trampling.
All until the boar reared up, stomped down, and sent a pile of rocks his way. Trying to skid to a halt to avoid the rocks, the boar then tossed it's head, throwing Calder aside and stumbling hooves over tail into the rock pile.
It was not a soft landing. Calder Stamina: 32 HP: 45/50 Damage: Missed Quote: Third Level: 11d4 First Dice: xxxxx 1: Miss xxxxx 2 - 3: HIT however the resulting damage is divided by 2. Fantastic, they were all going to die. It had been a while since Zar had died last. This hadn't been a bad thing, nor one he particularly wanted to change.
When the boar stepped forward, he eyed it blankly, distant and calculating. He used to be afraid of battle, back when he actually felt he had something to lose. He'd already lost everything and he didn't fear dissipation, maybe dissipating would make him insane again. Maybe not.
He flared his wings out, tail held out behind him at its full length, longer than he was tall.
With a shallow sigh he muttered. "I suppose it's up to me." And, lowering his head and his horns, he charged, everything about grace, stability and balance. When he reached the boar he skidded to a halt, falling back onto his tail, which held up his weight effortlessly.
This let him bring up both very solid, very strong hooves and kick the thing right in the face. It hurt, it really did hurt, but he didn't care one jot.
It careened backwards with a satisfying thud.
Zar lowered his feet to the ground, stood and flicked some dust off his coat.

Office work. Barth had thought those legs looked like they were used for more than indoor activities.
There was more slime oozing from his claws, this time plopping in colorful, excited piles. Each was strange, small. Some lean, some with long noses and others with blobby features. They all had gremlin smiles, and looked like half of an evil chihuahua mixed with a booger.
"Sssorry," Barth hissed at the boar, which rolled over in rage, shaking the rocks off, "if you'd just...sssstay where you are- help him, please."
The balls of goo splattered against the boar's neck and hooves, hopelessly sticky.

Calder dragged himself from the rocks and dusted himself off, glaring and angry that he hadn't been amazing as he wanted to be. As Zar kicked out with his hooves, and Barth threw his slime to keep it in place, the kelpie flicked his hair in just the right way and started to walk in front of the Boar. He didn't need momentum or quick attacks for this move.
All he had to be was fabulous!
Standing before the Boar, he called forth his own Fear to radiate into his skin, into his very being like a aura wafting off a gleam of something alluring and attractive. He stood there, green eyes focused on the boar and he watched him, and stuck out a hip just so.
He was sexy and even the Boar knew it, shadow or not.Calder Stamina: 32 HP: 40/50 Quote: Disable Second Level: 1d4 First Dice: xxxxx 1, 2: Miss xxxxx 3, 4: Success! Effect: Opponent skips their next turn; User takes an additional turn

With the Boar dazzed, Calder went over and spun about to kick it, glaring over at it and seeing it was still staring at him, transfixed.
"That's for throwing rocks on me." He huffed, and went back to the group. "That's not going to last long." He told them both.

Zar was surprised how much pain he was in after his kick at the creature, he was woefully out of shape. That was kind of expected, given the lack of exercise he did ever.
Calder almost dazzled him.
Shaking his head to clear it, he tried to land another attack with his claws.
He wasn't hopeful, lightning didn't strike twice, but somehow, he struck it anyway, maybe luck was taking pity on him.
