Good afternoon, evening, and morning to you all. I feel like a general introduction is hardly necessary at this moment, so I will skip it. I'm here to address some points that have been bugging me for quite some time now. The reason I am avoiding the use of a Guild Announcement is that they're generally intrusive and people won't really read them unless they really want to. So I figured that I'd simply skip the announcement and be more direct in my approach to giving you all a choice in whether or not you wish to read this. The ones who choose to read it, and are still willing to return this guild back to it's former glory, please notify so by being polite enough to post something in the thread's response section. Thank you.

On to business, then. As you all most likely know, Gaia has changed over the past four years (I use this time segment due to the fact that I am just now hitting my third month past four years on this site). The Market Place has seen incredible inflation, fashion has become almost monopolized several times, etc. Even the people are changing on this site. When I joined, Gaia seemed to be in it's "Golden Age," as I'd like to call it. During this time, prices were fair, fashion varied, but most importantly: people had respect for others. Friends were more easily made in the past. I remember how I could go into a rally one day and come out with ten new close friends. Even the "newbies" were treated with respect. I remember the presence of the obvious gaia veterans (a position that I seem to have adopted as my own in the past year or so) who were always more than willing to take in newbies as their friends and help guide them on their way to... not-so-newbie? Sure, we'll use that term for now.

All of that seems to be gone now. Replaced by ignorance, disrespect, and what seems to be an overarching snobbish personality. When I log onto gaia, I generally spend some time in rallies or towns observing the conversations of others. Quite often I have noticed a newcomer try to join into the conversation, only to be met with what seems to be behavior you'd expect a rich lord to show towards a peasant in stories of the 1700s (forgive my horrible grammar in this statement). This is often mixed with a sixteen-year-old's idea of how to properly use the language found in Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet."

I don't really know why I'm posting all of these things, to be honest. I suppose it's to show that I miss what this guild had become: a family. And I want that family back.

With Love,

Seraphiel the Forgiving
