Sara wished that she didn't have to be here. But then again, the cities did offer supplies that were impossible to find in the west. Still, bartering and money really wasn't her style. Still she had gritted her teeth and played the merchants game. Long ago she'd promised never to hurt an innocent, but would these merchants count as innocent? She doubted that very much. But she didn't want to be arrested, no thank you. So she played by their rules.
"Okay, got everything I needed." She looked into her coin purse. Empty minus a single coin. "Wonder if I could buy anything with this?" Her head down, she turned down a random alleyway. Suddenly, her gut told her that was a very bad move.
"Hey chick!" A rough voice called out. Damn, some thugs. Probably thinking they'll find some easy pickings. Or worse, an easy lay. "Give us everything, and come with us. Uh, we're robbin.... I mean we are not robbing you. It's not safe here. We'll take you to a safe place." One of the thugs muttered outloud, something about his bed. That earned him a elbow in the stomach. And they are stupid. Great. Best combination ever."
"No thanks. Ye ain't me type." Sara said, readying her staff for combat.
"Yeah what is your type." The thug dropped all pretenses of being nice. He drew out a tiny knife, laughable really.
"Ye too male, and too human for me. And I be sure your knife matches the head ye obviously be using now."
"Oh you one of them beast lovers then? Guess we'll have to show you the error's of your way. And it ain't the size of my friend." The group chuckled, each one pulling out their knives.Really, he calls it his friend? Sad lot here. Sara dropped into a defesive stance.
"Now this be what I call a little fun." She motioned for them to come at her.

Suddenly, with a flash amazingness, (or so in the opinion of Aedan) the Warrior of the Fist jumped into action. Where he had been standing, or how he knew the fight was taking place is a mystery (He was buying an apple in a stall nearby). "Halt evil warriors! Let this poor defenseless woman go!" Aedan cried out, moving into a defensive stance he called, fists of fury. The gang members just stared at Aedan.
Obviously they are in awe of my muscles and will bow down to me, and swear to follow the path of Good for the rest of their lives! Aedan thought, his mind whirling with the possibilities. And from there I can end all thug activitiy in Armatus! And from there the World! Especially in- The rest of his train of thought was ended as the thug nearest to him whacked him on the nose.

Sara sighed as her 'Savior' was getting the s**t beaten out of him. Sure it was a noble thing to do, really. She could appreciate it. But the manner he spoke in. It irked her. Majorly irked her. It's like he assumed that she would need saving. And defenseless woman? She had a freaking staff for Bird's sake! One that was going to go through his skull in a moment if he wasn't careful!
Anyway, it seemed as if she would have to step in and save the day. Jumping into action, she quickly kicked the nearest thug in the side, bowling him over. Next she swung her staff into the next thugs stomach, bowing him over, which allowed for a quick kick to the face to knock him out. The other thugs started to back away, cautious of her attacks. Still, she quickly dispatched another thug with a kick to the groin. That'd teach them to be rude to a lady. Grabbing on to her 'Savior' she dragged him, the thugs discombobulated by her retaliation. "Come on Hero, we need to get ye out of here before you screw things up worse."

"Are you alright My Lady?" Aedan cried out, now that the danger had passed. Ignoring the fact that the woman he was trying to save just saved his life; he was back into Hero mode. "I wish I could stay My Lady, but I must save more people!" He tried to get up, only to instantly fall back to the ground. The beating he had taken earlier must have damaged his incredible (ly small) brain. "I guess I could rest a moment, make sure that the Lady is alright." A moment of silence passed before he spoke again. "Oh, how rude am I? I forgot to introduce myself... I am Aedan, protector of the innocent, Master of the Way. It is a pleasure to save a beauty like you." Aedan flourished his hand.

Sara gritted her teeth. "Aedan, eh? Well 'Aedan the mighty,'" She spat out, "It seems like we need to be talking. "Ye be an idiot. Ye almost died, and nearly brought me with ya. And now ya expect me to play nice with ye, and tell ya me name? And spouting that s**t about saving beautiful woman? Ye be an arrogant pig I say!" Sara struck him across the face with her staff. "First off, ye ain't me type. Second off, even if ya were my type, I lost all me respect for you as soon ye opened your mouth. Thirdly I saved your a**. Not the other way around." Sara spun on the back of her heel and spat on the ground. "Humans, all the same." She grunted under her teeth.

Aedan didn't do a thing to stop the lady from hitting him across the face. While the blow was not strong, it still rattled his brain a bit. His eyes glazed over, and he tried to keep consciousness. Apparently being hit across the face multiple times is bad for you. Who knew? As soon as the lady said a**, however, his baser instincts cropped up. Baser being that he stared directly at hers. Not bad. A bit bony I guess. But in general a nice feature of hers. Not too big, or small. Aedan tuned out what the lady was saying. It was too hard to pay attention to her, keep his train of thought, and stare at her a**. His eye lids screamed to close themselves, but he managed to keep them open. If only in order to keep staring. And make sure no one else came in to steal a peek. Nope, that was his job. The stars though, that danced in and out of his vision, did make the job tough. But he was up to it.

Sara turned, ready to unleash a larger scolding for ignoring her. However as she turned she noticed where his eyes were plastered. Or, where they had been when before she turned around. Red dropped across her vision, and her staff, oh how trusty it was. Lifting it up; she slammed it against the perverts face. Three wacks. Then she noticed something else. His eyes were glazed over. Dammit. He may have multiple concussions. I'll need to treat him. Don't trust the doctors here to do it right. And he might be a dirty pig, and a human, but his heart was in the right place when he tried to save me skin. Even if he be a failure. I guess I owe it to him in order to patch him up.
"Okay Warrior Boy, I'll be taking ye somewhere now. It'll help with ye pain." Sara said, having kneeled on the ground to face Aedan. "But be warned, if ye don't follow me, I'll not be stopping to help ye out. Understood?" Sara asked, pulling Aedan up, letting him use her body as a crutch. Her hotel room was nearby. She could keep an eye on him there. Nothing life-threatening was happening at her hut. She could delay her return for a little while.

(Yep Yep we have. Traditional adventuring party. Warrior, Healer, and Rogue. Rogue preferable female so Aedan and Sara can fight over her.) Aedan felt his eyes slip close, as Sara pulled him towards her hotel room. (Short post to wrap up this action)

Sara dragged Aedan to her hotel room. The first important thing was to stop the swelling. She had some drugs that he would have to take, either orally or through injection. However for now she would have to wrap his head in some cool rags, and apply ice to his nose. That would hopefully slow the swelling. Next would be to locate all locations of bleeding that were more then mere scratches. Then determine the severity of each wound and the order in which each wound would have to be treated. That job would take a while. First thing first....... Sara ran over to her sink, and began to run the water.
(Time skip while medical things happens)
Sara sat down, exhausted. Despite the fact she used no magic to heal Aedan, it was still a lengthy process that took a lot out of her. Still, he was stable, and she could check him every few hours now, instead of every few minutes. Her eyes slipped closed. It would be a while before he awoke. Maybe now she could get some rest.

(matching the time skip)
It had been three days. Three days since Aedan had first closed his eyes. And he dreamed. Dreamed of beautiful women. Dreamed of fire, and ice, and rage. Dreamed of events that were coming. As if The Way was trying to tell him of his duty. And it all passed him by. Instead, he woke up, with no memories of his dreams. Only of a fist flying towards his face.
"H.... hello?" Aedan whispered, his voice rasping from underuse. A cup of water had been left by his bedside, and he eagerly drank it up. His voice, now stronger and not as scratchy, rose as he spoke again. "Hello?"
