Hevalia and Derin, I greet you on your trip to a park for a picnic!
But something seems to have happened to your peaceful evening. You are enjoying the sunset when the ground starts to shudder. All of a sudden you see the ground start to crumble around you. A sinkhole?
I do hope you make the most of it!

Hevalia had taken great care making the lunch for their picnic and had specifically picked out a very nice spot in the park. She had been so excited! This was her first blind date, and who knew where that could lead!? But shortly after Derin, a very handsome medaria with lovely markings, appeared, things had taken a turn for the worse! The ground had started to shake and a hole appeared beneath her beautifully laid out picnic and swallowed it hole.
"Oh no!" She wailed, looking at Derin with fretful eyes. "I had worked so hard on that and really wanted to see what you thought of the food." She pouted a bit and looked mournfully at the sink hole.. for a moment.
"Well, I propose we go right down that sink hole after that lovely picnic. Perhaps some of the food is still good and we can continue our date after all."
She turned to smile at Derin, wondering what he thought. "It can't be that dangerous, can it? Do you think it's deep?"

Derin sighed. This was not supposed to happen. "Well first things first. I'm Derin. Nice to meet ya. I'm sorry about the picnic going in the hole, but it is dangerous..." Just then the ground shakes more and they are falling into the sink hole. "Gah!" He grabs onto her. "Hold tight!" They land on a cake with a splat. Oh great, he thought, I've got cake on my back...

Hevalia had been about to introduce herself as well when the ground started to shake again. Next thing she knew, both her and Derin were falling into the sink hole, he grabbed onto her as they fell. Once the dust settled, she opened her eyes. Looking around, she didn't see Derin, but the ground beneath her was peculiarly soft. She looked down only to discover she was on top of him. She quickly backed off, blushing brightly. "Oh dear, I'm terribly sorry, you aren't hurt are you?" She glanced skyward, seeing daylight coming from the hole above. "Well.. I suppose our choice was made for us. I wonder if any of the food is salvageable."

He looked up to see she was on top of him. She blushed and got off him. He turned away for her and blushed. "Not how a date goes, but I'm a bit sore." Once the blush was gone he stood up. "I know the cake isn't." He sighed and tried to brush cake off his back.

"Let me help with that," she said, moving closer to help brush some of the cake off him. She tried not to giggle, the whole situation was a bit silly. "I'm not really upset the cake was ruined. Truth be told, I actually bought it. I'm no good at baking, so figured it would be safer to buy one. Unfortunately, it probably tasted pretty good, oh well." She took a step back, examining him critically. "I think it's all gone now. Hopefully the basket isn't gone as well." She moved towards the impact site and began shifting a few things around, hoping to find their lost lunch.

He blushed a bit more as she touched him. He got it off finally. "Well that's too bad. I would of liked to try it as well. Not everyone is good at baking. That's why they have bake stores." He smiled and chuckled a bit. He saw her eying him and did the same. "Thanks. Here let me have a look too." He helped her look through the mess.

"Oh good, it'll go much faster with the two of us looking." She smiled at him before resuming her search. She pushed against a large rock that was blocking her search, pressing her shoulder against it, but it wouldn't budge at all. Hevalia gave one last mighty shove before she collapsed on the ground, sighing in frustration. "Oh boy, that sure is heavy." She lay there, resting. "By the way, I haven't formally introduced myself. My name is Hevalia, it's nice to meet you. If you don't mind my asking, why did you sign up for the blind date? Certainly someone as handsome as you should have no trouble finding a girl."

He dug a bit and found the picnic basket, or what was left of it.
"You shouldn't try to move that by yourself. Hevalia is a pretty name. I'm handsome?! I've not heard that before. Oh for the reason most of our clan does things like this. Our guardian is obsessed with love and babies. So it was her wish. Not to mention I've yet to meet any others. Oh I found the basket."

"Oh, I see.. does that mean you're not looking for a relationship? Cause I know some medaria do these things just for the fun of it." Upon hearing that he found the basket, she stood up and walked over to him. There was the basket alright, or at least what was left of it. It was a little smushed and pretty dirty. "Well, that certainly is the basket. But I'm not sure any of the food is still good." She poked at it a bit with her paw, as if it might disintegrate if she touched it. "Do you think we ought to open it anyway? I'm scared to see what my food will look like." She giggled.

"I'm not doing this for fun. Though I do wish to have more. I don't know what a relationship is really." He was so confused. They just said to go and meet a girl. Have a fun time and go home. Now he didn't know... "We should open it. I think we can find water, but food is a definite need. It'll be squished." He shrugged.

Hevalia stepped closer to the basket, tentatively opening the lid. Most of the food was an awful mess, but there were a few things in sturdier containers that hadn't been smashed in the fall. She pulled out the containers that were still intact. "Oh goody, look, some of these didn't break. It looks like we still have some food after all. But I'm not sure if there's anything else that can be saved from this mess." She moved things around a bit more, but didn't see anything else worth taking out.

After putting all the food aside and making sure it was secure, she looked up at Derin. He seemed to be looking for something. "Hey, what's up? Whatcha lookin for?" She walked up next to him and looked in the directions he was. "I don't really see anything. Are you looking for a way out? Do you think we should eat first, I haven't eaten a lot today." As if in response her stomach grumbled. "Er, rather, I haven't eaten at all, I was pretty nervous for our date." She blushed, pawing at the ground nervously.
