Personality: There's no place like home. Histith knows this! Where she can be with Iona is her home, wherever that may be. In the sky, in the water, in their Weyr. This dragon understands the connection between Iona and her brother; and she reacts to it appropiately. She will happily look after any young ones that come near--but especially Iona's companions. She is endlessly patient and loving towards all, seeming to have a docile temperment. Gentle and warm like the rays of the afternoon sun, she is open to all.

They may not recieve the same amount of love and care towards her rider. Iona is the one Hisith chose. The great amount of love she has for her rider knows no bounds. She will happily do anything Iona asks. Or believes Iona will ask.

If ever Iona needed a pick me up, Hisith is the dragon to go to! She will quite cheerfully tell Iona all about the glorious things her rider hasn't seen. Does her rider see the sun? It has a beautiful color to it today. The moon? It has a ring of changing colors around it. The ocean is a beautiful blue! They should go swimming! Or play! Or visit friends!

Though Hisith is a small green, and often clumsy, she never gives up. She knows she'll get better. She hopes she'll be seen for her talent, rather than her size. She constantly hopes for the best; bathing Iona and anyone nearby with her optimistic attitude.

Name meaning: Histie, an alternate name for Greek goddess Hestia, also known as Vesta in Roman myths, was the goddess of hearth and home. Of family relationships. Most of all, however, of hope and those emotions surrounding it. After all, hope resides best at the hearth.

Name: Morrigath
Color: Green
Size: Above average for a green.

Personality: With all the vanity of a queen, Morrigath can be difficult to get along with. She has a very definite options and isn't afraid to voice them. Her most scathing remarks are often saved for her rider. There is a very fine line between what is proper and what is not, and she is sure to let her rider know when she has crossed it. This green is incapable of keeping her own opinions to herself, often pointing out the flaws she finds in both her rider and those they associate with. Her nature tends to upset even the more mild-mannered of dragons. Morrigath does not take criticism very well when the tables are turned on her. It will take much placating to get her calmed down in such situations.

As a hatchling, this green will be a thorn to both her rider and her clutchmates. Like a spoiled Lord Holder's daughter, she believes she was born better than all the rest. Any fear directed towards dragons is seen as silly and Morrigath does not hesitate in telling Hers so often, and not too kindly. Her criticisms are not reserved for Hers alone, to their relief. If Morrigath finds something she dislikes in her clutchmates, a dirty hide, and timid attitude, she will inform them of their various shortcomings.

Age brings a more tolerable dose of discretion for this fickle darling. She has finally come to an understanding with the concept of drawing more flies with honey, and will not be above coquettish flirtation and vapid admiration in order to get her way. Her opinions are as straight-forward as they ever were, but the insulted might be more willing to forgive and forget - an invaluable trick with larger, more powerful dragons. Her discriminating eye towards her rider has also softened with time, her finicky eye for detail more lenient after realizing the hurt and strain she's put on the poor dear. She loves Hers dearly, Morrigath just wants the best for them! They must understand, and the dragon is even willing to glance over a few flaring errors now and again. She knows better than to ply Hers with the tricks she plays on others, Hers is undoubtedly familiar with them. Rather, she'll try and draw Hers into her plans and experimentation, desiring something for them both of them to pour themselves into. It works for Morrigath, why shouldn't it work for her rider?

Morrigath's conceited nature makes it hard going for her wingmates. Almost like a child, she spends more time showing off than doing things correctly. She has the potential to be a skilled fighter, but her childish antics making that difficult to see. Both of them will get laced often if Hers doesn't keep a watchful during 'Falls.

In Flights, she will be more like to choose a male with the most impressive displace. She will take into consideration not only how well they fly, but how hard they fight their competitors, and how striking she finds their markings. Of course, Morrigath will sometimes find herself Caught quite by accident, as she tires to outdo the males with her own acrobatics. As with Threadfall, she spends more time showing off than focusing on the task at hand.

Name Meaning: Morrigan meaning 'great queen'.

Name: Kosth
Color: Green
Size: Small
Impresse: T’anis
Personality: Though seemingly a happy, friendly dragon, Kosth has a definite persecution complex. Every little word, every critique or boast, is an intentional slight against her or Hers. She won't complain about it, though, except to her closest friends and those that she thinks can do something about it. And this sly little green certainly doesn’t mind exaggerating or bending the truth to get what she wants. Whatever it takes to convince someone to enact her revenge. But whatever the insult, Kosth will never complain to Hers; she is far too worried about causing him to fret. On the other hand, she is happy to listen, and sometimes even seek vengeance on his behalf.

Kosth will treat T’anis with an almost motherly affection. She is always encouraging him, nodding him along while scheming and plotting behind his back to make sure he gets his way. She is overprotective to the highest extreme, suspicious of everyone who interacts with him. Anyone who speaks badly of Hers is an evil, scheming person who is plotting against them! (which she will waste no time in telling to everyone) and even those trying to be friendly are guilty of 'taking advantage of his kindness', 'tiring him out', or else are just a 'bad influence'. Kosth doesn't mean to keep him to herself, though. She wants him to have friends, she just doesn't believe that anyone is good enough for him.

Although Kosth never shines herself, she has a talent at finding friends in high places and using them to her benefit. Her friends will have to deal with her constant complaints, but if they do, they will have an unwavering and powerful ally. If they do right by her, Kosth will do the same for them. She will believe whole-heartedly in their greatness and do whatever she can to convince others of it too. Kosth loves to surround herself with excellence. She may not believe herself to be one of them, but she most certainly believes she belongs among them. She will help them, she will lean on them, she will hide behind them, but she will always be there, both driving them onwards and riding their coattails into glory.

Kosth talks a lot about how bad she is at everything, and particularly how much better everyone else is than her. It is difficult to tell whether this stems from low self-confidence, or if she is simply flattering others and fishing for complements at the same time. She doesn’t mind taking hits. She likes to makes others feel sorry for her. The only thing she cannot abide is an insult to Tobranis or her friends. That is unforgivable.

Size: Above Average: quite large for a green, big enough to rival the smallest blues and with a particularly sturdy build

Personality:
Dawonth is here! Forget that bigger dragon over there, Dawonth is taking center stage now! This green is equal to any bronze in dignity, and thus considers herself as good as any bronze. She attempts to intimidate bigger dragons, especially Ziuth, but he is physically and mentally weaker than her brother and is often overpowered into submission. She doesn’t let that stop her for long, or keep her from Flights. She’s just as flirty as her brother and likely to rise for Flights frequently, and flirt with the males in between.

Dawonth’s moods are as unpredictable and varying as the ocean; at times she appears calm an serene, while other times he violently lashes out in a storm of fury. In order to avoid her wrath it’s best to stay on her good side; flattery and gifts are appreciated and remembered to the best of her ability. Though draconic memory being what it is, she'll need periodic tokens of good will to remember that she likes this person. When she likes someone she can be very cooperative and helpful. To those she favors and those she sees as “his,” she will happily offer protection and assistance.

In contrast, when Dawonth feels she’s wronged she is very likely to hold a grudge and get revenge, especially when in her more temperamental moods. She seems to have a better memory for incidents that require vengeance, but it still isn’t perfect. Surely her Verra will help her remember, so together they can teach their enemies a lesson. Unlike her rider, she prefers a fairly straightforward application of intimidation and fear, though of course she could never hurt a human. She and her Verra will show everyone that they will surpass all that go against them, no matter what people think of their gender, color or birth order.

She has a notable fondness for the ocean, and will often be found swimming or playing in it. Sometimes she churns it up into frothing waves with her antics, other times he swims calmly or even helps sailors in need of assistance.

Mental Voice: When calm, her voice has a faint undercurrent like the gentle hiss of waves on the sand. When enraged, her voice crashes and booms like storm-tossed waves breaking on rocky shores.

Inspiration: Poseidon, Greek god of the oceans. The name is based on dâwon, meaning "water" in Greek. It also comes from one possible origin on Poseidon's name: Posei-dawōn, which given the fact that posis means "husband" or "lord," means Poseidon may mean "Lord of the water."

Name: Otygiath

Personality: Otygiath will be a night animal, always wanting to stay up late and sleep during the day, which is bound to throw him and His into some problems during candidate lessons. Part of this is because the night is the best time to be alone. But Otygiath also has a unique fondness for the stars.

He is very devoted to His and to his friends, and to any females he is particularly fond of. If you're on his list of favourites, you will never find anyone more actively helpful and pleasant to be around. And he is willing to extend this catagory to include anyone that His likes and he will treasure their family and friends as if they were his own. On the other side of things, he is very certain of who he doesn't like! Basically, if you're not one, then you're the other. And for that reason, he will have trouble getting to know anyone he doesn't already consider his friend.

When he really doesn't like someone, he will purposely avoid them, going as far as to make up elaborate reasons not to be in the same place they are. There needn't any particular reason for his dislike, it is usually just a general feeling he gets from someone, as Otygiath makes snap, first-impression decisions about people and tends to stick to them.

While he may seem unfriendly, in fact Otygiath is just very shy. But while he hates unnecessary attention, Otygiath is no push-over, as anyone who crosses him would know! In fact, he may find he is willing to stand up to people most others wouldn't. He is not a timid creature at all- he just knows what he likes; small amounts of company, and as little of the lime-light as possible, thank you very much!

Namesake: Otygiath, from Asteria, sister of Leto, the goddess of night-time oracles and falling stars, who -when pursued by Zeus- flung herself into the Aegean sea in the form of a quail and transformed into the 'quail' island of Otygia.
