Aes  Username: lord-kensington Name: High Commander Hugo Monmouth Appearance:Faction: Aes Age: 65 History: The son of a Naval Officer Hugo had grown up amongst the technology and pomp of the Aes military. When he was 15 he was enrolled in the Aes Military School and was soon earmarked for Officer training, upon turning 18 he was transferred to the Officer Academy and began learning how to lead men into battle, devise tactics and the finer art of diplomacy. He enjoyed his military training but found most enjoyment in his tactics lessons, where he would regularly come out victorious in simulations. It was decided that Military Intelligence would be where Hugo would be of most use. Upon graduation Sub-Lieutenant Monmouth applied and was accepted into the Aes Naval Intelligence Corps. He was soon put to work in as a clerk in the filing rooms, during his tenure as a junior officer in the filing department he devised a more efficient filing system which saved the Naval Office not only time but money as well. His reward was to be promoted to Lieutenant and posted to a ship, the frigate "Conqueror". Out from behind a desk Hugo was able to gain a keen insight into the differences between the tactics board at headquarters and the reality of what happens aboard a ship in the heat of battle. The Conqueror was present in several engagements against Pirate vessels that breached Aes airspace. Following 2 years as the intelligence officer on board the Conqueror Hugo was brought back to fleet headquarters and put to work in Naval Intelligence Bureau 6, which oversaw the intelligence gathered by Aes spies in foreign territory. Now a Commander He was given charge of a portfolio of agents in Novum Fulgar and disseminated the information and providing succinct reports to the Admiralty. It was due to his insight that the Aes was to become aware of their rivals latest technological advances far sooner than the Novum Fulgar leadership suspected. Hugo was quickly promoted up to Captain where he took command of the Dreadnought "Iron Might", he was commanding officer when the vessel was sabotaged in airdock by Novum Fulgar agents. The explosion in the main engine room ripped apart the vessel and a full quarter of the crew perished in the blast and resulting fires. The death of so many of his men still haunts Monmouth to this day. Before being given his next command Hugo was again promoted to Rear Admiral and took up position as Naval Intelligence Western Fleet Command, several years later found him as Chief of Naval Intelligence with the rank of Vice Admiral. When the Silence occurred Monmouth began his own investigation, at the same time as trying to discover what had happened, he began to investigate the senior officers of the Aes military, thus began a slow and systematic maneuvering which would place him on top as the Aide de Camp of High-Commander Vossler Stone. Following the fire in Lucidus Magus and the death of Stone, Hugo started pulling strings that would lead to him being elected by a two thirds majority to the position of High Commander. Personality: Hugo Monmouth is a calculating man, though he appears genial in manner. Many an adversary has thought he bested Monmouth only to find political advancement blocked, promotions denied or the assassin at his door. He is not an evil man, ambitious certainly, but everything he has done and every office he resided in was performed with one singular goal; to ensure the safety and continuation of the Aes State. He takes his role as High Commander with the utmost seriousness and his personality reflects this. Often he will preside over meeting whilst standing, and he prefers his aides to do the same. "I find meetings go faster and proposals are to the point when the parties involved have to stand instead of sit. It encourages progress!" he is quoted as saying. Some say he is arrogant, he would argue that he lacks the indecisiveness found in most people and that confidence is his greatest weapon. His rise through the ranks would certainly attest to this. An assertive personality, measured in his trust towards others. Not someone you would wish to double cross but certainly one you would want as an ally. Hugo Monmouth is a tall man, standing at 6ft 2" he strikes an intimidating pose. Armed with a Sabre and a trusty 8 shot revolver. Trade: Commander of Aes, Previous career in Military Intelligence, Naval Officer, Tactician  Username: Angry Raging HoneybearName: High Commander Vossler Stone MurderedAppearance: Vossler is above average height at six feet four inches with an average build. He has deep blue eyes and due to time out in the sun, his blonde hair looks to be white. Faction: AesAge: 24History: Vossler was raised by his father as far as he could remmber. They had lost his mother when he was a toddler to sickness. She was frail which allowed simple sicknesses to be deadly. Since Vossler's father wasn't just a military man but the leader of Aes many looked to Vossler to follow in his footsteps and take command. As a child he was taught minor things about swordsmenship and how to pilot the walkers. He was able to keep his father proud. But when he came of age and enlisted in the Aes military he swore he saw his father shed a tear. He rose through the ranks quickly which he felt was somewhat due to his father. But he always made sure to work hard in any position he was. When he was a high enough officer that he was in command of his own troops he was given a message he wished had never been. Learning that his father died from a large piece of armor plateing when inspecting a new war machine being built. From there Vossler became the leader of Aes and had to leave his troops to take command. Dealing with all the responsibilities that his father had dealt with. Personality: Vossler is very protective of his people. He grew up with only one parent and he didn't want that on any otherchild or worse having them be orphans. He is very kind but his kindness is hidden by a cold shell that has formed in the months that has been between the present and his fathers passing. He comes off very serious and distant.Trade: Never seen without a handgun and has been known to pilot Walkers well enough. He is also always with his saber that all Officers are trained in. Username: PenandSword81 Name: Susan Bregil Appearance: Faction: Aes Age: 29 years old. History: Susan Bregil has served with honor and distinction in her years in the Aesian military. She was born in Illum, however she and her mother moved to Port Stanley, where she became enamored with the Naval Ships that often came in and out of the port. Her mother was a naval engineer, serving on the Frigate Defiance. Her father had run out on the two of them just after Susan was born. Susan herself knew the inner-workings of most Naval Ships, through her mother’s hard work. It was no surprise when Susan applied to the Aes Military School at the age of 15, where she focused her career path on Engineering. However, at the age of 18, her engineering scores were phenomenal. She was first in her class, and posted the best scores in the history of the School in explosives. As such, Susan was selected for the military Special Forces operations. Her true love, however, was in the Navy. So a deal was struck. She would serve in the Special Forces for five years, at which point she would be transferred into the Officer Program for the Navy. Working on a four person team, Susan served with distinction in thirty classified missions over that time period. By her second year, she was leading the squads, though she had no official rank. After her term was up, she went to the Naval Officer Program. The skills she picked up while serving for Special Forces allowed her to excel in the program, finishing it in under a year. She was selected for her first duty as a Lieutenant on her mother’s old ship, the Defiance. During her service upon the ship, the Defiance was attacked by Ater Nox pirates. The Captain was killed in the attack, and Susan took command of the ship. Her superior knowledge of military tactics, ship maneuvers, and her courage in the line of battle turned the day as the Pirates were forced to tactically withdraw. From that point, Susan was promoted to Lieutenant Commander, and continued service on the Defiance. Her second combat experience upon the Defiance was against a rogue band of military personnel. Once again she served with distinction. The Defiance once again overcame overwhelming odds due to Susan’s service. She was then promoted to Commander, before finishing her four year tour upon the Defiance. At the age of twenty-four Susan had become a rising star in the Aes Navy. However, for the next two years, Susan was not promoted, seeing as how she refused all promotions in favor of working upon a ship. Stuck at the level of Commander, Susan racked up accommodations and medals. She turned them all down.
However, with the assassination of Vossler Stone, Susan was promoted once again. This time to Commodore Second Class, and given command of the new Dreadnought Monmouth named in honor of new High-Commander Monmouth. And Susan, finally unable to turn down such an offer, is expected to showcase the power of Aes military might. This time in the inevitable conflict with Lucidus Magus. And the High-Commander obviously believes that she is the woman for the job. Personality: Susan is snarky, she often complains about her job, and she is the most loyal Commodore in the navy. She is willing to lay down her life for her country and crew. That does not mean she is blind though. She follows orders, but will determine whether or not they are in the best interest for her country. Her moral code will never allow her to kill an unarmed enemy, even if they are an active threat. Instead she brings them back for trial in Aes, as War Criminals or Enemy Prisoners of War. At least that was what she did as a Special Forces Operative when sent after War Criminals. Now she merely forces enemies to Prison Camps, where their fate is decided by someone else. She had enough of playing Judge, Jury, and Executioner as a Special Forces Operative. Instead she believes herself an extension of serving her country, and instead operates on the belief that she is just one of many who are willing to do their job, no more special than anyone else. Trade: Commodore, second class Aes Navy, Dreadnought Monmouth Username: Jeff the Teumpetdude Name: Damian Winchester Appearance: Damian has a somewhat muscular build and stands at 6 feet. He wears a simple white tunic with a brown vest over it. Faction: Aes Age: 21 History: Damian wasn't born in Aes but has spent most of his life there. Abandoned before he could walk, The young thief spent a short spell at an orphanage before finding himself on the streets. Through some luck he became the errand boy to some of the best con men, and thieves in the city. From them he learned the craft absorbing everything they taught him, eventually became their partner. From one of these men he learned to fight, becoming quite apt at hand to hand combat and shooting. This allowed him to take on more dangerous jobs. He now spends most of his time planning jobs and taking whatever dirty work is needed all while trying to avoid the noise from the military and the other factions. Personality: Damian is very laid back and easy going. he is charismatic when needed and a general people person. His true feelings are seldom known as he is a great liar this also gives him an enigmatic presence. Trade: Thief, con-man, spy, assassin, errand boy, runner. Username: Bigfranklins13 Name: Cecily Sarah Elizabeth Hedan Appearance: Faction: Aes Age: 22 History: Cecily Sarah Elizabeth Hedan comes from the city of Konigsbergh. She, her parents, her brothers and sisters worked every single day to scrape by. The factories of progress and of Aes technological superiority they were called. These workshops; fueled by blood, sweat, steel, iron, and death; were truly the worst in the world. Cecily lost her father to an infection; her mother lost an arm trying to do the work of three men. All that’s left is Cecily; working day and night to provide money for her family. Most recently she has been transferred to the navy to keep the ships in tip-top shape. Personality: Life has brought her down; smiles rarely grace her face in recent years. She’s a workaholic, more due to need than actual desire. When she isn’t working she is trying to better her position; trying to improve her knowledge and see if that gives her an advantage and squeeze another promotion out of her body. Trade: Manual Laborer/Engineer Username: Bigfranklins13 Name: Philip Frank Crow Appearance: Faction: Aes Age: 38 History: Philip was born in a middle class family that scrapped enough money to send him to a university in Aes. There he studied reporting, and at the age of twenty-one; went on his first military expedition. In time he has learned the way that the military thinks; and blends in well. His presence is often over looked, giving him exclusive looks into how the military actually acts when not scrutinized. Under the pen name Frederick Eagle, he has penned quite a few stories about the world of military action and abuses of power. Currently trapped in the civil war, he has been sent to embed himself in an Aes unit and write about the effects of fighting a civil war for another country. Personality: He is down to earth, quiet, inquisitive and loyal. He asks questions, and never gives up a source. His goal is not a revolution, nor is it the status quo. For him the truth is the greatest prize of all. If justice is to prevail; and he knows that he must step on some toes and ask the questions no one wants asked. Armatus  Username: Carrion ReaperName: Palatine Valtio Thorben of Armatus MurderedAppearance:Faction: ArmatusAge: 45History: Valtio Thorben is a Higher Rat, a race of sentient rodents which normally prefer to live in large clans underground; however, a few decades ago, Valtio's grandfather Carsus led the Thorden clan above ground to learn of the human land, and they became highly proficient farmers and scholars. Over a long period of time, they became respected by the humans in Armatus for these proficiencies, and were accepted into their society.
In recent times, with the visions becoming more and more frequent and the nations rivalling each other for war, Armatus needed a powerful, strong leader whose vision could guide and protect them. Carsus suggested his grandson, Valtio, who was at the time away on a conquest on the other clans of Higher Rat. Valtio returned, and was made Palatine of the Armatus. He now rules them with a viligant militaristic approach, as he appreciates that they are one of the most vulnerable regions.Personality: Valtio is a wartime leader at heart, and so eyes the leaders of the other regions with great suspicion. He is pertually calculating and plotting, always looking for their next step, trying to forge alliance and espionage wherever possible (thankfully, the latter is something his species excells in). Whilst he can sometimes be a little rash or brutal in his approach, his grandfather's advice always sets him in good stead.Trade: Palatine (Prime Minister) Username: NexusScytheName: General Kirie Fuka-KamizuruAppearance:Faction: ArmatusAge: 23History: Kirie's mother was not the motherly type. Her surname was Fuka, and she was one of a four-man team of criminals, and was definitely what one might call the 'flirty' type - indeed, it was her main weapon as a fighter, through which she absorbed the techniques of others by kissing them. However, used this because of an abusive relationship she suffered with a man named Kamizuru, and since had used her feminine wiles as a weapon in a vane attempt to re-validate herself and her sexuality.
This all had a strong impact on Kirie. Whilst her mother was away committing crimes, Kirie had been raised in an orphanage, where the headmistress there - a strong, powerful woman who had fought her way to the top - inspired her to always strive to do better. Kirie took these ideals on, and grew up to be largely independant. Once her skills came to light, she promised to make a military name for herself to distinguish womankind as capable fighters.Personality: Kirie's personality is shaped by her past and attitude towards men. Largely, she loathes them. Her demeanour is cold, stoic, and unsocial - she knew early on that if she let people see her sensitive side, she would be walked all over extremely quickly. The simple solution is, therefore, not to have a sensitive side. She used this lack of emotion to climb to the top, and she despises women who flirt their wares for power (though she has been repeatedly told by people that she could well have done the same - that is, by people who received a sharp strike to the face a few seconds later).Trade: General Username: Sayaaya213Name: Mairead TheaisAppearance: Faction: ArmatusAge: SixteenHistory: Mairead was born to Orla Theais the heiress of one of the three blue blood families of Armatus, but considering her mother proved unsuitable for the title of heiress along with her mother’s several siblings and their children, Mairead was imbued with the burden of being the heiress. When Orla married her husband Demias she was disowned from the Theais family as they had not approved of the marriage, but when Mairead was born, they accepted Mairead as the heiress after a series of tests that worked like a game. Mairead grew up in a small cottage with her parents until she was about the age of four when her father Demias left them and disappeared. Orla continued to raise her daughter Mairead and sent her to an elite school as required by her father Cadem, the head of the family. At this school Mairead learned the basic subjects; mathematics, social studies, literature and science but she also had classes in the visual arts, music, dance, etiquette, diplomacy and tea ceremony. As a young girl she enjoyed the classes at first until she figured on her own what she was being groomed and molded to do and she began to rebel. Since she was already publicly declared the heiress, she knew that after the scandals with her mother’s marriage and her father’s disappearance, her family would not disown her. So at the age of eight she enrolled herself into the Armatan Military Academy where she learned tactics, politics, self-discipline and martial arts. At first she was picked on being smaller than the average child her age and because of her family background but she pushed through with a single minded determination. At the age of ten, Mairead was recruited to join the intelligence branch flying through the ranks, passing the training with flying colors, achieving a perfect record and had the most jobs under her belt by the time she graduated at thirteen, the youngest ever. During these school years the Armatan Ambassador, her grandfather, brought her along to the annual Festival of Peace in Lucidus Magus where she learned the game of the bureaucrat. Mairead then employed herself to the government working as an independent contractor, which basically meant she did all the dirty work for the government. These jobs sent her all over Armatus and even to the factions regions especially when dealing with their more shady businesses. She worked solo, pairs and even in teams, but she had preferred to work alone. Once she came of age at sixteen her grandfather, who was promoted to be one of the advisers in the cabinet, took advantage of Mairead’s education and encouraged the council to assign her as the new Armatan Ambassador. Mairead was not happy about this, she did not want to be tied down with a title which was why once she had turned sixteen she had planned to offer her services to all the governments. Most of the underground knew her by her code name “Ceron”, she had picked it herself, Ceron was the god of one religion or another of Armatus who determined which afterlife a person would go, they would go to one of the seven tortures of hell or they would go to paradise. Mairead knows nothing of her father except for his name and has spent years searching for him to no avail. She has assumed the name that he had given her mother was an alias and once she had determined that she had no leads on her father. She has inherited his powers, though she doesn’t know what they are or what they do so she had simply not experimented. She was well aware of what had happened to people who experimented with their powers, she even cleaned up after one experiment had gone horribly wrong. Personality: Mairead has trouble dealing with the opposite gender, especially father figures as she had watched her father choose to leave her and walk out the door. She also has problems with authority, she does not like being given instructions in general, when she has a job she has the employer sign a contract that she does things on her terms. Usually her first time employers complain but after they receive results they always seem to miraculously find more work and soon become her patrons. Her jobs have ranged from retrieval of a stolen item or person, incapacitation of a team or organization, kidnapping, interrogation and pretty much all the jobs under the sun. She never killed more often than not they went to sleep. One of the parts of her contract was that she would never kill as a job; she believed that there are things worse than death. More often than not the people she destroyed could never put themselves back together again. Mairead enjoys puzzles and games, especially in people. She enjoys people watching as one of her favorite hobbies along with reading and sneaking into places just because she can. Often times she lets herself get caught so she can escape, although she inherited her beauty from her mother she uses it to deceive her victims and sometimes she can use it to disappear into the crowd as if she was never there. Mairead is also very observant, when she watches people she learns their behaviors, their mannerisms and she takes mental note for when she’s pretending to be someone else. Of all things Mairead hates is people attempting to manipulate and intimidate her, it pisses her off all to hell. And what pisses her off the most are people manipulating, intimidating and bullying other people. The victims of her temper have had their lives so thoroughly destroyed where even if they moved to another faction they could never live a peaceful life. Her temper has gotten her into trouble from time to time but it hasn’t been anything she couldn’t handle nor has she ever lost full control. Due to her being of age now, her family has begun to take advantage or at least try to, which has made her hate her family. Their ambition for wealth and power is so completely insatiable she knows they wouldn’t hesitate to ask her to kill for it. After the Awakening, Mairead didn’t want the power or the crown, or at least, not for herself. She wanted it to change the world. It wasn’t for her, it was for the people who suffered under people like her family. She didn’t want power, she didn’t want a crown and jewels she wanted a peaceful life that she never had. She was sure what she would do with it once she got it, but she wouldn’t fight anyone for it, at least no one who didn’t have their own agenda that is. Mairead has sworn to keep the crown out of the hands of her family if it was the last thing she did.Trade: Ambassador of Armatus, Independent Contractor Username: PenandSword81 Name: Aedan Cossi Appearance: Faction: Armatus Age: 23 years old History: His youth was sacrificed to a monastery, where he was taught The Way. This way was based on three ideals. One) Good must triumph over Evil in the World. Two) Good must have the moral high ground over Evil in the World. Three) One must fight Evil in every corner of this World to make it safe for the innocents. These three concepts formed the basis of the fighting style simply known as The Way of the Fist. They used unarmed attacks in order to not kill, the greatest Evil in the World, according to the Way. These Warrior Priests taught Aedan from the age of three to twenty. From there he was released into the world to do Good. Though Aedan comes from the land of Armatus, he relishes the idea of fighting in Ater Nox, in his opinion the greatest source of Evil the World faces. It is with the three ideals of the Way that Aedan has started his journey in Armatus, to make some money and a name for himself. That is what will best suit him in order to defeat the evil forces of the world, and triumph in the name of Good. Personality: His happy go lucky attitude in life rubs some people the wrong way. He genuinely believes that everything will turn out for the best. Characterizing himself as the protector of the weak and downtrodden, he is not afraid to use his fists to protect others from those who are more powerful. His world viewpoint is very white and black. Either one is good or evil, no middle ground. Either one follows the path of Good, as set by The Way, or the path of Evil, those who oppose The Way. This has remarkably held firm even after his travels across Armatus. Trade: Martial Artist/Wandering Warrior Username: CrystilwynName: Nyrie TsukikimiAppearance:Faction: ArmatusAge: 24History: Nyrie was born on the streets and adopted at the age of four to a middle class family who worked the farmlands and Nyrie was happy. Their farm life was quite profitable and they even managed to own a small shop. However when she turned eight she learned that her adopted parents had been in debt to the mafia who tortured and killed her parents as they forced her to watch. The mafia then turned around and they sold her to the military where they tested her and found her to be one in one hundred thousand people. She had the natural skills and abilities of the people they sought. They trained her and honed her skills and she ascended the ranks. Eventually Nyrie lead her own corps group called the Corps of Shades where she began recruiting promising young girls around the age of eight and training them as she had been encouraging them to develop their own methods.
At the age of sixteen she saw promise in a young girl named Mairead who was a blue blood through and through, she recruited her and was her trainer and later on became her handler and finally her partner.
Nyrie does have a special talent for telling whether or not someone is telling her the truth and she enjoys exploiting this particular talent of hers in her interrogation methods which she describes as quite pleasurable for both herself and her "partner". There have been many times where Nyrie's partner has been sent to an asylum after being interrogated as they can no longer function in the real world due to her interrogation methods. No one has complained about her interrogation methods as they leave no mark, no blood or in other words nothing to clean up. Several factions have requested for Nyrie to teach it to their interrogators but Nyrie has yet to decide whether or not she wants to share her interrogation methods.
Nyrie also has the ability to hunt down any specific person as long as she has enough information to distinguish them among others, in fact she has often been employed as a hound or a tracker to find kidnap victims particularly with children by tracking their aura. Nyrie also has the unique ability to mimic a person and imitate them so well that only a DNA test can differentiate them.
Nyrie never found out why her parents were slaughtered in front of her for simply borrowing money, however she is still determined to find out.Personality: Nyrie is a bit of a push over compared to Mairead, however her training to be arm candy to elites far exceeds Mairead's as she had been trained in the arts of seduction as well. Nyrie has developed two different personalities as she works, one the seductress who lives for the pleasure of the moment and would do almost anything for that high that matches no other. Her second personality plays on manipulator and manipulated, sometimes she manipulates and sometimes she's the manipulator which is never consistent and tends to drive her targets insane before she kills them. More often than not Nyrie in her truest self is very different from her two developed personalities. Nyrie is in truth a homebody, if it can be helped she prefers to stay home and enjoy the simple things in life, the peace and quiet of Armatus is her home. Nyrie and Mairead's relationship has run so deep that Nyrie has developed a twin-like attachment to Mairead and can sense things before she realizes.Trade: Independent Contractor, Aura Hound, Interrogator

Ater Nox  Username: Digital Obsession Name: Alfred Sareno Appearance: Faction: Ater Nox Age:32 History: Alfred was raised in a normal family. Or, rather, a normal family for a practitioner of the dark arts. His parents made a decent amount of money doing odd jobs, and even more raising the undead for people. Those jobs were usually silent, and nobody was to know about them. Because of that, they never went by their real names when on a job like that, and they hardly allowed Alfred to sit in on their meetings, even when he came of age. He chose to practice Necromancy to carry on his family legacy of being some of the best. To this extent, he loves learning, and was always considered smart. As he grew to the end of his teens, he soon realized he was destined for greatness. His smarts far outclassed anyone else he knew, and his parents could see it as well. When he fell into his mid twenties, he decided that learning all he could about Ater Nox was the path he should take, and so that's what he did, proceeding to learn as much as he could about the city. There is still much he needs to learn, and it sometimes shows in his naivete. Once he got into his late twenties, he became the leader of a small orginized crime syndicate, mainly to test his ability at leading. He always did well, and even those who didn't agree with what they did knew he was a good leader. Upon hearing of everyone agreeing about his leadership, he soon set his sights on something much bigger than a simple leader of a gang of thugs. He wanted to sit upon the throne of Ater Nox. Now in his early thirties, his parents pulled some strings and got him planted upon the throne, earning him the title of Ruler of Ater Nox. Of course, this was not without the displeasure of the Council, and they are keeping a close eye on him. Should they find something unsatisfactory, he knows he will find himself fighting for not only his title, but his life. Personality: Alfred is often seen as kind, though when it falls down to a hard choice, he makes the one that he believes is right, no matter the consequences. Because of this, people often mistake him as hateful, and even merciless. He views weakness in people as a sign that they can be better, and he veiws strength in people as a sign that they can better their minds. There is no such thing as a perfect being to him. He usually takes his time to access a situation to the best of his ability, and he'll almost never panic. Trade: Necromancer; rising to Ruler of Ater Nox Username: Shinigami of the DarkName: Judith "The Witch Queen" HallowayAppearance: Standing at 5’ 4”, Judith is a rather petite woman, with silver hair that marks her as being of the Halloway bloodline. Her eyes are also dark, almost black, from extended dark magic use. Despite her age, she has a soft and youthful face, as well as a slender, yet curvy body. Faction: Ater NoxAge: 35(Though she appears to be in her 20’s) History: Judith was born into the Halloway family, a powerful family that once ruled Ater Nox with an iron fist almost half a century ago. Her family was known for their extensive use of Black Magic, as well as their skill and knowledge of it. They were also known for being one of very few Mystic bloodlines in existence.
Their rule was cut short 30 years ago, however, after the Nox Civil War. The war was ignited by rebels, who viewed the Halloway family as a “plague upon Ater Nox” because of the Halloway family’s constant use of Black Magic, as well as their high taxes and unfair treatment of the lower class. The war lasted for 3 years, and it ended with the death of Judith’s parents, and the installation of a new leader. Judith was practically a newborn, and though the rest of the world thinks her to have been dead, she actually survived.
She was smuggled out of the city by her father’s best friend, who took her out of Ater Nox, and into Thesaurum to live as exiles. Her Father’s best friend, Jenson, was very powerful in Black Magic and trained Judith in the arts of Black Magic in secret. They lived out in Thesaurum for a long time, and about 20 years later is when Jenson died. On his deathbed, Jenson told Judith something her father had told him on that fateful night when she was but a baby, the night of the execution of her father and mother. Judith’s father had told Jenson to take her away from Ater Nox, train her in the arts of Black Magic, and make her into a woman who would one day return to Ater Nox and take her rightful place as Queen of Ater Nox. Judith has dedicated her life to preparing for that very moment for quite some time, at least until she was noticed by the Council.
At the age of 29, the Council recruited her because she was a mystic, and a very powerful mystic at that. She spent a few years in the Council, but few outside of the Council knew her face and name. As the years went by, she managed to maintain her youth by sacrificing a young and beautiful woman with a powerful Black Magic spell, a spell that only a true Mystic could cast successfully. This spell is required every 10 years to upkeep her youthful appearance of 26.
By the age of 34, the Council made a plan to implant Judith into Ater Nox, and have her assassinate the Leader and take his place at the throne, so that the Council would have control of the great Faction and all its resources. 6 months later, after much planning and preparing, Judith successfully cursed the previous leader of Ater Nox, making it seem as if he died of an illness similar to that of Lady Aaren of Lucidus Magus. After he died, she publicly announced that she was taking back the throne that her family once had, and after 30 years of terrible leadership from the previous leader, many of the people rallied in support of the woman, calling her the Witch Queen and putting her into power, restoring her family’s bloodline to royal standards. Now, She rules Ater Nox with an Iron fist similar to that of her parents, and is currently leading Ater Nox into a Golden Age, though secretly under the guidance of the rest of the Council. Personality: Judith doesn’t have much compassion for those who are weak, and that’s partly because of her history and bloodline. She isn’t the quiet type, but is instead very outspoken, and ambitious, never hesitating to speak her mind or express her displeasure regarding anything. She also has a bit of a temper, and when she loses her temper, chaos and destruction are sure to follow.Trade: Mystic, Dark Mage, Council Member, and Queen of Ater Nox.  Username: Arcine Name: Aiden Hymns Appearance: She is average height with average proportions, but can seem to be a taller person at times. Her eyes are amber with hints of a deep red that are especially obvious in the light. Darker hair with various hues frame her face. Faction: She is originally from Ater Nox. Age: Nineteen History: Aiden's history is mainly characterized between a life in Ater Nox and Thesaurum Oppidum, learning not only the dark arts, but also how to potentialize her powers on the streets. Learning strengths from Armatus locals in Thesaurim Oppidum has been also been key in Aiden's stance as a threat. Aiden is hardly distinguished by parenthood by which she was raised as it was always her goal to do things on her own and she is barely involved with the small family now. Personality: On top of everything, Aiden is aggressive enough not to be walked over. She will look people in their eyes before they can. Although sometimes dominated by a quiet side and an unwavering muted look on her face, with enough energy, Aiden can attract a small audience, often collecting first impressions of a humorous, friendly, and alive personality. This is especially true when she is intoxicated. She is not trusting of others and often waits for someone's mistakes. Aiden puts high value on her alone time. It is usual that Aiden becomes concerned with how people choose to say things and interrogates them lightly to make sure she understands a hundred-percent what is being said. Although the look on her face can say different, Aiden is almost never serious and seems indifferent towards just about everything except the throne. This is seen in her sarcastic language. Hardened by crime and the death of two of her brothers, Aziz has become protective and possessive over those close to her. The dark magic that scars her body and mind from their deaths follow her relentlessly. Unable to cope with the loss fully, Aziz ran away from home. With the guilt of leaving her family behind Aziz turned to the crown for solutions. Believing that with the power of the crown she can restore her broken family, Aziz scours for the key to reclaiming her fragmented past.Personality: Creative and resourceful, Aziz is clever and quick on feet. She is assertive and aggressive. She prefers to work alone but welcomes others gingerly. She is slow to trust but typically friendly in demeanor. Rudeness presented with a smile, Aziz is obnoxious. Trade: Giant mechanical arms, capable of extending. Given to her on the day her brothers died, the arms are her connection to the dark magic that propels her towards the crown. Username: InvyD20 Name: Captain Red Appearance:Faction: Ater Nox Age: 23History: Red is one of the most feared pirate's all thanks to her father. He was the one that you never crossed, backstabbed, or even betrayed. He'd kill you before you were able to blink an eye. He was the big boss and he believed that if you needed a job done, it was better to just do it yourself. Before he died of an unknown virus, he was able to pass down his great knowledge to his daughter and a great power that has been passed down from generation to generation that eventually gave her the name, Red. After his passing, he left her one great surprise and that was his powerful Knighting Gale. To know the rest of her history, just ask the towns people, that if they dare to speak her name. Personality: Red is what you call the silent type. Never speaks unless she's ordering a command or negotiating terms. She can be very stubborn and a very determined individual. Though, if you get her angry, watch out!Trade: She always has a cutlass strapped to her left hip and the power to control one element but that will be known later into the story. Username: ca adamName: Layla MalakAppearance:Faction: Thesaurum OppidumAge: 13History: Layla was born and raised in Thesaurum Oppidum, but had always known that her true home was Ater Nox. Her family was one of the few lines of Mystics; her mother had traveled from Ater Nox for reasons not totally understood by Layla. She only knew it involved someone close to them, someone Layla knew had a vengeance so strong that it murdered her mother and left the girl orphaned on the streets of Thesaurum Oppidum. This vengeful shadow is now following Layla, for whatever reason barely understood by the girl herself. But something tells her that this person may not want to harm her....Personality: Naive as any child, wiser than many adults, yet ignorant of the powers manifesting inside her small body—Layla is an enigma even to herself. She had only ever known her mother, who raised her out of sight, safe from the eyes of those who might harm or separate them. She knows a couple of meditations and survival hexes to keep alive until she finds someone willing to take her in (which was unlikely—who in their right would take in a child Mystic?).
For a young girl, she is hardly distracted by the things that other girls her age worry over; her focus is always on her surroundings, and she is curious of any creature she comes across. Layla knows little of the outside world, but she is smart enough to not allow her curiosity take hold of her in a way that would cause any attention. She keeps with her a small, leather journal that is filled with her mother's scribblings about her Mystic heritage. Layla reads through it constantly, over and over. It is the only world she truly knows, yet even that holds mysteries she doesn't know how to solve.Trade: An aspiring healer. She also carries a karambit that belonged to her mother. It's the size of a large dagger in Layla's hand, but is quite small in the hand of a man. However, the blade is sharp and cursed; anyone who is cut by its blade, the afflicted skin and muscle will begin to slowly and painfully putrify. Layla does, though, know the counter-curse. Username: mini megitsuneName: Mahli DonovanAppearance: Lanky, with long dark hair and violet/maroon eyes. Wears many layers of clothing to hide the numerous scars and lacerations across his body. Faction: Ater NoxAge: 23History: Mahli is the son of two former mafia bosses. The Nox Kings and the Black Death families combined for a temporary treaty over two decades ago. After the death of Mahli's mother the treaty was called off, believed to be foul-play on the part of the Nox Kings. Mahli was taken in by the Black Death and raised by his father and his renegade band of mercenaries until his father's death. Both mafia conglomerates fell into Mahli's rule until he met Aziz's late brothers of the Nyx family. Eventually giving control of both to the Nyx family eleven years ago, Mahli has worked closely with the Nox syndicate, preferring to stay out of the direct seat of power, as an informant and a Method Man. Mahli has worked closely with Aziz most of her life, originally as her bodyguard and eventually as her underboss. Personality: Witty, insightful, and immensly clever, Mahli is a wonderful assasin and information broker. Revealing very little of his own personality to many, he is protective and kind to those he trusts. A charming man of few words, he relies on the impact of his actions to speak for him. He shows a very respectful tone and attitude towards Aziz and her family, but he is subserviant only to her. He is a man to do whatever is necessary to get the job done. He was orphaned at a young age and has been living on the street ever since. At a young age he learned to steal and some dark magic from a couple of people he trusted. Personality: He is more of a loner type. He doesn't really try to make himself noticeable since living in the shadows is all he knows. He is smart and is always looking to learn new things. Trade: Thief and spy. Knows a few dark arts, but nothing too big. Just like others in the fraction he practices dark magic, such as summoning creatures from a small pocket journal that he found on the ground one day. He only lived with his dad when he was younger since his mom died, but he got over it, like everyone else who lost someone.Personality: erious, can be hateful, and can be nice, but then again he is also crazyTrade: books and weapons Username: PirateQueen91 Name: Emily Lea Dawkins Appearance: Faction: Ater Nox Age: 23 History: Emily Lea Dawkins is the classic story of the wrong place at the wrong time. She was born to a powerful clan of dark witches. That, however, meant nothing, as Emily Lea Dawkins was gifted in only one form of magic. Healing, not commonly practiced by Ater Nox witches. Worse, her ability to control magic, despite countless efforts to try and teach her how, was erratic at best. It was clear she was a walking time bomb; at any moment prone to explode magic. By the age of fifteen, she was kicked out, and adopted the name Dawkins based off one fairy tale she had read a long time ago. It involved pirates, and Emily, not really sure what a pirate was, decided to try her hand out on that. Of course, this plan should have ended in failure, as she has no business holding a weapon. Ever. She was then tasked to help the chef. Two days later the whole crew had food poisoning. The only thing she was allowed to touch was the water. Lastly they had her scrubbing the decks. At least in this capacity, the men could stare at her fine a** all day. This too worked against her and the crew. A local mage was on transportation duty, and Emily was tasked with cleaning his room. No one is sure on the exact details, but the ship was suddenly down a mast. She was to be kicked off at the next port. The pirates considered openly killing her, but they were scared she might accidentally destroy them if they attacked. However, one night saved her life. Their ship attacked, by a rival pirate. Everyone was wounded, though they fended off their attackers. The last one to be wounded was Emily, due to her own clumsiness she fell on the deck and cut her arm. Suddenly she arose. White light emanated from her, as her powers amplified themselves. Possessed, she began healing wounded sailors with a single touch. However, this time was limited, and soon she was asleep, her body pushed past all human limits. Still, it was clear what the pirates were in her debt. So, they did the only rational thing. They let her off at the next port, screaming that the demon woman never come back. And for the past eight years, she has been bouncing ship to ship, trying to control her healing abilities. Of course, outside of the ‘healing hazes’ as she affectionately calls them; she is still her normal clumsy self. However, as her power grows inside her, she seeks someone who can tell her what exactly is happening. Before she can’t control the power any longer. Personality: She is an air-headed clumsy, loving woman. She knows not how to hate anything, a true spirit of love. She hears an adventurer’s call inside of her. She wants to see the world, and not through pictures. Trade: Experienced deck swab, currently between disasters. Also a healer of pirates. Name: Xavier Savageon Appearance: Faction: Ater Nox Age: 27 History: Xavier was always destined to do great things. From a young age he love to see how things worked, which pieces made up the machine. Which could it do without out? He applied this to every thing eventually fixating on man. He loved to watch how things could go astronomically different for people if one word was used instead of another, chemical reactions couldn't match the energy. He studied and mastered dark magic and military theory but politics was his calling. He loved the dark workings, the secret meetings, the constant interchange, how two parties would debate and restructure so that there could be an agreement that benefited each equally but only to the untrained eye. His political brain rivaled his ability with magic and soon Xavier was a piece int the large machine that was the Ater Nox council. He watched and learned waiting for his opportunity. Eventually it came. The council had resentfully crowned a new ruler and assigned Xavier as his personal adviser. The rulers right hand man. Personality: Xavier is sly, manipulative, organized, perceptive, and other wise extremely confident. He comes off as a condescending person often time belittling whomever he speaks with. He is constantly calculating and seeking information. His train of though is like that of Machiavelli, Cynicism and duplicity for the greater good. Trade: Political advisory, Military advisory, confidant Username: DemonicShadowWolf Name: Zakir Wajid Appearance: . Faction: Ater Nox Age: 23 History: Zakir is a rouge by trade. Trained young in the ways of dark magic, he's adapted it to stealth, infiltration, and assassination. After being away from his country on a string of missions for the last five years, he's finally completed his apprenticeship and has been given permission to return to Ater Nox. He has simple dreams of being a merchant, and has decided to do just that until his services are needed again. Personality: Zakir is a dynamic individual. Changing so many faces in his line of work, he has taken on a fit-the-mood type of personality. More often than not though, he is friendly with a warning tone when needed. He often intrudes personal space and has a 'break down the walls' attitude towards people. Trade: Information Gatherer/Broker/Assassin/Thief/Merchant Username: Huntress Karabella Name: Karabella Varaco Appearance: Long BLACK hair with bangs swept to one side, dark BLUE eyes with specks of light blue, pale skin. Some would describe her as a 'dark beauty', others would say else. Humans have been known to be attracted by her vampiric appearance (woops.) Faction: Ater Nox Age: Technically 3 centuries, but is 16 in body so therefore, a 16-year-old. History: Well, this is gonna be long.
The past?
Growing up in a loving clan, Karabella was almost always happy. She had no siblings neither any parents, for she was taken in by her clan's leader, king Kieran. Despite Karabella being the Black Angel, an entity that is feared by most vampires for she only feeds on vampire blood, her clan loved her nonetheless. She was raised into a strong lady by her grandfather. Not long after adolescence did she best all the clan's top fighters. Everything was peaceful. But then, a war brewed between the Varacos and an enemy clan, the Morois. She was only 14 at the time, but she already understood what the war was about;
Her.
The Morois had, apparently, found out that the Varacos possessed the greatest weapon a vampire clan could have. Somehow, Karabella managed to escape with her life and ended up in Ater Nox.
The current story?
The happy, cheerful girl has been replaced with a hard exterior. Karabella had kept a significant amount of gold which she almost never uses. Instead, she makes a living out of singing. She can be seen writing or drawing most of the time. Now, another war is brewing.
Can she sit back this time? Personality: Mysterious, distant, often cold. There's still a part of her heart that's maintained the kindness and warmth of her past life, but no one has been able to reach there for a long time. Trade: Singer (hah), up for hire

Lucidus Magus  Username: kdke Name: Aaren Neirin Bona Appearance: Faction: Lucidus Magus Age: 27 History: Aaren's is the current and youngest of Lucidus Magus's leaders. Her father was Lyonus Neirin Bona II, having died of a terminal cancer. It was a difficult moment in Lucidus Magus' history, seeing as the faction prided itself on the health and healing advances of its people, particularly on its leaders. Aaren, though, had grew up knowing her father to be healthy up until the last two years of her father's life. They had a strong relationship, albeit a complicated one. Lyonus wasn't always there to watch his daughter grow up, but when he was, Aaren had fond memories of their moments together.
Her mother was a woman named Miriam, an acolyte of the temple Bacca ex Castimonia. The temple is known for its cloistered lifestyle and strict rules. Few enter Castimonia, and fewer leave; it is meant only for those who are so dedicated to the healing practices that they have no other intention to live a for anything else until their deaths. The chase between Lyonus and Miriam was exhausting and longsuffering. The acrchacolytes of Castimonia discouraged Lyonus for many reasons, excluding their cloistered and strict fundamentals, one of the biggest being that Miriam was a prized acolyte in the temple. However, Miriam couldn't resolve her place in the temple over her growing love for Lyonus, despite the gated walls between them. She left Bacca ex Castimonia after deciding to become betrothed to Lyonus.
Miriam was heart broken when Lyonus died, and couldn't find the strength to lead Lucidus Magus without him. She entered back into Bacca ex Castimonia as a permanent acolyte and teacher for younger acolytes, apprentices, and initiates. Her daughter, however, wasn't abandoned; she was still able to visit her, and she received her educations from trusted guardians and tutors. She also received personal education in healing magic from Castimonia archacolytes.
When she was 20, her council announced her leadership over Lucidus Magus. For the next seven years, Aaren worked through her councilmen to set out what her father had worked hard to maintain—to keep a faction of high values and moral standards, one of peace and prosperity. However, her council took it upon themselves to handle a few proclamations of law and standards under their leader's nose for their own advantages. This practice has become more regular as Aaren became weaker, showing signs of chronic illness for the past five years. Many believe it is cancer, like her father, and Aaren is constantly visited by archacolytes from different temples, though usually by Castimonia. They have been working hard on finding where the problem lies, but the process of healing is more complicated than waving magic over someone's body. Aaren's chronic illness is a difficult situation, much like her father's, but healers know it is not cancer. It's something else. Personality: Aaren is gentle, wise, and quiet. Lucidus Magus calls her their "gentle and hidden leader," seeing as for some years, she rarely makes appearances in public anymore, but when she speaks, she always speaks with heart and tenderness towards those she leads. However, there are those who think she's too soft, perhaps due to her sheltered life by her parents and guardians, and her illness. She isn't ignorant, but is naïve of many of the inner workings of her council. Little does Aaren know of the politics her councilmen are involving themselves in behind closed doors, but it's through great amounts of trust that Aaren has yet to question anyone.
When faced with a dilemma, she's quick to want to fix it. She allows no delay or second guessing. At the same time, she is sensitive to people's words and opinions—she can be easily affected and persuaded by those who don't agree with her, only because she wants to please everyone. This has been a major weakness for her. She also values a strong sense of charity, and gives to temples regularly in tithing and for any particular needs. She passionately supports the healer community, mostly because of her personal connection to it. His mother still lives in Bacca ex Castimonia, and her guardians still help her to strengthen her leadership skills despite Aaren's stubborn behavior towards being a people pleaser (though she doesn't truly understand that's what she is).
Aaren is a lover of Lucidus Magus literature and architecture, and can be found in her manor's library looking through blueprints and books. She loves to work with her hands, though because of her weakness, she is stuck envying those who work on her architectural creations through the faction for him. She has helped to make Lucidus Magus more beautiful and celestial through her imagination and art, and it's one of her only ways of communicating her love for her people and home. Trade: Leader of Lucidus Magus. She also has acolyte-level skills in healing, but plans to advance her skills when she recovers from her illness. Username: TheElvenSamuraiName: Ace EverwindAppearance : Ace is of average height, average weight. wears a brown coat and brown hat, brown trousers, and a brown vest over a white undershirt. He has brown hair and blue eyes. Faction: Lucidus Magus, Currently employed by AesAge: 22ishHistory: Originally from Thesaurum Oppidum, Ace was lucky enough to grow up in a middle class family who didn't live on the streets. His father was a tinkerer and inventor. His mother was from Lucidus Magus and was a healer but not an extremely good one. Ace started to exhibit a gift for engineering like his father by age 10. At age 11, Ace's mother used his connections in Lucidus Magus to send him to a school in the peaceful nation. Though he loved it, he missed home dearly. At age 17 he had received word that his parents had been killed by a Novum Fulgar officer. Ace used his talent for engineering to invent a new type of gun powered by steam and magnets. He then sharpened his skills with the rifle and become a mercenary. Though he doesn't talk about his home in Lucidus Magus, he made a vow to protect it. In order to do this, Ace recently accepted a contract from Aes. Getting to take a crack at Novum Fulgar was a nice bonus for the young man.Personality: Generally friendly, Ace seems to love his particular line of work even if he is supposed to be neutral to the conflict. He gives almost everyone a chance before making a judgement about them. One way to piss him off is to be Novum Fulgar or threaten his home. Trade: Mercenary by trade, engineer by heart. Username: kagomewanabeName: Lucy BrettAppearance: Has long hair that she keeps tucked under her hat. She is rather short.Faction: Lucidus MagusAge: NineteenHistory: Originally a commercial air stewardess, she is now a member of a group dedicated to peace between factions. The group voted her as ambassador to travel to other factions because of her experience with traveling.Personality: She is not necessarily shy, as much as she finds it rude to speak unless someone has spoken to her. She can have a temper but she ends to keep her feelings to herself.Trade: With little training in any kind of combat all she carries is a little dagger. Username: CerianneName: Emily O'neill Appearance:Faction: Ludicus MagusAge: 13History: Emily has had a very proper youth. she grew up with her parents, went to school, took days off for being 'sick', played outside with peers and whatsoever more. The one special thing about her being alive was her birth. Emily was born dead. hours after the bad news was told, and she had been made-up to get burried, a soft light had started to shimmer around the dead baby's body. just a few moments after that Emily had opened her eyes, and she had started to cry.

It had been called a healing miracle, yet after that one time Emily had never shown a hint of even posessing magic anymore. the curent thought of it being that she had been a powerfull magae, but that she had already depleated everything she posessed regaining her life. Personality: Blunt, cheerful, a just-average teenager.Trade: Besides her studies, she works as a messenger, delivering messages and mail from one person to another.  Username: Son of the HarpyName: Emer AecusAppearance:Faction: Lucidus MagusAge: 33History: Emer Aecus was the son of Ser Knight Aecus and his wife, Councilwoman Aecus. Both served Lucidus Magus faithfully until Emer's father died of a fatal wound when he was summoned to travel with Lord Lyonus, the former leader of Lucidus, to a neighboring faction. Ser Knight Aecus defended the life of his lord when an assassin tried to take it. He killed the assassin before the man reached Lord Lyonus, but at the price of Knight Aecus's own life. Lord Lyonus grieved his death, having seen the knight as a trusted and honored protector of the Bona family. Councilwoman Aecus went into mourning and never remarried.
She raised her son on her own, but was able to offer Emer some of the best schooling Lucidus offered. However, the boy found himself distracted and obsessed with the memory of his father: he promised to become a knight just like him one day, and begged to be trained. His mother, though still long suffering after the death of her husband, finally consented after refusing her son for many weeks. Emer began training before his teen years, and progressed quickly. By the time he was in his early twenties, he became a master of swordsmanship and trained others below him; he also was requested to offer special training sessions to Lucidite Patricians.
Emer was knighted in his late twenties by the Council and Lady Aaren Neirin Bona. He finally became what he vowed as a child to become: a knight, just like his father had been long ago. After serving inside the Herus manor for a year, Lady Aaren made Ser Knight Emer her personal guard. He was happy to accept his new position, not only because she was his leader, but because their fathers had been close; and because they were close, Emer knew Aaren when he and she were both children. In some instances, they were able to enjoy their childhood together; after Emer accepted becoming Lady Aaren's Ser Knight, he found that she had never forgotten that friendship they once had, even if they couldn't fully express it in their positions. Personality: Ser Knight Emer is a quiet and introspective man. He doesn't say much, but when he does speak, he does so with a sense of conviction and purpose. Because of this trait, he also approaches his place as Lady Aaren's Ser Knight with even greater conviction, but also works harder than he can sometimes manage. There has been more than one time that Aaren has had to argue Emer into taking a moment of relaxation from his position, not just for his own sake, but also for hers; she needs him to be focused and strong, especially when she was outside of the manor. Indoors, though, he was tecchnically able to relax more often. He enjoys talking about certain pieces of Lucidite literature with Aaren, and is also the first person to see every sketch of architecture she has ever drawn.
Emer also approaches his friendship with Aaren with caution, not because he doesn't want to be her friend, but because he doesn't want to create a liability, and in turn create a situation for Aaren that may be troublesome. His attitude is to watch everything from afar, and only come in close when asked to, even though he is constantly tempted to reciprocate Aaren's sibling-like affection towards him. Emer has adopted a patience, though, that a knight of his calibre is called to adopt for the sake of his Lady and faction. There have been times when others would be faced with chaos, and can only react in chaos, where the Ser Knight can look into the chaos and keep his ground, steady and prepared to respond. However, he cannot always help becoming emotionally invested and distressed when his family, friends, and Aaren herself are in troubled situations; he can find himself compromised to the point where he will obsess about the issue until he finds a satisfying solution.
He spends his free time training, either with sword or magic. As a knight, he has advanced skills in kinetic and elemtnal magicks, but uses them solely for defense. When he is not training, he will do his rounds about the Herus manor, making sure the other knights and their esquires are in their places. To make those guilty pay for this heinous crime, Tristan enlisted into the military. He served for thirty-five years; before retiring with no major black marks against his records. At his retirement party the second terrorist attack took place. His whole family was killed; this time in protest of Lucidus Magus military policy. Finally; something snapped. Barely escaping with his own life, Tristan gave a speech that later became his manifesto: Lucidus Supreme.

This alliance has served them well, as Helliant power increases in the world; so does the Killfoyle. In fact the two families are closely linked by affairs, marriage, and the most important thing of all: money. Lady Arrah; however, does not claim close ties with the Helliants. Instead; as the current heir to the Killfoyle lands, Arrah instead came into close contact with the Queen. Appointed to the council of the Queen; she became renown for keeping her hands clean from the political filth. Indeed, with the disappearance of the Queen; she resigned her position, unwilling to serve on a group that she felt did not serve her best interests. In turn she has slowly built an army; training a militia force pledged to her and only her. This movement was merely a smoke screen however. He was the one who protected her from the world, becoming her strong knight in shining armor. However, as time passed, and he grew older, a disease of the mind began to take him. His armor was no longer shining; it was ravished with the blood of many. He had served as a mercenary between his twenty-third and twenty-seventh years, as was the way of his order. He had seen firsthand the massacre of Saint Pelobish Cathedral. He himself led an assault on a holy temple of the western ‘savages’. He was no longer the knight in shining armor. He was an Inquisitor for the Holy Order he serves; though he speaks not of its name. Just who pulls the strings of this black knight, no one truly knows. Novum Fulgar  Username: bluehaze94 Name: Arcana AeonAppearance:Faction: Novum FulgarAge: 24History: When Arcana was born she was kept a secret from her father by her mysterious mother in order to protect him. Then one faithful day when the blind beauty realized the impending truth of her contract and the consequences of her affair she gave the child to the father. The father was confused at first but then he soon realized the intensity of the situation, so he kept off the grid with his new baby girl. The child was named Arcana and she was raised to view the cruel world in its true form, the father never sugarcoated anything. That was the way things were from her early start which shaped her through the course of time.
Novum Fulgur became her playground as she grew in age and soon enough she was gaining more respect and power among the people. At the tender age of 21, Arcana became the leader of Novum Fulgur. It became her will to protect the the people and continue with the superior technological enchantments. The humorous part was that not many knew of Arcana's lineage and the mother who gave her powers from another land. But of course that was not important, what was to Arcana was protecting the land and having a little fun doing it. Age: 46 years old History: Scientia is a self made man. He was born in the poorest of neighborhoods. It was early on that he found his greatest gift, perfect memory. This would allow him to avoid those who would mean him harm. Joining a gang at the age of ten, he quickly rose in the ranks, bringing in a small fortune for himself and the gang. By twenty he had already turned the gang into a well oiled business, his hobby of reading the works of great economists and business men allowed him to build an efficient machine of information trading. At twenty three, the gang had disappeared from the streets; the only one left was the man with the moniker of Scientia. No one truly knows what happened to completely dismantle his money making machine, but theories are as wild as Scientia had them all killed.
For the next ten years Scientia made a name for building business and running off with monster paydays. Indeed, his fame and fortune grew hand in hand. He was a commodity for the highest bidder. But his plans were larger than that. Suddenly he wasn’t for hire any more. He still conducted business, of a differing nature though. He traded information. Richer than he could ever imagine, his motives for information trading changed. It became about survival, not money. Have enough information, and he could ensure that no one would be able to touch him in these turbulent days. And the rise of Scientia was complete. Personality: Scientia is nothing but polite. He knows how the business works, if people like you, they are more willing to provide information. He’s charming, a perfect gentleman. He is completely adaptable to any situation. He was taken from them at a young age, and thrown into an intense training program. There he met, Tank. She was a few years younger than him, and reminded him of his sister. So he immediately grew very fond of her, and very protective. They did what ever they could for each other to help them survive. He holds her very dear to his heart after going though what they did. For the first few months he didn't really understand why he was chosen to be a trained killer. But soon after training he realized everyone there had a power of some sort. And being an earth elemental, he was a prime subject. Though he wasn't exactly keen on the idea at first, he soon realized it was either obey or die. It wasn't long before he had perfected the skill he had been given. He learned to love being a trained killer, seeing it as some sort of game if you will. One night after a job Tank and Sirus ran off into the night. Fleeing away from Novum Fulgur, and the brutal company they worked for. Currently working as bounty hunters, assassins, and what ever else they can manage. Never really settling down in one faction. Personality: Sirus is very nonchalant, and funny for the most part. Very laid back, and easy going. Until it comes down to business, then he becomes a relentless killer. Too young to realize how powerful she was, she hadn't the slightest idea why she had been taken. Her family murdered. All she knew was that she was now alone, and she had to do whatever it took to survive. So she went through the brutal training program, no questions asked. Soon after she started she learned that she had telekinetic powers. And the people there helped her learn how to control them, as she could. About two years later, she met Sirus. He reminded her of what life could be outside this life they lead. He gave her hope. So they got through the program together. And even worked together under the companies orders for a few years. But one day they had enough, and decided to leave. So they ran, and never looked back. Personality: Very harsh, and cold. At first impression she is very intimidating. Somehow, PSU99919 (later to name herself "Nina") was formed with a mistake. As the company expects nothing less than perfection with its units, Nina was supposed to be discarded, but survived shutdown and found herself dumped in the scrapyards. She doesn't know why she was discarded, but she yearns for an answer. The mistake is not obvious. Something hidden in her is somehow... less than perfect. Personality: Nina is young and naïve, even though she was designed to be an adult. Her experience with the world started harsh and unfriendly. She is curious about the world and wants to experience it in hopes that maybe she'll find a place to call home, where her superiors will accept her and utilize her despite her imperfection, whatever that imperfection may be. She is tender and gentle, and unfamiliar with violence, war, and the meaning behind cruelty. She was designed with the intentions to serve, granting her an instinct to be generous and helpful. She carries this intention overzealously, desperate to be useful to where she can come across as a nuisance and a pest to many. She is unusually emotional for a robot, as she has been taken out of her intended environment. She wants to belong, and will step over boundaries simply to have a home. Fair skin and wise gaze hide the true intentions of the master criminal.Faction: Thesaurum OppidumAge: 31History: Chance hails originally from the rural province of Armatus where he spent his youth working on his parent's farm. He had no aspirations outside of farming in those days, but as with all boys coming from the rural area, the big city held much temptation. He was scouted in Armatus by his soon to be mentor in crime, Indigo Faust, head of the Faust Crime Family in Thesaurum Oppidum. Indigo's initial interest in the boy was purely as an enforcer due to Chance's incredible strength, but upon getting to know him found a rapier wit hidden behind the muscle-bound facade.
Chance made his bones in the organization as an enforcer when he moved to the city shortly after, but the boy showed such promise that it wasn't long before he was learning the ins and outs of the 'family business'. Of course in the tradition of a power hungry patriarch, Indigo Faust was slow to teach and quick to reprimand for the smallest mistakes. But eventually with a combination of his mentor's life lessons and knowledge gained from internal sources, it wasn't long before Chance's charisma had earned him a following.
With a knack for making money, thinking outside the box and a leadership style that made him both loved and feared, it wasn't long before his mentor and he were battling head to head for the soul of the organization. There is much speculation to the final hours of Indigo Faust's life and the role Chance had in it, but what is known are the months leading up to it and the havoc it wrecked on Thesaurum Oppidum and it's residence. That is the short and long of how the prince took up the crown and began his long journey as King of his own criminal organization with aspirations reaching ever higher.Personality: Chance is a pretty laid back individual for having the weight of such responsibility on his head, but it is that same coolness that is in such stark contrast to his rare outbursts, making them all the more frightening to behold.Trade: Gangster Username: StrictEnvyName: Manson HivesAppearance: He has eyes that look like they've seen it all; eyes that seem like they don't capture light. Dark pockets reside underneath them. He's unkempt. Tangled hair, wrinkled clothing, and scruff all suggest this. He has a constant look of listlessness on his face. He is tall and seems to get thinner every day, adding to his unhealthy look. [x] [x] Faction: Thesaurum OppidumAge: Twenty-fiveHistory: Manson had been charming, young, and in love. First impressions were never his difficulty. He's biggest flaw was how quick he would interest in things and soon he would be alone, unable to tell the difference between then and before. A photographer with a gun, Manson used to publicize what criminal activity of the streets on Thesaurum Oppidum he would pass by. Living where he did, this was never a hard task. Manson had no mission in surfacing crime. If this was the case, self-photography would have been popular for him. In fact, Manson had no mission other than to capture what would never be possible again: what few minutes there were left to a life, the last time a man would be considered handsome, and etc. Manson's photography stopped however. There was nothing new he could capture.
The day came in which Manson would find himself standing in front of a court. It was then that he wished he had a camera in his hand. Personality: He's not happy, but he isn't sad. He isn't satisfied. He is entirely dissatisfied. Trade: Photographer  Username: PsykfallName: Trystan D'LucartAppearance: Trystan is approximately 195cm tall and weighs about 83kilos. He is tattooed on his shoulders, chest and neck and down his back al the way to his tail bone. He also has red and blue "flame" tattoos on both of his wrists. He is more than often seen wearing a red hooded, open shirt, black pants with rivet belts and dog tags and black boots. He also wraps his wrists and hands in bandages from time to time. He also has four piercings in his left ear and five in his right.Faction: Thesaurum OppidumAge: 26History: Trystan was -together with his 6 year younger brother - raised by his single mother in Thesaurum Oppidum. He doesn't remember his father, but he knows he was a good man. When Trystan was eleven, his mother noticed that something was slightly wrong with her son, but it wasn't until he was 16 that he was diagnosed with a slight schizophrenia. Soon after his 20th birthday things got worse and he became more violent which resulted in him being kicked out from the house since he caused too much trouble her his mother and little brother. Trystan has since then been wandering around and about trying to settle down but never staying in one place for more than a year. Personality: Trystan is a somewhat crazy guy and often acts spontaneously without thinking of the consequences. Even though he doesn't look very bright, he is actually a rather smart person. But he is sadly slightly schizophrenic, hence his crazy, spontaneous side. He is often seen mumbling or talking to himself as well. Still, he is a very caring young man when his mind is at ease and he acts like a "normal", sane person.Trade: He uses metal knuckle claws to fight and is often seen with them. Other than that - his many tattoos are his biggest trademark.  Username: Valyrian Steel Name: Benjamin Black Appearance: Ben is of medium height, with soft hazel eyes that give his gentle soul away. He also keeps his hair cropped short, in favor of efficiency as opposed to fashion. Faction: Thesaurum Oppidum Age: 26 History: Ben’s ancestry can be traced back to Ater Nox, where his father and uncle grew up as small children. Ben’s father was an ambitious man, as was his uncle. Both men were involved with the Nox Syndicate in its early days as teenagers, and a lot of their skills came from the time spent with traveling mercenaries, learning what they could, as well as learning from the dark mages of Ater Nox. There was one thing that separated both of them from the rest however, and it was their desire for equality and freedom for all humanity. Eventually, Bens father developed the idea for a group similar to the Nox Syndicate, but a group that would have a different motive than that of the Syndicate. The group, that would later become the very powerful Agency, would be used to overthrow corrupt leadership, and free humanity from the chains of monarchy. Eventually Bens father and his Uncle laid the foundation for this group, by setting up the blueprints of the now nefarious Black Market, and the underground trade routes that it would utilize. Shortly after is when Ben was born, by a woman that Bens father had slept with at a tavern in Thesaurum. Bens father was killed shortly after Bens birth, however, by a member of the Syndicate. Bens uncle then adopted him, and took him in as his own, and trained him in the arts of stealth, dark magic, weaponry, and combat. During this time, at a young age, Ben had become a skilled asset to the Agency. By the age of thirteen, Ben was already carrying out missions with other trainees of the Agency. When Ben turned 15, he was deemed ready to take on the final test that would mark him as a full-fledged Agency Assassin: Survive by himself out in the west for 5 years.
Ben never speaks about what happened to him out there during the 5 years, but whatever it was, it changed him. He was hardened, and ruthless. He also brought back with him a large black direwolf named Asher, a wolf larger than any that his Uncle had ever seen before. Somehow, Ben had managed to bond with this ferocious animal, and it has been his companion ever since.
After the 5 years he spent out in the wild, he was named one of the Agency Hands. There are only two hands in the Agency, and they only answer to the Head, who was his Uncle. After a few years in service to the Agency, is when Ben further developed his knowledge of Dark magic, and its use that could be put towards aiding him during missions. He learned how to silence his footsteps completely, how to climb walls, and how to curse weapons so that they poisoned their targets. He even learned how to change his face to take on the appearance of another.
During this time is also when he used black market imports from Novum Fulgur to mechanically modify his body. A bionic eye replaced his right eye, which gives him an edge in marksmanship, and with scouting. He uses dark magic to make it appear as an actual eye, however, and few know that he has the bionic eye. He also replaced his right forearm with a mechanical arm, that houses a built in dagger that can be extended out of his wrist. The arm is also extremely strong, and able to contest the strength of mechs as well, but only when used in combination with a dark magic spell that his uncle taught him.
Ben had dedicated his life to the Agency, and to being one of its most useful members. By the age of 24, is when the awakening happened, and the vision Ben saw, was a vision of peace. Unfortunately, his uncle somehow never woke when it happened, for he had slipped into a coma from it. His uncle died a year later after never waking up from the coma. In his Uncles will, the entire Agency was left to Ben, for it was what Bens father would have wanted for his son. Ben has been the Head of the Agency ever since, leading it in the direction he saw fit. Very few people know who Ben actually is, for many know him as the head of the Merchants guild, the front and disguise for the Agency. Personality: Ben has two sides, both of which are unique in modern society. One side, his playful, yet ambitious side, is the side of him that everyone else sees. It usually works to his advantage at times, for it ensures that enemies underestimate his capability as the Leader of the Agency. He tends to be somewhat social, though deep down he is more of a lone wolf, since he was an Agency assassin for the majority of his life. He can be a caring individual, but knows when to be stern and harsh, as any good leader would.
His other side is a side that no person alive has seen, for it’s the side of him that only his victims see right before they perish at his hands. This side of Ben is the ruthless killer, his darker side. The only time he reveals this side of himself, is when he is on a contract, or disposing of an enemy of the Agency. Altogether, Ben is an interesting fellow, who many enjoy being around, though very few outside of the Agency even know of his darker side. If it has to do with war, the Helliants have their hands all over it. A large family from the upper echelons of society, the Helliants have only one allegiance, the family. An almost mafia like family, they employ many people to help run the business of profiteering on blood. Timont Helliant, despite his young age, runs the family weapon trade. His job is to sell weapons to everyone and prolong any conflict for as long as possible. His father was actually the one who formalized the deal with the Thesaurum Oppidum in order to expand the business to meet demands in every single faction. Of course, the Thesaurum gets a cut of the profits, and a discount on all deals. However, with the tragic death of Sigmund Helliant only six months ago, the highly educated eldest son of Sigmund, Timont, took the reigns. A bit of a wildcard for everyone involved, all Timont cares about is making his family as comfortable as possible. If that means diversifying his products to politics as well, so be it. For him, the difference between the two are negligible, only he causes less bloodshed. Timont’s strongest weapon is the family ties his father, and grandfather formed. His path is simple. Just keep going forward. His brothers can take care of the plans. He just means to capitalize on everything. Personality: He is a power ball businessman. He will do anything to get his way, say anything to make an extra bag of gold. He can be charming, rough, and dismissive. In the end of the day, he is a business man, able to adapt his stance in order to increase his profit margin. His only loyalty is to the people who will allow his profits to increase most. Unknown Land to the West  Username: Alexandria Joan/ Lovewitch101Name: Moa VandervalAppearance: Moa's Wolf Form Faction: Unknown lands of the westAge: 22History: Moa, a girl that is unlike any other. Her life story is something most would only think is fairytale, but for her it was life. She isn't one of those people you would be call human at all. She was something more.... something inhuman. The reason why is because of her beast form that she would take on whenever she was in the greatest danger. She didn't know about if for a long time, but then one day when she was aware in that form she could only see a gigantic black wolf staring back at her with golden eyes. However, this isn't where it all began. Her mother and father were killed when she was twelve and ever since then she had to fend for herself so one day she found a way to fend off the beasts of this land and even fight them for food. She had become like a beast herself until she found out that she was in fact a beast in human skin. Username: Nocte Sever Name: Maliarc Appearance: Faction: The West Age: 23 History: From a young age he realized that he had an affinity for magic. His father knew it, but his mother refused to accept it. She had wanted a normal family. Seeing that she could not get that from this family, she decided it was in her best interest to leave. And so, at the age of 10, his mother left him. It wasn't long after his father flew into a depression. The years to come would challenge Maliarc's abilities more then he could ever have imagined. His father quickly died at the hands of an illness, and he was forced to fend for himself. Due to this, he has a hard time adapting to any form of civilization, and he often comes off as stone-hearted. Personality: Although he may come off as stone-hearted, he is a big gushy man inside for anyone who has suffered as he. He often offends people with his offers to help, though he means no harm. His time in the West alone sharpened his wits, but also made him extremely naive in any conversation including any kind of technology. As he rounded age 20, he experimented with illegal sorcery, and had almost succeeded. However, he ultimately failed, and his price to pay was his appearance. He was only 23, however he had grey hair and the skin of a much older man. He often confuses people by talking like a young man, but looking like a grandpa. Once Sara had someone to love who would speak back to her. Once, she would have fallen asleep with those whom she loved surrounding her. But that was once, a long time ago.
Four years ago, Sara’s family lived to the East, in some city. She changes what city she lived in each time. Then a fire broke out in the apartment that she lived in. The area they lived in was poor, with masses of people living in unsanitary and unsafe conditions. Someone a floor below them lit a fire. Her mother and father were killed in the blazes. Her baby sister died in a hospital six hours later. Sara was lucky that she was at the market buying some groceries at the time. Instead of living with some stranger; she ran west. And she hasn’t stopped running since. The skills she’s learned has been beat into her through trial, error, and near death. Her education is poor, but her survival has taken precedence of any form of learning. It’s how she knows what to eat, what not to eat, how to heal, to build a fire, to defend herself with a staff, even when the enemy have weapons so much more powerful. It’s taught her when to fight, and even more importantly, when not to fight. Personality: Despite her rough speech and mistrust of any human stranger, she is a kind person at heart. She is chatty, inquisitive, and full of life. She talks a large game, but she could never actually hurt any innocent with the exception of bashing her healing staff on their skull. Not that she can’t protect herself, indeed her chatty personality belies a shrewd mind that can detect any weakness from an aggressive attacker. But she’d prefer to talk her way out of the situation. Her favorite animal is the bird, which flies oh so high and free. Often the hut she lives in is full of injured birds she found out in the wild, and is now nursing back to health, and all without an ounce of healing magic in her blood.
