Lazarus drank from a stream, his breathing labored and heavy. He had flown towards the lightly wooded area he was in now, and was tired as a result. Though he hadn’t gone particularly far, he wasn’t very strong, and the fatigue he felt was almost embarrassing. Thankfully, no one had been nearby to see him, and he could feel his strength returning already after he’d slated his thirst.
He stretched his tensed muscles, glad to feel all four feet on the ground again, and took note of the sky. It was only evening: just enough time for a game, if anyone was nearby. After ensuring his lantern was still tucked safely by his side, he trotted off in search of a soquili to play with.

Uriel was enjoying the cool woods. So far it seemed fairly safe, no predators. She could never seem to shake her timid nature. Always shying away from others, though she would lend a hand if they asked her. She wanted friends, she was just afraid of larger soquili that might hurt her.
She paused when she heard someone approaching, turning slowly so as not to alarm whoever approached. She didn't want to startle them and have them attack her....it was a stallion. He was colorful, and winged. She tilted her head, he also had scales. She hadn't seen that before.
"Hello," she nodded to him, smiling gently. He seemed nice enough.

It wasn’t long until Lazarus saw another silhouetted against the trees. He smiled inwardly at his luck, and approached the mare with a worried countenance. His steps were cautious, and he seemed liable to jump at any time. His breathing was still a tad labored from his earlier flight, adding to his ruse.
As he neared, he took note of soquili’s wings. He hadn’t met many capable of flight, and he worried at it. What if the mare was aggressive, or didn’t take too well to his plan? If he had to run, his escape wouldn’t be so easy. But... what was a little danger now and then? He quickly resolved to finish what he’d started.
“Hello,” he returned politely, before glancing about behind him. Then, with an uneasy rustle of his wings, “You haven’t seen any Skinwalkers about, have you?”
